Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance: When in its sealed state, Serpiente Venenosa is a relatively simple weapon--a european longsword with a simple and curved guard. The majority of the weapon appears to be a silvery color, with the usual black present upon the Zanpakutō blade itself.

» Shikai Appearance: To release her Zanpakutō, Vespyr holds it up in front of her face, speaks the release, and then flicks it down to the side with a shout of the Zanpakutō's name. With that shout, the sword itself suddenly gains width and length, becoming a total of seven feet long with multiple pieces. There are a total of thirteen pieces to this weapon, including the hilt-piece. Each piece, bar the foot-long hilt/handle, is approximately half a foot long. When fully extended, the weapon has a whip-like effect and ranges up to twelve feet in attacking ability.

» Shikai Abilities:

Lock/Release: As simple as it seems: this ability is simply used by Vespyr to either lock or release the whip-like property of her Zanpakutō. When the "release" command is spoken, a loud 'click' noise occurs and the weapon's pieces suddenly move about a centimeter away from one another, only held up by the tension of the Reishi cord. This then allows for Vespyr to cause her Zanpakutō to swing and whip out with each attack, increasing her range. This also allows her to use the first section of her technique-set, specifically for the released form of her Shikai. Conversely, when Vespyr has drawn in all of the pieces of her Zanpakutō and it once more resembles a sword, she can command it to "lock". Once the command is spoken, the pieces cause a loud 'click' to occur as they once more fall back into place, locked into a single weapon. This allows her to use the second section of her technique-set, mainly used for a normal sword--it also grants her more control in her general attacks.

Venomous Delight: Simple in concept; this is what the main/only ability of Vespyr's Zanpakutō is. The edges of her Zanpakutō are covered in what seems to be a very pale green glow. When they (not the flat, but the blades) make contact with the body or soul-weapon of another spiritually-powered being, it will insert a venom into their soul, much like that of a snake. This venom, when it gets into the nature and flow of the Reishi, will start to eat away at said flow--much akin to the deterioration of skin-cells around an area of bitten flesh--causing a dent in their total Reishi stores--this dent cannot be filled while the venom is intact. This singular spread will double in size each round, dying out after either five rounds--or if Vespyr reseals (or breaks) her Zanpakutō. There can, upon one being, be an almost-unlimited number of infected regions, but since only five can be created per being per turn, there will usually only ever be a maximum of twenty-five (equating to approximately fifteen percent of their total storage space being locked away) at once on a singular being, assuming that Vespyr lands all five cuts per post. Once the venom wears off, the area is empty of Reishi, but can be filled normally.

While this ability may not do much damage to the soul of the opponent if not cut properly, there are certain methods to making combat for them much more difficult.

Firstly, if Vespyr can land cuts over any of the major blood vessels, she can cut off the flow of Reishi to that limb entirely for one round. This may disable certain abilities from working, or even cripple that limb for more of a duration--it all depends on the target. Of course, this doesn't work if Vespyr can't strategically place her cuts. A cut at throat-level may possibly paralyze the body, unless they have something like Ransotengai to use. The venom being applied directly into the Soul Sleep has a chance of disrupting the connection between soul-weapon and wielder, potentially locking that weapon temporarily in its weakest state.
