~A Queen's Vacation~
Sun Oct 14, 2012 3:08 am
Although trips in this current era for the goddess of wind were few and far between, Misaiko nevertheless enjoyed visiting this place known as Karakura town on numerous occasions. Traveling to foreign worlds possessed an unexplainable magic that this queen could never quite solve. An enigmatic joy to traverse each part of the planet and experience different cultures, the experience was nothing short of mystical. Whether indulging one’s self in heretofore unknown meals or learning of another countries customs, visitations in new places had always held so strong a spell that Misaiko would find herself planning vacations to various parts of this vast world known as earth. As usual, the sun smiled with vibrant, radiant rays of sunlight that graced the pale white skin of this majestic maiden as she walked with slow, plodding gait towards one of the local tea shops that amassed a popular reputation for their extensive inventory of tea and desert.
One of the waiter’s, who upon glancing at Misaiko from inside the shop, instantly recognized her as one of their most frequented customers. Anyone who truly and most personally, knew this woman were no strangers to her infatuation for tea. While iced tea was more appropriate for sunny days, Misaiko always enjoyed consuming tea that could soothe her soul and relinquish all extraneous stress from the mind. Wasting no time in opening the door for their official “Favorite customer of the decade”, the man greeted Misaiko with a kind smile. “Greetings milady, what has spurred on your appearance on such a fine day?” Knowing the reason, yet playfully exchanging his greetings, the man already knew the answer to his unnecessary question.
Her smile, so pure and welcoming, was always refreshing to gaze upon, especially after a hard day of work through the hustle and bustle of the workplace. Misaiko bowed solemnly before saying, “Though it requires nary a sliver of verbose compliments, your heralded favorite consumer has come to enjoy her usual combination of tea and desert. “ The waiter nodded assent before bowing, and then placing the order inside the Kitchen. Her order was rather simple for someone of her status. Strawberry shortcake and black tea, a simple yet delicious fusion. Removing her sunhat embroidered with flowers, Misaiko inhaled deeply, taking in the pleasant smell of aroma’s emanating from the kitchen’s quarters. Just a simple whiff made her most eager to taste once more her favored pair of desert and beverage. Within approximately thirty minutes, a waitress arrived with her order and said, “Here you go, lady Misaiko. Please enjoy this meal and drink that we poured our hearts out into to create for you. “
"You’re efforts are well appreciated, young one. Since I’m in a generous mood, allow me to bless you with a rather sizeable tip. “ From the wallet placed inside the pocket of her white sun dress, Misaiko handed the girl four thousand yen. The young woman’s eyes lit up in an instant. “Uwah…!? You really mean this is all for me? Lady Misaiko, you’re too kind!” Misaiko smiled and wrapped her hand around the waitress’s surprisingly unsteady ones, perhaps a result of shock from being given so much for such a small order. “Consider it payment for your wonderful services, Kiyomi. Do treat yourself nicely when you return home, alright?” The waitress nodded affirmatively as she returned to the kitchen with an exuberant smile plastered all over her face.
With a deep sigh of satisfaction, the elegant goddess wrapped her slender fingers around the handle of the ornate tea cup, sipping her tea with a refined grace. As expected, the taste was exquisite, prepared with proper ingredients and boiled to the exact temperature she desired. Smiling contentedly, she set the decorative cup on the table, now attending to the strawberry shortcake which looked well-prepared and very delectable. With a silver knife and fork, she cut a small proportion, enough for it to be considered a mouth-full. She brought the fork up to her lips and consumed her share of the cake, joy smiling from her face as she nodded with approval. “As always, superb. They never fail to satisfy my pallet.” Misaiko continued to consume the cake, allowing her eyes to travel towards the window, where she could experience in full, the scenery of Downtown Karakura. As she ate her meal, Misaiko idly wondered how she would spend her day....

{Kunihiko Izumi} ________________ TSUBINE VON ZARKONHEINZ |
A suit and tie. Inconspicuous. Nothing about him stood out. Nothing except his dashing looks. Handsome, model-like, built like a god. Those were all terms whispered by passerbies. However, the man so esquisitely dressed simply focused on the map he had in his right hand. While no weapon was visible, this man was still very dangerous. Yes, this sole man was someone feared where he came from. He was a knight through-and-through, even though his current attire gave no one thoughts of an outdated concept like that. The directions were written in almost too intricate lettering. The majority of it was written in English, as this man knew it better than Japanese, which was ironic considering he was in the heart of the Land of the Rising Sun. In his left hand, kept down at his side, was a briefcase. Solid steel, glistening in the sunlight. It had both a key lock and a combination, and the contents were "fire-coated" meaning that if it was broken into, the briefcase would ignite. But back to the map. He sighed. It was confusing enough with some of the street signs being only in Japanese with only minor character differences. And then this handwriting was like trying to translate Arabic Pig-Latin. And so... he had to give in. |
"Oi', oi''" |
He flagged a shop vender down. Why this one? His sign was written in English on top, followed by Japanese below. This meant he could speak the language... hopefully |
"Do you by chance know where this shoppe is?" |
He pointed to a name written entirely in Kanji, and the man nodded. The shop keeper pointed down the street, then pointed left. It'd be better if the person who had written down the directions had instead drawn arrows. The man in the suit and tie thanked the shopkeeper. He continued on his brisk stroll through the city. Cars zoomed past. People paid no attention to him, and he returned the favor. He was busy. They were busy. No need to bother either one. He reached a sign that somewhat matched one of the directions written down. Or rather, the directions somewhat matched the sign. She just has to use a caligraphy brush for everything. He thought, mentally scolding the woman whom had written these directions. His pace did not increase as he slowly saw the shoppe ahead. He waited on the one intersection blocking his way to clear. While the person whom he was meeting rarely visited, this man had last been to Earth nearly four centuries ago. Some things hadn't changed, which was good for someone like him. Why? Because it may not seem it with his slight smirk, this guy was far too easy to anger. He made it through the door in a crowd of people. The host looked at him with a strange look. This man stood out like a sore thumb in this environment. This wasn't near the business district, so it was very strange to see anyone with a suit, let alone a briefcase and tie as well. The waiter was still excited from his last customer's arrival. And so, he greeted this new customer with a smile. Before he could verbally greet this new man, the new man walked right past him. He walked straight to the back, where his "client" was. While she was distracted, he sat down across from her, setting his briefcase down beside his chair. Before she noticed someone had sat down, he spoke. |
"You know, your directions could be a bit neater." |
His joking was truly not a joke, but rather prodding at her overly-ornate style... and the fact that he could barely read her directions. |

"Tch." The sun beat down hard on him, warming the long hair on his head and causing the flesh on his neck to heat up, rather annoyingly, at least in his opinion. As his feet slapped against the ground below, he started to ponder the world that he now found himself in--Karakura City, a place that seemed to be the most spiritually prosperous in the world. The place that sourced the Winter War, and the place that gave people the most hope: The home of Kurosaki Ichigo. Sighing quietly to himself as he placed his hands into the pockets of his own suit that covered his body, he started to raise his head up and scan the area around with his deep red eyes. "Why am I here again...?" Musing calmly to himself, the Wall of Platinum gave thoughts to his reasoning. It had been five or so months since he'd last walked the streets of Karakura City, back when he'd been on the run, back when he was nothing but a fugitive... and then Chaos Island had come, where he'd been taken back to the Sugiura Kingdom, and then everything else had occurred, and it had just been a wild ride ever since then. Having never really had much time to ponder the surrealism that this sequence of events brought out within his troubled mind, Daigoro Ito was now spending more time thinking about this strangeness than ever before. "Up until then, my life had been foolish, a lie, everything that I hated about myself I had put into my life." He laughed dryly and sardonically, shaking his head with the noise. "And now, what am I? A fighter for something I truly believe in--was I not that before, or was that a different story altogether?" Raising a hand up to tap his chin softly, the male closed his eyes and smirked. His own monologue was getting him nowhere, so he decided that it would be more worth it to search for a place to at least rest. The sun was bothering him no end. He could hear them whispering about his looks. 'What the hell is he thinking, having such audacious hair?' 'What, is he some sort of woman?' 'Such a pretty girl! Pity about her boyish clothing, though.' That last one just hurt. Muttering to himself about idiots and their preconceptions, the suited-up man just shook his head and ducked quickly into a cafe without any thought as to what the cafe that he'd walked into was. Despite the fact that there was specifically one person that he knew in that building: she was sitting across from another man who seemed to be suited and familiar, yet different all the same. He decided to ignore the pair for this matter, and instead took his seat at a different table, closing his eyes and sighing as he was approached. "Just... black tea and a slice of whatever cake you feel is best." The man nodded slightly, taking the few notes that Dai had proffered and wandering off with a smirk. Letting his eyes glaze over a little, Dai placed a finger on the table and waited for his food, all the while ignoring the stupid twinge of familiarity in the back of his mind, and the images of events that lead to his death that flashed before his eyes... |
