» Personality: Yakume is not necessarily a good person. She has a good smile and a good disposition, but she likes to make people go through rough things. Needless to say, she likes to help others build character. As such, she might look like an antagonist, or a good friend : but in general, Yakume is a wise person. She has learned a lot, having lived a pretty long life, and done a lot of things. The girl had always been the type of person to do what she wants. She never seems uncomfortable with her body, and is often amused when others show embarassement. Yakume learned quickly that in life, embarassment only made one go slower at the things they were good at. In essence, she likes to give advice and put people through hell to make them stronger. Apt at manipulating, she doesn't seem to have many problems with vices or virtues : she doesn't necessarily consider good and evil, but more along the lines of restraint and understanding. If someone abuses power, then she is more inclined to stop them. Since in a way, Yakume is curious and loves to learn, attempting to explore the mind of each person she meets. Not necessarily a combatitive person, she likes to study and experiement so much more, even though she has quite a warrior's training from her previous life. She doesn't seem to hestitate if she has to fight, but prefers to find ulterior solutions and methods. In all, Yakume is a good oriented person, but sometimes her things do have ulterior motives.. and often, people don't catch that.

» Background: Yakume is the eldest daughter born and the first birth to Shubi and Shuushi Saihossoku. She was their first child, and they treasured, albeit she had luckily avoided wedlock. The girl was raised relatively peaceful, as she aimed to learn a lot during her formative years. When she was around two years old, her sister Han'i was born : and Yakume decided she would become the best elder sister she could be. And that held true for all of her sibblings : so when Han'i, at the age of six wanted to learn how to fight, Yakume joined forces with her, and their parents relented eventually. It started a family tradition, and Yakume was sad she had missed a few years. But it didn't matter : she was an intellectual girl and quickly found her place into the family.

Her younger sisters seemed often attached to her, and they mostly came to her for advice. Mikomi even lived with her, as Yakume had worked at a shrine : and when the sole owner passed, he had given it to her. It was almost strange, but she enjoyed the work, and the gentle tranquility : it also allowed her to dabble into energies as well, finding more and more new things. So on that night, her life was extinguished : she wasn't necessarily happy with it, but she quickly got herself to soul society. She raised through their ranks quickly, and found herself assigned a simple mission : a hollow was in the forest near her old home, and she had to stop it before it started to eat people. Yakume went towards it, but found instead, a familiar presence.

It was her sister, Jikogisei. Fighting her, she had been hurt hard, but Yakume suddenly saw her sister rip off her own mask, surprising her. After an apology, she ran, and Yakume could only stare longingly. Something else was happening to her, but she was unsure : she hadn't even found her Zanpakto name, but she was sent to the 4th squad to heal and recover. Karakura was a giant city : so Yakume, even after four years, hadn't seen hide or tail of her sibblings.. and it worried her, as she searches for them each night, even though there's still a lingering pain in where Yakume's wounds had been.
