Ayane is a very tomboyish girl. She loves to mess around with people and have fun with the people she likes every single day of her life. She doesn't regard herself as a troublemaker nor clumsy but everyone else would agree that she has no sense of balance and doesn't know when enough is enough. This is a trait she wont lose any time soon as it is also one of her most distinguishing features. That, and sitting on peoples shoulders and riding them like some weird horse.

Ayane isn't easily saddened or depressed and is rarely frustrated by simple things. This makes her one happy person that loves others that love her. She doesn't appear to have sexual orientation but has hinted that she likes girls as well as guys and maybe even prefers girls. There has been however one note of her anger being seen. This was at a time where a shinigami bad mouthed her older sister of which was of high authority over his kind. In sheer madness, Ayane killed the man with her hidden strength. This little girl in pink loves to eat which is somewhat surprising for a girl with such a tiny stature. Every time she hears cooking or smells food, she will go somewhat insane and attempt to get the food all for herself. This greedy attitude however is quite often overlooked as she has the appetite of a cat.

Also, her love for her sister is one of the main things that keeps her heart beating. Some would consider her relationship with her older sister strange and freakish, but she just wants to make sure April knows she is there and to never leave her. There have been some times in the past where Ayane was jokingly told April was dead. Those that told her, didn't live long enough to smile and those that had to stop her from crying and throwing tantrums were hospitalized. Ayane also has a strict fear of water but loves to go paddling which kinda cancels her fear out in a stupid way. She would more than happily sit in a bath or paddling pool and play like a four year old would. However, when it comes to swimming pools and Oceans, she will NOT go anywhere near water out of sheer terror. One time she managed to get shoved into the ocean from a pier and ever since then, has hates sea water and any kind of water above her hips.

Nethertheless, her biggest fear of all is the death of her older sister. If anything bad were to happen to April, Ayane would probably enter a state of mass depression and change completely like a spoilt teenager. She would probably go as far as suicide if the mood was right.

The hidden side of Ayane and her Musical Talent

There has always been a little hidden side to this girl that she is somewhat embarrassed to talk about. This would be her skills with a musical instrument: The Electric Guitar. Ever since she was young, the only source of entertainment she had was an old acoustic guitar she had in her bedroom and fighting to train herself. Because of all those years, teaching herself to play, she became amazing without even realising she was that good. One day when messing around in her barracks, she came across her guitar and began to play it. Everyone was slightly astounded at how well she could play a song with so many notes without even looking at a music sheet. All the Shinigami with her cheered her on and after a while, that one day influenced her taste on both music and the way she spent her free time. Now, its quite often to hear music blasting from the barracks as she practices some random Tabs she wrote.

After a while, people flocked to her and asked if she would perform for them at parties, gigs and even weddings.... what fun



Appearance:

Ayane has a Natural pink hair colour that was gained through her parents genes just like her sister. This hair is usually a mess but she keeps a small part held together with a hair clip in the shape of a red cross. Her body is wrapped in a black jacket and underneath that is a scruffy white shirt with a red tie. A black belt holds up a red patterned miniskirt that barely covers her hips. Her eyes are a peculiar blend of olive from a mixture of a green and yellow colour.

Hiyokan is usually a happy little bird that has a little trick up her feathers. She will NOT talk to anybody for a few reasons. One of these is because she likes people to think that she can't talk even if she wanted to. When she does talk, its quite weird to hear such a chirpy girls voice from her lungs. Whenever Hiyokan gets angry, she would usually peck the living shit out of whatever it is that just angered her. She would even start setting things on fire just to stop a small argument.

Hiyokan is a very small chick that lives inside Ayane's inner world. She has a habit of materialising and hiding in Ayane's handbag stealing her chips whenever the girl hides them out of sight from other shinigami. Ayane still hasn't figured out who is stealing her chips through her bag and has been investigating for quite a while. Hoyokan would then chirp victoriously. The feathers of the little bird are an orangey yelow and vary on different parts of her body. Her eyes covered quite a large amount of her head and she stands at about 5 inches. even though she has very small wings, she can flutter about but only for a short while.

Hiyokan Fenikkusu is a massive bird covered in red feathers and golden ornaments. This creature is what Hiyokan becomes while Ayane is in her Bankai state. The personality of this bird is a lot more strict and serious than her smaller counterpart. One false move and Hiyokan would snap Ayane up and teach her a lesson about manners.

The inner world of Ayane is one freakishly messed up landscape. Imagine an ocean that was removed and replaced with plastic balls commonly found in ball-pits. This endless sea of balls is where her zanpakutou likes to wander around and inside. Ayane herself, doesn't mind the place seeing as its not water and she can actually swim in them quite well.

Shikai Abilities:

• Blaze Blast
  Ayane charges flames into both of her palms that rages quite powerfully. From here, she slams her wrists together to merge the flames into a single ball of which is launched off as a projectile. This would then detonate upon impact creating a large explosion about 8m wide in diameter
  
  
• Pyro Slam
  Ayane conjures flames around her arm and moves its rotatory pattern across her body to other limbs. When she attacks with the limb that is covered in the flames, the attack is brought much stronger than before and leaves a sweeping flame behind the attack.
  
  
• Solar Flare
  Ayane can conjure a sphere of fire and light energy into a hard ball that floats above her hand while she holds it out in front of her. This will light up the area like a torch and is quite powerful. When it is thrown, it will literally go off like a grenade.
  
  
• Blazing Kisses
  Ayane holds her hands up to her mouth after rubbing them together a little bit to build up some heat. By blowing hard into her hands, she creates an orb of fire and light that spins around on her hand uncontrollably. This ball of flames only activates properly when it enters a certain speed. After being thrown into the air, it will detonate immediately and become about 5 - 7 smaller balls of flame that zoom off in random directions. These small flames also detonate after a few seconds creating 2 more within each that brings the total up to 14 smaller fireballs that will pop and burn those they touch.

Bankai Abilities:

• Blaze Inferno
  Ayane Charges flames into both of her palms the size of bowling balls. These are then blasted off her hands and into the target of which creates two large explosions
  
  
• Pyro Rave
  Ayane can use her Pyro Slam as a projectile by kicking with a wide sweep creating a large crescent blast of fire in the direction she kicked.
  
  
• Solar Warding
  Ayane creates three spheres of light energy to hover around her shoulders. While these are active, her fire attacks are stronger and her light attacks last longer than normal. Each power used causes a ward to fall apart and disappear but if Ayane wishes, she can send them flying as explosives.
  
  
• Twilight Blast
  By slamming her palm into something, Ayane can cause a blast of light to shoot up from the floor that burns those standing in it. This blast is about 2m wide in diameter and lasts a few seconds
  
  
• Burning Raid
  Ayane sets herself on fire and combines shunpo with her deftness. Like this, she slams into targets and burns them with the density of a sword slicing horizontally at a very fast pace.
  
  
• Infinite Light Grenades
  Ayane can only use this power against high levelled foes
  
  Ayane creates an uncountable number of Light wards that zoom into the sky creating what appears to be a miniature sun. This, then slams downwards onto the area, not detonating, but propelling all the light grenades within, outwards in a scatter. These will then explode with the force of the light wards.
  
  
• Wrath and Sadness
  
  If at any point, Ayane were to see April or Poliro die, she would activate this attack as a final determination to eliminate her foes while taking her own life with it.
  
  Ayane would usually start this off by sitting on her knee's and staring deeply at the corpse. Suddenly, gigantic flames shoot out of her. These flames will continuously pour out and burn everything around her until they reach towards the sky in a spiralling pattern to mimic a hurricane in appearance. This, would then suddenly boost speed tenfold to create an actual moving hurricane of flames that slowly closes in on itself and killing Ayane inside with her their body. In theory, this move is only a source of suicide...
  

History/Background:
Ayane used to live her life away from her older sister until they met close to Ayane's eventful day. Where April was with her family most of the time, Ayane was a lost child at the age of 3. During a raid at a thieves guild that the family lived for, Ayane was hit by a nasty surprise as it all went up in flames while she slept. Struggling to even wake up from the crumbling debris around her, Ayane managed to fall out of a window and escape by crawling away slowly. At such a young age, this little girl managed to escape her death and fled unwillingly to a new location. An old man found her crawling through the streets and chose to adopt her as his daughter. From her, her name was Madeline Taptowel under the authority of Old Man Raikenkesh. This old man looked after her through her life until the age of 5 where she took a wander into the forest. Raikenkesh told her not to travel too far because of demons that lived within. The old man was very knowledgeable about these sorts of things which wasn't a surprise. He wore shinigami garbs.

Before even stepping out of the house, Madeline was given a lesson on Shinigami and hollows. After she knew what to look out for, she travelled into the woods to play around. After a while, she felt a sense of foreboding. Something was watching her and it made her feel uneasy. Her walk turned into a jog which quickly became a run. Soon, she was sprinting out of fear away from the safest place she could rely to be. The old man was out shopping in town now so going home would only provide shelter. Bursting through a thicket, Madeline appeared in a large clearing with a huge lake in the middle. She had never been here before nor had she been this close to an actual lake. She lived inside the house all the time and only recently started to go outside. So this is what is behind all those trees? Suddenly, something made her jump out of her skin as a short yell following by a loud crash into water could be heard a few yards away. The water next to her was now in the air with something just as scary standing next to it. A huge monster with a white mask stood with its back to Madeline. Then it turned round and spotted her. Quickly, she let out a scream and ran backwards as fast as she could before turning her weight to run forwards. Getting closer to the house, she realised the creature had stopped following and was more interested in something else. Was that a hollow? Madeline had a few questions but her young age caught up with her. Soon, she fell asleep in the middle of the woods up against a tree.

Waking up later, she found herself back home with the old man she now called father. She preferred to call him gramps but he didn't cater to the name too much. He warned her about going too far into the woods and gave little sympathy to her frightening experience. She had to learn that this world isn't as great as she had wanted it to be. Soon, she became 7 and the old man decided it would be best if she learned how to defend herself. The house they lived in was a small cottage but the dining room was also a part dojo. Madeline didn't want to learn any weapon combat mainly because she knew she couldn't hold a sword nor wield a pole arm. Instead, she just wanted to learn how to fight with her fists. Her tutor, the old man, was a very harsh man when it came to training and gave her the full punishment that meant to becoming a powerful warrior. the training started with simple reflexes to block and never dodge. He would throw a very fast punch and Madeline would attempt to smack it out of the way and lay her own into her stomach. This, took hundreds of tries to perfect. But soon, close to her 8th birthday she had managed to perfect a sequence that allowed her to block, strike, grab and throw which the old man didn't know she could do. Her fighting style became her own, and she thought like a wild girl.

News quickly spread about a girl exactly one year older than her had amazing strength and was literally a super hero. The old man saw this as an opportunity and took her to the home of this warrior. This place seemed so familiar to Madeline but she couldn't remember why. The old man walked into the main chambers and Madeline followed behind her. there, stood two people, the owner of the building and a girl. She was young and about a year older than she was. But, the fierce power that she was emitting made Madeline shiver in fear. Quickly, she ran out of the room and into the courtyard. She didn't want to fight something with an aura like that and the old man agreed. It didn't matter though because they declined his offer and sent him packing. Walking out of the courtyard the long way, Madeline spotted something among a set of flowers. A gravestone among roses sat against a wall a few yards away. Something on it caught her eye so she went to take a look. the old man was a bit resentful, but followed her over anyway. There, on the gravestone was a name: Ayane Redwood, died at the age of 3 during the fall of the first thieves guild. The main thing that made Madeline gasp was a picture on the grave. It was weird to have an image printed into stone but this one was awkwardly special and symbolised something. This picture showed Madeline at the age of three. Then the Old man stepped up to her and began to speak.

"well, looks like you finally found it. It has taken you a whole 4 years to understand who you truly are. I found you when you were just a baby and brought you into my home. There, i chose to name you as i had no idea at the time. When you were at the lake, i realised exactly who you were. Madeline... or should i say... Ayane Redwood. This is your true past and your true future."

Ayane had little to say but wanted to say it anyway.

"So that means that girl from before.... the one i was supposed to fight... she was..."

"yes... when you ran out of the room, i had a little chat with the owner here and he said you looked familiar. When he told me a girl died here 4 years ago, the day i found you, i realised exactly what had happened."

"but...but..."

"That girl you grew so scared of, is your sister"

Ayane quickly grew a face full of tears. She turned and ran away as fast as she could. The old man didn't bother to stop her because she needed to have some time to think. Raikenkesh returned home to find her in her room punching the wall till her fists bled. She had made a couple of dents and a lot of destroyed toys and ornaments lay scattered on the floor. However, the old man did not care for that, he knew she was up to something. Turning around, she raised her blood stained fist to him.

"If that is my sister and she has that much power, then I must become stronger. I want to be able to stand in front of her without showing a shred of fear. I want to defeat her in a fair fight"

Even though this wish wasn't an easy one to achieve, Raikenkesh helped her train for the next 9 years of her life until she joined high school. Now she was fifteen and was in the same class as a group of idiots and some bigger guys. She hadn't been around guys a great deal and didn't like them looking at her. The main reason they stared at her was to figure something out. Is she related to her? Nobody brought up the guts to say anything until a guy with orange hair randomly appeared one day. He wore the same clothing as Raikenkesh and held a large sword in his hand. He walked straight up to Ayane who was staring straight back at him.

"Hey you girl, what is up with your sister?"

"wha....what?"

"The girl in the year above you. You know, pink hair, good looks, always scaring the shit out of the guys"

"SHE'S HERE!!!"

Ayane quickly stood up and shot out of the room. Running as fast as she could, she met this supposed girl walking towards her that the man meant. She looked just like the girl all those years ago that scared her to death. As she ran, the girl gave no hint as to looking at Ayane nor caring that she was running straight up to her. As Ayane got closer, she knew there was no point in even trying. She intended to lay her fist into her face and send her flying backwards. But she knew that if she tried, she would just break her arm and might even lose it. So, she ran straight past. That day turned out to be the worst day of her life. She watched the April around school like a hawk making sure she didn't do anything strange. Ayane also wanted to know how she was so strong but she would have been better leaving it alone. one night when she finally hunted down Aprils home, she stood outside the door thinking about what to do next. Then suddenly from behind, a loud crash caught her off guard and within an instant, her face had struck the floor. Turning around, a small group of hollows had turned up. This wouldn't be much trouble for her seeing as she spent over nine years training herself.

She sprang back onto her feet and dashed into the first hollow laying her fist straight through it's mask. The Old man used stray hollows as training dummies for her so this was no new feat. Soon, the group was eliminated with crushed bones and trashed masks. but that wasn't the end of it. Soon, a giant creature crawled over a nearby building with huge fangs and giant pincers. An Adjuchas class hollow had appeared which Ayane had never encountered before. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't injure the monster which now had her pinned up against Aprils house wall. Sadly, she wasn't even inside that night as she was busy fixing a mess with some people she knew. That night, Ayane was slain by this creature and her body was lost to the winds. Soon, she awoke in soul society. Suddenly bursting upwards and slamming her head against a wall, she figured out that she was dead and now lived in the scrum of this district. She lived the next few months of her life in agony and hunger without knowing a thing about the place. Hollows appeared to try and eat her again but she stopped them quickly and defended her new refuge. Later, Shinigami began to flock around the area to try and find somebody. A girl that had recently joined the shinigami academy and was destroying every opponent she faced. Walking outside, she found the somebody that made her heart stop. Standing outside before four men was April. She was a shinigami now? Ayane just watched behind a stall to see what was happening. April easily bludgered three of them before the fourth fell onto the stall Ayane was hiding behind. He noticed Ayane and grabbed her by the throat.

"Come any closer, and this girl will be seeing red"

But April gave no answer. The only thing going through the two girls minds was the day Ayane ran straight past her in high school. That may have been a while ago but its the longest the two had ever been near each other. Quickly, the man fell down with a sword through his chest, but as he fell, he cut the throat of Ayane who was still choking in his hands. Her Rukongai life was cut short. Then again, Just like before, She woke up randomly and slammed her head on the ceiling of a bunkbed. Looking around, she found herself in a shinigami barracks a whole five years later. For some reason, she was still at the age of fifteen and could still move around. Didn't she die? That's when April walked into the room and handed her a glass of milk. She looked very happy to see Ayane awake and explained everything. Ever since the start when they were only 7, April knew who Ayane was. When she was slain by the man, she couldn't just let that be the end and put a her soul back into her body via a mod soul pill. So Ayane's soul is within a replica of her old body. This body wont age and also holds unique powers. One of these includes something where April shoved her hand down Ayane's throat. Ayane was shocked at first and fainted soon after. Then, she awoke as a small puppy with white fur. April picked this toy out especially to be her plushie form.

So from that point, Ayane lived in a shoe box next to Aprils bed. However, being a Mod Soul did have its downsides. Ayane could never be spotted by any Shinigami other than those in her squad which means she could never leave the barracks without a guide or someone to provide her with an alibi. Soon, Ayane also realised she was never going to become stronger while stuck within a small puppy toy and being a mod soul. So, she took it up with her sister. After a long conversation, Ayane convinced April to take her to squad 12 and perform an experiment on her body. What this 2 year project did to Ayane, was remove the Mod Soul capabilities from her, and traded them over for Shinigami blood and genes. Some of these were taken out of April and copied so Ayane could use Shikai and Bankai like any other person.

So from then onwards, Ayane took to the streets of Soul Society as a Shinigami rather than a Mod Soul. Now having a zanpakutou of her won, she seeks the path to greater power to be strong like her sister.
