Colliding Souls [Archer vs Gilgamesh, private]

There were many hidden places in these lands that nobody had ever cared to record on any map. And our story today takes us to one such place, and towards a clash of two souls with the same origin, yet a completely different story behind them... And for sure, this meeting would leave marks in both of them.

The story of this place begins with one particular Sugiura - one without a name, or so it seems. Silver-white hair, darkened skin, and eyes like liquid steel - he was Archer, the red knight. Clad in his coat and battle armor, he was quite the tall and amazing sight to behold from a viewers perspective - there was no fault in his visible skin, or in the way he stood there, like an absolute statue of a true warrior. Of course, the reason behind that wasn't all that 'nice' - he was not a true Sugiura anymore. Long ago - for him, at least - he had sold his self to the root, to become a Counter Guardian forever. He was here only because of someone who dared to interfere with the root - a special Magus of interesting power and violent personality.
However, she was not here today to provide him with extra Reiatsu. Not that it was needed - as 'Archer', he was capable of 'independent action' for multiple days, even while possibly fighting, without getting tired out by the loss of power. This special ability made him able to act on his own agenda more often than any normal Counter Guardian.

This place was quite beautiful - a small hill on which the warrior stood, grass and wildflowers blooming at his feet. The meadow around him was peaceful and quiet, and since this was not planet earth, no direct chirping of birds could be heard around him - only the wind that rustled the vegitation and his hair. Slowly, Archer closed his eyes - he remembered this wide, open field. To the south, he'd find a small lake - around one hour travel time to the west, and he'd run into one of the smaller dessert areas of these lands, the east and north lead into densely forested areas and even jungles that were populated by a lot of rather dangerous feral Guardian Beasts.
The reason why he knew this place so well was only known to him - this was the place of his final battle. Where he had died, on a hill of swords. His memories were still there - this hill, replaced by steel and blood, drunk on victory and success, his life without a meaning... Yet nobody would ever experience this moment again, if things went his way. He'd destroy him - his younger self. Emiya Shirou would not survive this time - Archer would break time and rescue his own self by never having existed. That was the only way.

The moment of remembrance was cut short, though, as the other actor of our story drew near. Archer noticed a presence - his steel eyes shot upwards to the sky, and immedeatly he applied his Magecraft - Reinforcement. With it, his eyes turned into the possibly best ones in the whole world for a short time - able to see kilometers far and clear, he searched the sky for the source of this disturbance. The clash of souls was about to begin... Wether any of the combatants knew it or not.
