Yoruichi's amber eyes seemed to be the only life about her at this moment, liquid spirit swirling through them while they stared up into the great blue expanse known as the sky. The only thing to break the solid beryl color would be the puffy white clouds, like accumulations of snow that drifted from horizon to horizon, defying the downward attraction of gravity. However way you wished to describe what your eyes saw, to peer into the sky was a tranquil and relaxing enterprise indeed. Of course, there was the occasional disturbance that drew the woman's attention away from the simplisticly beautiful view, though she tended not to dwell on these things for too long. Her aim today was to relax, as she had yesterday, and the day before... Things were uncomplicated in her life right now, whether it be that her conscious was legitimately clear or that she was stifling the tensions. So she could afford to just bore her eyes out with the beautiful day for hours on end without so much as something to worry about. She could afford to sit so still it looked like she was but part of the scenery, as that would be the current case: A black ball of fur was adorning the shingles of the Urahara Shouten's roof, a cat by the name of Yoruichi Shihouin. As previously mentioned, she sat like a statue, and only her eyes seemed to swim with life. Her moderately long black fur could be said to be moving, but only by the gentle caress of the mid-day winds, and not of Yoruichi's own intent. It was only until her keen ears detected the quiet padding of feet heading in the direction of Urahara's shop that she showed signs of life. Despite being on the opposite slope of the roof, her head would slightly turn in the direction of the sound as her left ear perked up. Sure enough, the sound of knocking sounded, probably meaning that one of Kisuke's associates had arrived. After all, there was no way anybody was coming for the man's half-rate human products. As if.
The only thing was that Kisuke was not in at the moment, which was odd if this arrival was really an associate of his. Maybe it was a friend just popping by? Yoruichi's feline head turned further in the direction of the stranger, which if it weren't for the design of the building would place them within her field of view. Still, the woman was not incompetent in the art of sensing spiritual energy, and therefore could 'see' that this was no ordinary human. Yeah, it seemed she would really have to address the matter herself before this person left, since they were probably important and Urahara was nowhere near the area. Resigned, the black cat was on the move, appearing over the apex of Urahara Shouten and softly padding down the opposite slope of the roof. Her petite form fell down to the ground behind this stranger, and when she turned around to face the towering human figure, she came to terms with a young female. This woman had a head of purple hair quite a bit darker than Yoruichi's own, drawn up in a ponytail by a red ribbon. The cat would take her seat silently on the ground behind her, because by chance she had just begun speaking to drown out the sound of her paws landing on the ground. The Shihouin was more than surprised to hear the nostalgiac name 'Ceon', one of her students and close friends. And then she realized that this person must have been that lucky lady he had married. With a subtle smile only a cat could make, and a swish of her tail, the feline would clear her throat and speak in that contralto voice of hers. "Well, well, well. If it isn't Misses Clixx-Kimura," she spoke out bemusedly, hoping to catch the attention of the woman in front of her. She also anticipated the reaction she would recieve when it was discovered that such a scratchy masculine voice came from the small furry creature. Yoruichi's vivid golden hues would be peering up at the tan ones that would turn to meet her.
Ah, Ceon, you fortunate man. She's as beautiful as you say. Yoruichi's eyelids closed for a second as she recalled pleasant memories, but quickly returned to the present before her silence became awkward. She would speak yet again to confirm that a cat indeed had a voice of her own. "Your husband is out at the moment; so is Urahara. But, if you'd like you can come in. Just, you'll have to open the door." She would raise one of her paws to show the lack of an opposable thumb, in case she didn't understand at first. As for the door, it would be unlocked with Tessai to at least watch over the shop. Yoruichi was more than willing to invite the wife of an old friend inside, hence the fact that she spoke aloud at all. Besides, it was not like she had anything better to do at the moment, so hopefully she could get to know the beloved spouse of her former student in the lax environment of a lazy day. "You must be Senna. Ceon told me a lot about you, but left quite a bit to mystery. I'm Yoruichi Shihouin, and it's nice to meet you." Having introduced herself, she would bring her paw to her mouth and begin idly cleaning herself.

It took a while, a longer while than Yoruichi really could say she expected from the woman; she simply sat there on the ground waiting for the revelation to come that a cat had indeed spoken, and yet it took her a second utterance for Senna to realize exactly the source of the scratchy voice. At that point, Yoruichi expected a form of comprehension to shed upon her gaze, and yet only confusion and slight doubt etched itself upon those tan hues. Apparently, Ceon had not shared very much about her with his wife, slightly annoying the woman a bit. Now realizing that she was not even a big subject of discussion for Ceon made her mentally curse the man, and furnished the desire to beat him over the head the next time she saw him; she would most certainly remember that desire. That was a matter for another time, however, given that she was meeting Senna today. She just managed to speak aloud before the pregnant woman started screeching something about Ceon, or so she figured. Hell, she could sympathize a little with her at the moment, but felt that now was not the time. Ceon would get his share—his full share—when the time came... that thought gave Yoruichi closure to the matter. So, she greeted Senna and granted her name, expressing her pleasure in seeing her for the first time in person.
And then she waited... and waited. Senna reverted back into a state of bewilderment as if she couldn't quite understand the feline's words. Or perhaps she was still stuck on the issue of language flowing out of a cat's mouth; though flowing wasn't quite the accurate description for this coarse voice. Yoruichi would tilt her head and wonder just what was going on in Senna's mind, but her answer came soon afterwards. A great toothy smile spread across the pregnant woman's face as the entire expression shifted; she shifted gears faster than Yoruichi could. She almost jumped back as Senna closed the distance between their faces to mere inches and screamed the fact; "Ceon has spoken to you!" As it was, Yoruichi had one paw at the ready to claw at something, as if she were expecting some form of attack upon her. Though none came, the situation at hand was enough to create a large sweat drop upon her face, and cause her to widen her eyes. Then they both seemed to be frozen... no, not precisely. The look in Senna's eyes was intent, waiting for something and sure to catch it when it came. But Yoruichi did not know what the woman could possibly be anticipating from her, hence her reluctance to say anything.
When Yoruichi finally broke the silence, it came out slowly. Ehh... Yes? she stated, though it sounded more of a reluctant question than anything else. It was like the cat feared the woman's retribution if she dare step on anybody's toes with her answer. Still, it eventually came out, hopefully sating the strange woman well enough to give her some breathing space. At first Yoruichi thought she was dealing with a pleasent and kind woman, believing Ceon had decent taste. Yet, this predicament got odd quickly. The only two times Senna had opened her mouth left her a little worried, and that was not to mention she was still at a loss as to what to say now. She could only try her best, stutter-stepping her way through the conversation. "Ceon has indeed spoken to me... Told me a couple things about you, like that you two were having a child. Also spoke of you as a beautiful woman... if that counts for anything." It was awkward, very awkward. Yoruichi trailed off and blinked, figuring now would be as good a time as any to move on. "Why don't we go inside now? You're surely welcome in, as Ceon's wife." She gestured to the door with her raised paw.

When the onyx-shaded cat had finished with her casual compliments, she reoccupied her tongue with the insouciant brushing of her fur upon the petite limb that had previously risen to gesture towards the door. Generally as the woman would cater to herself in such a way, her eyes would close as though the ministration was a romantic kiss. However, on this fine occasion she would peek out with one eye just to catch the satisfactory blush the etched into Senna's cheeks. The cat grinned, though the feline's facial expressions were difficult to read in this form—there was hardly a difference. Amused with the woman's expected reaction to her words, she would close that eye in contentment to fully focus on the act of cleaning herself. She had done the other leg previously, and so she might have well finished off this one too. Only when she sensed the slightly pained movement of her visitor was the cat brought out of her labor, again popping her eyes open. Her hands wrapped around her stomach, holding it tenderly as if it were the most precious gift, and to her it probably was. Yoruichi's face softened with compassion, though it became slightly distant as she indulged within her thoughts. These things always afflicted the woman with morose temperament, a dejected feeling in the pit of her stomach. She had always desired freedom; it was the nature of a cat to roam unescorted, the concept of being anchored down something undesirable. She had believed this long ago without a doubt, but it was a funny thing to get what you wished for. She had attained her supposed dream, ridding herself of the obligations of her occupation, discarding the traditions of her nobility, becoming untroubled with the expectations of her peers... It was not what she had expected. She had felt empty.
But her choice had been made and Yoruichi had been forced to resolve, enduring it for decades upon decades. When the time of self-exile came to an end, she—more than anybody—was surprised by her decision to take up past responsibilities long ago abandoned. It was like gaining a lost sense back, bringing no small degree of complacency back into her life... and yet still something elluded her. She felt stupid, incapable of guessing the missing puzzle piece despite the presence of the others outlining the shape for her. It should have been painfully obvious lying there in front of her, and yet the woman's eyes could not see it out of a deep-seated refusal to acknowledge it; denial. Part of her knew, in reality, but she didn't want to, and buried it deep down within her. She was pretty good at that, given the nature of her upbringing within the Onmitsukido, but the scale of the matter was sporadically incapable of locking down the latch of her lockbox. Seeing and realizing this woman, Senna Clixx-Kimura, had such an enamored partner was a blow to her stomach, knocking the ill-begotten knowledge right into her throat. And she knew Ceon, had been around him listening to the sheer reverance he regarded his love with, both spoken aloud and not. Their child was a blatant testament to that passion. Yoruichi twinged, forcing herself out of her brood and back the reality of the world. Something had been said; she hadn't heard. She could only hope it was not something requiring a response, and so a deep hum rumbled in the cat's throat, hoping it would sate Senna as they moved on.
Again, the nondescript nature of a cat's expression assisted her once more, having not communicated the state of Yoruichi's mind nearly as well as her human face would have. She counted on the hope that Senna was not an experienced cat-whisperer, before refocusing on the scene unfolding before her. Golden eyes were on Senna's back as she made her way through the store's front entrance, making baby steps with her short legs while Yoruichi kept up quite easily. The door had chirred in protest, causing Yoruichi to wince when it first sounded. She made a comment under her breath about the state of disrepair Urahara's little store was in, and how he couldn't even be bothered to clean the grooves of the sliding Shoji doors. Internally, a bitter taste pervaded her tongue as she realized the dilapidated structure somewhat reflected her state. It looked fairly decent, but there was a degree of ruination hidden within. But as soon as the thought left her subconscious, she was scolding herself for being so melodramatic; she would attempt to ignore the slight mordancy while she was greeting the beloved of one of her better friends. She would not allow it to affect her mood today; she had done enough musing for the day already.
"W-Wow Yoruichi-chan, this place is actually quite interesting! Do you think Urahara-san would have anything to better the health of my baby?"
The cat had ambled onward into the room beyond, paws padding along simple wooden flooring. Senna seemed impressed by the pathetically puny building, causing Yoruichi to chuckle. She would guess that this woman never really travelled much through the living world cities, never having seen what the modern era had to offer. Karakura wasn't anything special compared to the rest of Earth, and the only reason it was particularly popular was due to the intense spiritual concentration in the area, making it a 'hot spot' of sorts. Still, to see the magnificent iridescent metal towers of the world's metropolises was a sight to behold. Human's may have lacked natural power but it was made up for. Compared to the architecture of the Soul Society, human craft far surpassed it. Urahara Shouten was nothing compared to those spires that touched the skies, gleaming brightly in the sun's light. Yoruichi would not bother with the subject though, figuring that Senna would be in much more of a surprise to see it for herself. "Pffft," the scratchy voice began as Senna's question was posed, "Nah, anything you pick up here would probably only worsen your child's health. I wouldn't recommend buying anything. Though, he does have some tasty human candy..." She shook her head, disbelief running through her at her admission of the man stocking anything of worth here. As they stopped moving, the black cat would sit upon her haunches and look up to the woman again, trying really hard to turn a blind eye to motherly air about her. "By the way, why did you expect Ceon to be here of all places?"
