ARRANCAR RACE SPEC

The Arrancar race has evolved over the past 400 years to an almost unrecognisable stance. What the world thought they knew about Hollows has become completely void as the new Hollows walked the earth killing and eating spirits and one another.

The leaders of the Hollow Army: The Arrancar race, take their place on the white sands of the endless night in Hueco Mundo. Their fortress of Las Noches still stands proudly and all repairs to the buildings have been completed since the attacks many many years ago. Their new leader Ashlei Clixx has pushed their limits past what people would have thought was possible. Their power has increased, and the threat they bring to any protagonist Organisation is truly something to be truly afraid of.

Information on the Hollow Army and it's evolution into 'Xeno' forms have also been noted by several other organisations.

The Several Forms

Arrancar have several stages of evolution known as: The Resserecion. Arrancar regain previous forms of their bodies and power, making themselves more intimidating and powerful at every threshold removed. The normal Resserecion gives them a power boost to overthrown most shikai level shinigami and some higher tiered Arrancar can match Bankai level.

The Dues Ex engine was invented by Ashlei Clixx to boost their power even more to what she claimed to be the next stage of evolution. Their metallic bodies almost created an army of androids before they realised this was not their limit. For more information regarding this metallic form, check the link above.

The natural Arrancar resserecion known as the Segunda Etapa made its first appearance when Uluqiorra fought with ichigo Kurosaki four hundred years ago and has slowly began to appear once more as the Arrancar with greatest power lusted for even more strength. This is a very rare occurrence and has only just started to become noticeable. To get a Segunda Etapa for your Arrancar, you must get permission from Admins or Frost.

One of the most powerful forms known to Arrancar was another experiment undergone by Ashlei clixx to surpass physical limits by crossing two forms at once. By activating a Segunda Etapa and a Dues Ex engine at the same time, an Arrancar can be thrusted into their 'Synchronized Resserecion form'. This form has a very limited usage, as the initial charge up of the form can kill the user. Any Arrancar capable of holding this form for more than 5 posts would be considered a god. Test subjects that tried this form were usually disintegrated by their own reitsu imploding their bodies.

How to become one

Arrancar are evolved from Hollows that have followed the Path of a Menos Grande. The several stages of a Menos: Gillian, Adjuchas and Vasto lorde all lead into Arrancar at some stage where they remove their mask and draw their first Zanpakutō. After they have made this break through, they can become one with the Arrancar army in Las Noches by joining the combined force of Shadow Fall. Not every Hollow makes it to Vasto lorde form as they are either killed by stronger Hollows or their instinct to remove their masks takes over and they transform early.

Having a resserecion is a requirement for any Arrancar. There are no Arrancar without one.

You may also be born as an Arrancar providing one or two of your parents are Arrancar.

Racial Traits

Humanoid Form: A Menos usually takes on a Human shape when it becomes an Arrancar. The only ones that will definitely get a 100% Humanoid form are Vasto Lorde-class Menos. For the remaining two levels, there are many who don't get a completely Humanoid form, despite becoming Arrancar. Therefore, the closer one looks to a Hollow, the lower its power of reasoning. All Arrancar retain a hole in them somewhere as well as fragments of their Hollow form (in the shape of portrusions and partial masks). Some Arrancar have claimed that they gave up their Human forms in order to obtain enormous power. While some Arrancar (e.g. Nnoitra Gilga and Tier Harribel) prefer to conceal the remnants of their past, others choose to hide their faces completely to escape unwanted attention. Most also have a colored marking of some sort on their face, although some only gain these markings upon the release of their Zanpakutō (Ex: Nnoitra, Szayel Aporro, and Harribel). A few cases that include marks visible without the release of a Zanpakutō include Ulquiorra's tear marks, Sun-Sun's pink dots, the dashes under Grimmjow's eyes, the marking which runs across Nelliel's cheekbones and nose, and the marks on Yammy's cheek bones.

Physiology: Uryū Ishida theorized Arrancar share not only the powers of Shinigami, but also their anatomy. During his battle with Cirucci Sanderwicci he aimed for the area where the Chain of Fate would be located, and upon striking it Cirucci immediately lost not only her release form and mask fragment, but seemingly all traces of her former power.

Estigma: The pattern on an Arrancar's face. Potentially the remaining part of a mask. Unique to each individual. The pattern may appear when performing Resurrección for some Arrancar.

Hollow Hole: one of the most distinctive characteristics of an Arrancar is the hole in their body. It is said to represent the lack of souls that is difficult to fill.

Zanpakutō: The Arrancar seal the nuclei of their abilities within the form of a sword. It is entirely different from what Shinigami use. When they release their Zanpakutōs' seals they unleash their true power and their true form. The combat efficiency of an Arrancar with a released Zanpakutō is increased several times over. Therefore, an Arrancar's release of their Zanpakutō is merely a temporary restoration to their former selves, granting them any powers their Hollow form possesses. The act of release is called Resurrección (Spanish for "Resurrection"), which is activated with a command phrase followed by the name of the sword. An Espada's Resurrección is claimed to be different from that of a normal Arrancar.

Bala (虚弾 (バラ), Bara; Spanish for "Bullet," Japanese for "Hollow Bullet") a technique of firing his hardened spiritual pressure against his enemies. Less powerful than a Cero, but it can be successively fired at 20 times the rate.

Cero (虚閃 (セロ), Sero; Spanish for "Zero," Japanese for "Hollow Flash," "Doom Blast" in the Viz translation) a powerful spiritual light fired by Menos Grandes and Arrancar.

Descorrer (解空(デスコレール), Desukorēru; Japanese for "Loosed Void", Spanish for "Drawing Back/Opening"): A technique used by Espada-level Arrancar and sometimes others, to open a Garganta between the living world and Hueco Mundo.

Garganta (黒腔 (ガルガンタ), Garuganta; Spanish for "Throat", Japanese for "Black Cavity") is how Arrancar and Hollows are able to move in and out from Hueco Mundo. It is a spiritual pathway connecting the Arrancar's world, Hueco Mundo, to other worlds. Besides the World of the Living and the Soul Society, it can also open the gates of the Dangai and K-World. A turbulence of Reishi blows within Garganta. To move through it, travellers must create footholds using the Reishi.

Garganta Broadcast: a visual broadcast similar to a television screen, created by using individual Garganta portals. Ulquiorra Cifer does this in order to show the current predicament of Orihime Inoue's friends (Ichigo Kurosaki, Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto) fighting their respective battles.[6] It is unknown if he could create as many as desired, or if three broadcasts are his limit.

Gran Rey Cero (王虚の閃光 (グラン・レイ・セロ), Guran Rei Sero; Spanish for "Grand King Zero", Japanese for "Royal Hollow Flash") The ultimate Cero that can only be used by Espadas. It is so powerful, it distorts the surrounding space.

Hierro (鋼皮 (イエロ), Iero; Spanish for "Iron," Japanese for "Steel Skin") An Arrancar's outer skin with high spiritual hardness that serves as armor.

Pesquisa (探査回路 (ペスキサ), Pesukisa; Spanish for "Inquiry," Japanese for "Probe Circuit") An Arrancar ability to measure and locate spiritual pressure.

Resurrección (帰刃 (レスレクシオン), Resurekushion; Spanish for "Resurrection," Japanese for "Returning Blade") Releasing the core of an Arrancar' ability sealed in their Zanpakutō to regain the original powers of a Hollow. They often take on a form closer to a Hollow than a Human after performing Resurrección.

Sonído (響転 (ソニード), Sonīdo; Spanish for "Sound," Japanese for "Sound Ceremony") The Arrancar equivalent to a Shinigami's Shunpo.

Caja Negación (反膜の匪 (カハ・ネガシオン), kaha negashion; Spanish for "Negation Box," Japanese for "Anti-Membrane of Negation") A tool used by Espadas to punish their subordinates. It traps its subject eternally in a closed dimension. The tool is a small black cube that, when thrusted into an Arrancar Hollow Hole, activates by wrapping the target in an inescapable cage that vanishes with them inside.

Unique Abilities

Some, if not all Arrancar have access to special abilities that are unique to one or two characters that does not require their Zanpakutō to be present or released to be used. This can be found in the Arrancar Template. An example of this would be Ulqiorra's ability to remove his eye and crush it to allow people in the area to see what he had seen through that eye and in some cases how he felt about what he saw.

Things to Remember

• For the past decade, Ashlei Clixx has lead the Espada. Not Aizen, thus she is the Leader of Hollows and is the force that they all answer to.
  
• Arrancar do not devour spirits to grow stronger. That trait is left behind when they remove their masks.
  
• Resserecion is a form that makes the Arrancar look like their old Hollow self. When adding a resserecion, try your best to make it look like some sort of physical change has occurred.
  
• Arrancar do NOT necessarily have to be antagonists, nor do they have to join Shadow Fall.
