Tundra
Sat Oct 20, 2012 7:25 pm
In a barren rocky landscape where the mountain peaks where jagged, crumbled, ice kissed. And frosted over with a thick carpet of snow, which in some places was deep enough to swallow a jumbo jet, A lone figure was walking. Not running, nor did they seem to be walking in any given direction, no they where just basically walking. Wandering if you will in a land which was so remote, that it probably was not even a known location anymore. It was wild and so stunning yet deadly in its own way, to humans this was a death trap, they would die in the frigid tundra. If not from the snow traps, then from the bone biting temperatures which reached well under -150degree's, it was like a alien planet. A place of the world extreme's where the climate itself was against the condition that supported life. A place where inevitably death would weave its way into ones heart, many creatures died in this place, which probably was a relic a spot from the last mega ice age, a spot which never warmed up but got progressively colder as the years went by. A place, where the ground was so hard you could break steel against it to no avail. Nothing lived here, no pollution no tree's spanned this icy world. Nothing, but the mountains and the howling wind. Despite all this though there still was a lone figure just walking.. and walking, oblivious to the conditions. A figure who's skin was as pale as the snow and the world around it. Who's bare foot prints made a steady path tracks which weaved within the rocky outcrops. It was a figure with down cast eyes, and a heart as cold as the world around them. Who's eyes seemed distant, as if looking at another world light-years away. But for what reason, that was something you could not tell right away.though never did the figure stop.. no they just kept walking.. Memories flooding back from a different time. . . . . A time that was bathed in fire. . . "Who is this?.. " "someone with information" "On. . .? " "A supernatural being" " Where are you? " " A village to the north in siberia you should be able to find us" . . . . . That was the conversation, that the village elder had that night, one that was snowing just like this one. They where in desperate need of money and had contacted the army about a anomaly within their village. . . This anomaly was a humanoid. One that loved the village greatly and had been raised since the time he was found in that village. Though they never could have imagined the consequences of their own actions. The army came, it was morning, snow was fresh on the ground yet everything was still. . quiet. . . They came with torches. . . Vivid flames painted brilliant patterns throughout the village. The cries of death made a grotesque melody. People ran out on fire. . . A figure . . . . ." The snow.. was unbelievably cold. . . when looking up at the sky the figure stumbled slightly, but kept walking. . . . Half aware of where they where going.. half aware of the memories that broke to the surface. . . |

I never can understand how you can be able to tolerate the cold like this Andrew.
Andrew simply smirked as he continued to explore the frozen tundra. He maintained silence for now since he wasn't sure about the terrain. Having spent many years in nature he knew he needed to endure both harsh heat and harsh cold. But above all else he needed to learn tricks so that he doesn't get caught in either of them. For cold it was simple: look for tracks, keep your eye out for any kind of civilization, never go out in night and above all else never be asleep in the harsh cold. Warm air came out of his mouth as he had been bundled up in warmer clothes so he had some comfort in the knowledge he wasn't going to be freezing to death anytime soon. But for now he was going to have to find some kind of shelter. Even with his flame element in tow he would feel more at ease if he could be able to find a cave at the very least or if luck were on his side a town that might have a tavern where he could crash for the night.
Andrew continued to walk through the snow until he saw something in the distance. The shape seemed to be humanoid at a distance so he didn't know if it was a human or a hollow. But even as Andrew had been slowly getting chilled to the bone, the vizard continued to move through the snow, picking up pace to get a better look at whoever it was he had caught a glimpse of. He had his wits about him though, hoping that he doesn't pick up the reiatsu of a hollow that just happened to be completely white like the snow on the ground. In a place like this: a pure white hollow could easily make a killing here while buried in the snow. As he kept moving Andrew hoped he had been in shouting distance as he called out to the person. "Hey! You shouldn't be here! We should get to some kind of shelter!"
