[Shinigami] Siku Maboroshi [APPROVED, 3-2]
Fri Oct 19, 2012 9:09 am
Shinigami Template
Basic Information
- Name: Siku Maboroshi
- Titles: The Cold One
- Gender: Male
- Appearance Age: 21
- Age: 211
- Affiliation/Rank: 5th Division/ 3-2
- Theme: Parkway Drive - Deep Blue
- Appearance Description:
Siku has hair which is dark brown or black in color, and is fairly short in length, just beginning to reach the back of his neck in the rear, and bangs which come just short of his nose. His hair covers his right eye at times when he leans his head forward, or if he decides to have it styled that way instead of parting it up and away.
As for his body and athletic capabilities, Siku is moderately fit among the other Shinigami, his body fairly lean, muscles which only appear normally when flexing or under strain, or some means of training. His torso and it's muscular tone is minor, but his legs and arms are toned from holding his sword for so many years, and his breathing/cardio fitness is just as good. Siku has been beaten down, only to get back up, and that shows on his face.
There are a few scars on his chest and body, many revealing his past encounters with Hollow and enemies alike, however some small nicks and notches were caused by his Shinigami mentor. A pair of scars below his right peck made a crooked "x" shape, which were above his abdominal muscles slightly more on the right side of his body. They were all created by the kin of Hollow.
Siku measures in at around 6'0", and his weight is roughly 175. His stature makes him look rather weak and puny, but what he lacks in strength he makes up for in character and loyalty. Along with this his lean and agile frame allows for efficient maneuverability.

Personality
- Personality:
Siku is a very normal person when it comes to doing things that he needs to do, but he always has a lazy, laid-back attitude portraying that he doesn't like to be kept busy with work that he doesn't want to do. When it comes to being agitated, Siku can get pretty hot-headed, and may start raising his voice towards the ignorant or retarded people, and tell them openly that they are stupid and need to shut up if they are going to keep being stupid.
As for the matter of training, Siku enoys mostly any type of combat, though he excels in his Zanpakutō and Reiryokou-based fighting skills. His hand combat isn't that great, though he aspires to become a dominant melee fighter once he feels it's time. When he trains, it's normally for long periods of time, where he completes a large amount of training, and then goes on break for some time.
Siku doesn't like hollow all that much, he knows they are evil, he knows they eat souls, but he doesn't know why they exist. Yes, they exist because there are evil souls that die, but why DO these evil souls transform, and is there a way to completely stop hollow from existing? He wants to study this, and see what he can find, as he knows that arrancar, who are at one point hollow, don't have hunger, and he wants to see if there is a way to stop this hunger, without making them into arrancar. After all, why would you take an evil hollow and give them a zanpaktou and likely much more power? It wouldn't make sense to do such a thing in Siku's mind.
Socially, Siku manages to smile, be courteous, greet people kindly, and show a true, caring person; being him. He doesn't like to be rude, but if he is agitated, he is quite capable, just as many others are, and he isn't afraid to speak his mind, even to higher-ups, even Captains and Vice-Captains.
Siku holds an optimistic view on the entire world around him, and he allows many things to influence his judgment and opinion, after all, the more you know, the more you can ponder on, and the more you understand how everything clicks together.
Siku has felt the cold grip of sadness clench him by his throat as if telling him he were next. This feeling has caused Siku to want to grow stronger, knowing all too well the weaker he is, the more vulnerable and useless he was. Nana-chan and Okito, Siku will become stronger...for them.
Because of this sadness however, Siku has begun showing that he doesn't care too much about the others around him, and has gotten much more quiet as of lately. He can't tell fi it's because he is depressed, or if he is trying to prevent himself from getting too close to anyone, in fear he might lose them too.

Background History
- History:
Siku was born as a child in the year 2201, and lived for but a month as a newborn baby. The coldness of his birthplace, a rundown shack in the middle of nowhere, Japan, caused him to die on a late December night.
His life continued as a soul however, and he didn't acknowledge death yet, he was just a baby who was sleeping until his stopped stopped from the cold, hypothermia. Sitting outside his shack, a black-robed man touched his forehead with something, and a light protruded, blinding Siku. In the matter of seconds he was somewhere else. Looking around, many people wandered the streets, looking at the newborn baby as if they pitied him. Getting up and crawling around, an old lady picked him up and took him to her home.
For the first time, this embrace was warm, and enticing, Siku felt comfortable, and he wasn't sure how or why, but he liked it anyways. Years passed, and Siku grew older, now reaching an age of 10 years old, in the year 2211. The lady, whose name was Nana, was aging faster than Siku and grew weaker as he did stronger.
After another 90 years with this old lady, Siku learned the ways of life. He was taught to respect his elders, and his superiors. Here was a dangerous place for a young person like Siku, but Nana made sure he was safe. She fed him and made sure he got plenty of rest, just before he turned 100 years old. The day before his 100th birthday, Siku looked youthful as ever, but Nana looked decrepit and around the age of a 100 year old human. She watched with her sagging eyelids and wrinkled face as Siku went to sleep, hoping to awake the next day to another one of his greatest birthday's.
In the year 2301, on this 100th birthday for Siku, it was tragedy. getting up to see an empty house, Siku chased up the stairs to Nana's room. Looking, he saw her laying their, seemingly lifeless. He walked up to her and tried waking her, shaking her arms and screaming, crying even, as he came to the reality that she was dead. Soon after another man in a black robe came to the house through Nana's window, telling Siku he was there to report her death and to prepare her for burial. Siku grabbed hold of Nana, screaming to the man that she was fine, she was okay, holding on to the only hope he thought he had left. The man swept Siku aside with a slight push, telling the young boy happy birthday.
Immediately Siku stopped crying, wiping tears from his eyes. He looked at the man who smirked at him, wondering how he knew. At that moment a vision popped into his mind, the light he saw just before meeting Nana, and the previous man in black robes. The similarities were there, and Siku felt ashamed. Looking at the man, Siku awaited an answer.
" I know who you are, Siku, and I know who she is. Nana was my mother. Just as she did for you, she did for me. I grew up to be a Shinigami, my lifelong dream, because of her. She knew what it took to do the right thing, and you are the last of those right things. You are a part of her lineage, as much so as mine. Now if you'll excuse me birthday boy, I need to get her to the burial grounds. Don't be too upset though, she lived a long, grateful life. I'll be back later, until then don't get into trouble. Also, keep in mind what she would feel like if she saw you with tears spewing from your eyes like that. She wanted you to be happy, and by making you happy, she was happy. "
With that the tall black-haired man took hold of Nana and made a vanishing act, a swoosh of air filling the room as Nana and the Shinigami left to the burial grounds. What he said to Siku was supposed to be comforting, but with bad news such as this he didn't know how to react. Going to his room and sitting in the corner with his chair, he stared at the blank wall, catching the picture of Nana on his dresser. She was smiling, just like the day before in this picture, before telling Siku good night. He looked down at the ground, wondering what would happen next. Everything that happened so far wasn't his choice, and he wasn't ready to make the decisions for himself. The sun had began to set, Siku's eyes watched, catching the final glimpse of the sun before it left for the night.
Siku heard the same swoosh in Nana's room up the stairs, making his way up hoping to see the man. His black robes seemed to make him seem like a darker person, but his gestures made him seem like an older brother, as he sat down on Nana's bed and called Siku to sit. He seemed to have something urgent on his mind, something important for Siku.
" Siku, have you given any thought of what you want to do here? I don't know about you, but I think you might make a great Shinigami Academy student. How about it? I will train you myself! "
Siku looked at him with awe, he had no real idea what a Shinigami was, but the name seemed deep, with meaning and a sort of honor to the name. Nana had told him about the Shinigami and their role as a military and government, but he never expected to meet one of them, and surely not become one. But the moment seemed right, and nothing else seemed to be a better option. After all if he didn't do this, it would likely result in Siku working a consumer stand on the market streets, which were ever vulnerable to the thieves. Siku smiled, accepting the offer with full intent of achieving it. His mind was racing however, wondering what kind of work that would take, as he noticed a katana on the Shinigami's right side.
" Yes sir, I want to become a Shinigami! But how will I do that? "
" Alright Siku, I will make you into a fine Shinigami. First though, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Okito Miuhara. I have been a member of the Gotei 13 for some time now, going on 90 something years. Anyhow, I have done many tasks for the 1st Division, and I would call myself a respectable Shinigami. With that being said, Siku, do you understand what I am asking you? This isn't going to be easy work. Well, it's not work really, training more like it. Lots of training, practice, becoming strong. Do you think you can do that, Siku? "
Siku nodded, beginning what he didn't expect to be a inspiring and ruthless journey to becoming a Shinigami himself.
Growing up to 200 years old, in the year 2401, Siku had completed exactly 100 years of training with Okito Miuhara, his ruthless trainer, and humble mentor. The first 50 years of his life was simply running, for how long exactly? Miles, and miles, AND miles. No tread on the mountain was left untouched by Siku's feet as he raced around, with Okito supervising. After reaching the cardio necessary to begin much more strenuous training, Okito began making Siku run with rocks in his hands, eventually leading to one large boulder he had to carry on his back up the mountain. Whether it was climbing, crawling, or walking, Siku made sure to do as Okito said. He believed Okito, as he seemed to be the only good thing in his life at this point.
Once done with this section of the training, Okito brought bokken to Siku, and they practiced day in and day out when Okito had free time, while Siku would run when he attended his Gotei 13 duties. At first, Siku lost and was beaten on by Okito enough to ensure Siku wouldn't keep letting himself get beat up. After the first year, Siku had begun to parry Okito, learning his sword gestures and adjusting to his reaction time and agility. The next year Siku improved tenfold, eventually beginning to disarm Okito from his bokken and pursue a surrender. Okito knew now that Siku was growing to a new level, and brought him a real katana, with a rather blunt edge, and his own sharpening kit.
He taught Siku how to sharpen the sword, but told him not to do so until Okito told him to. With their katana, Siku sparred Okito for the remainder of the next 50 years. It took 5 years, but soon after Siku had sharpened his katana, and his training was near it's completion. The last part was hard Okito said, and Siku wanted to know what could be harder than this, and so he would learn.
For the remainder of training, Okito went over what a soul is in Seireitei, what a Hollow is, and the Shinigami's role against the Hollow, the role of " The Balancer's". He explained the powers a Shinigami can possess, and their own weapons such as a Zanpakutō. Siku was awed with this information, seeming rather like a dream come true. Super powers, good versus evil, he could get used to this, right?
Reaching the year 2401, Siku was forced into the Shinigami Academy. Here he would stay for 6 years, becoming a fairly popular student. His brain seemed to nourish here further than before, and his skills with his own Reiatsu seemed to be awakened by his own interests of it. His mind was exploring everything, and understanding it for once, not like when he was little. It all seemed right.
Becoming adept in all arts of the Shinigami and their arsenal, Siku was simply good with the logistics of combat. His powers compared to others weren't exactly the best, but he seemed to make due just fine. Breezing his way through the academy, staying for 6 years of his choice, Siku joined the 5th Division in the year of 2407. He has yet to be seated, but is glad to be in the Shinigami ranks.
However, since then, Okito himself has gone missing, and Siku hasn't been told as to why. He knows Nana-chan and Okito would want him to stay here and be happy, so he does just that while enjoy every moment with the other Shinigami around him. However, Siku can't help but feel like everything or everyone he cares for keeps leaving him, one way or another.

Shinigami Capabilities
- Reiatsu Color: Azure
- Zanpakutô Spirit Name: Shukkō Shutsugen
- Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance: x
- Inner World: A dark dojo, seeming to be night time. This dojo is colored with black wood for the frame of the structure, and white paper to seal away the view of the inside from outside. There is back room with a sliding door that enters into a garden of ice-covered statues and garden flowers that are frozen in a layer of ice. The garden is exceptionally cold, and Siku prefers to stay in the dojo.
- Sealed Zanpakutô Apperance : x
- Sealed Zanpakutô Abilities:
name: Rei Renraku [Ghost Touch]
Length of use: Passive
range: Melee
description: When Siku lands a hit on an opponent with his sealed Zanpakutō, the general area of where it was hit is deprived of all the energy used to heat the flesh and blood, the zanpaktou of Siku's drawing out all the energy being used to heat the specific/limb area, and inserting it's passive Reiatsu to be used as energy to "heat" the body, though it's such a low temperature and gets colder if he strikes the same place more than once. This can only be healed in a variety of ways, as it has technically hit a temperature where it is already dead flesh. For greater effects on the area hit, another strike must be made on the same area to add up the strike counters. This is similar to how people say they feel cold when a ghost is very close to them, they say they feel the heat leaving their body. Here is a chart:
1 Strike: Light blue skin coloring, lightly frozen. Can crack if hit directly/indirectly
2 Strikes: Medium blue skin coloring, frozen. Can crack and lightly crumble off if hit directly/indirectly
3 strikes: Dark blue skin coloring, completely frozen. Can crack/shatter and crumble away if hit directly/indirectly.
4 strikes: Black/Darkest Blue skin coloring, completely frozen off/dead. Can easily crumble away, turn into dust or small particles, from simple/weak movements ad direct/indirect hits. This is now dead flesh.
Notice: For each rank higher, add 1 strike on for similar results. For each lower rank, the amount of strikes needed is lowered by 1. Anyone 2 ranks or higher than Siku is not effected by this.- Release:

Roleplay Sample
- Roleplay Sample:
Siku had been making his way to the 3rd Division barracks as he heard footsteps racing across the rooftops beside him in the market district. Behind him a hurried series of screaming was heard, and Siku could only help but hear what he was saying, his instincts already kicking in, jumping up and to his left to the rooftops.
" STOP! That guy just stole my whole savings! Someone get him! "
The sound of his Shunpo echoed behind the perpetrator as he turned, wondering what the noise was. Behind him, the Shinigami looked intent on getting back the money, as his hands began drawing out his sword.
" Look, i'm sorry, here take it! It won't happen again, I promise! "
The man threw the money back at Siku, who let go of his Zanpakutō to grab the money. Distracted, the man got away from Siku, and raced away after jumping down to a dark alleyway. Siku decided to spare him, in hopes that he would keep his word. Siku flashed to the victim's position, handing out the money.
" Here you go sir, sorry for the inconvenience. Have a nice day. "
Before the man could say anything, Siku was gone in his third flash. Spectators had to wonder who was to thank, as some people didn't like Shinigami, mostly because many were cocky and arrogant, and in a similar situation would've asked for some of the money. Siku however wasn't like that, and enjoyed to lend a helping hand if he is there when needed. However, heading towards his barracks, Siku had to clear his mind, and go to the small meeting between several members of the division. It was some sort of formal party with sake, oriental cuisine, and even rice cakes. These nice days were exactly what Siku lived for inside the walls of Seireitei.
