Returning Home: Hanako's Brave Crossing Over the Rubicon.
Wed Sep 26, 2012 10:02 pm
Hanako Shikijou Junior Now, Hanako sits on the couch in the living room of her apartment, watching the children play and watch cartoons while she rests in her gray sweatpants and white tank top. She turns her right hand over and sees the emblem of the Fairy Tail Guild embedded on top of her hand, as red as her eyes in the darkest light. She joined the guild as Gildart invited her with the promise of helping her with her training and for if she is in trouble. Perhaps they will help her for this. The kids will need to know where their mother came from and why she works as a bartender eventually. Plus, if it survives, there is only one place that Hanako knows that she can use to aid in her training; "The Treasure Hall." Perhaps if lucky, the guild will allow her to bring her children into the hall. Though it is unlikely since they sought to move on from the past while Hanako believes she is stuck in the past as a mother of five. Hanako concludes one notion; she has to go to Osaka and find her past to become her future. Barefooted, Hanako gets off of the couch and onto the cold wooden flooring of the living room as she begins packing. The first place she will start packing in was her bedroom, where Hanako and Koichi slept together with passion that brought her five children into the world. She begins pulling out luggage after luggage and placing them on her vacant bed. She begins with her clothes in her dresser, and then clothes in her closet. Later on, she begin stashing makeup kits and trinkets into safety containers before putting them into one of the luggage. She stops at her night table as she sees a portrait of her and Koichi together. She remembers it during her stay at the Iramasha Island. Back then, Hanako was alive and was a bit of a troublemaker. At times, she gets herself in a fix and Koichi ends up saving her from the danger. However, now, she is in a danger that is not threatening her life, it threatens her morale and faith. She has five kids to take care and five enemies to worry about while on top, she is alone as an adult; alone with the five kids. Is it all hard to ask for Koichi to be by her side once more and ease her troubled mind for just this week? With trouble blooming all over the world, Hanako will be forced to say, "Yes." To Hanako, she is beginning believe that they are meant to part. A tear stream trickles down from her left and right eye before streaming down her cheeks and along her jawline to her chin. So much that she has to bear and her shell is cracking as it is all too much for her human being to contain. With a sniff, she hiccups as her heart skips through the phantasmal agony. She lay onto her side on the bed, her head nestled into the soft pillow as Hanako embraces the picture close to her. It's not fair! Having gone so far and then it is all dashed away as I was left with a great burden that I cannot lean on a shoulder for! Hanako mentally cries out as she dearly misses her beloved Koichi through the long absences. She spends twenty minutes to grieve and lament. And then she rises, wipe her tears and stashes the pictures into the luggage's safety containers. With the room packed, she carries the remaining luggage to the children room, where she stashes her children's toys; InuYasha's Legos, Alice's Teddy Bear, Ren's plush tiger. All that are their favorites are stashed specially in their respective containers as well as the books, clothes and videos. Hanako believes it will be a long time before they can come back to Karakura Central. After packing the children's things, she places the luggage with her luggage in the bedroom. With all else packed, Hanako walks down to the pub and start preparing the closing. That means the alcohol will be sent to a special stasis storage to keep them fresh, security at high, thus only Kabuto and Koichi can enter since they both have the key. If the security is breached, Shadin will notice and will be warranted to arrest and search suspects in a blink of an eye. Finally, the door will be protected by a static field that is strong enough to put a very strong person into a stasis until Shadin comes to pick them up. Hanako heads back upstairs and lock the door behind her as she enters. For a moment, Hanako contemplates the consequence of going back to Osaka while looking at her five children. If she leaves Karakura Central, even Zane and Yako will not have a problem finding her without being kept out by Karakura's dome. Even Shadin and the TCCU will not protect her once she leaves Karakura Central. So in short, Hanako and her five children will be in a bigger risk in Osaka than in Karakura Central. Maybe if her father, Naoki knows about it along with Fairy Tail, they can watch over her and help her when she is in trouble. Despite the dangers she may put on herself and her children, she has to trust Fairy Tail and her father for aid when it comes to trouble that she cannot handle. She walks to her bedroom and points the emblem towards the empty wall before shouting, "Fairy Tail Guild! Open!" Just like that, a double door appears before her and opens inward to reveal the guild hall. She then enters, hoping there will be someone who can help her with her things. While transportation is good and all, but going through the guild hall will be a lot quicker and less costly. A perk of being a guild member of the Fairy Tail Guild. |

"This might be the last chance, so... Listen to our story, alright?"
"This might be the last chance, so... Listen to our story, alright?"
There was a world that not many knew of. Even in the Sugiura Dimension, where this 'world' had originated, only a selected few had ever met people from this 'world' - the world of guilds. Unions of people with strong and eternal bonds, coming together under a single goal - groups where race and origin did not matter, where one was expected to leave old grudges behind and to start anew with an adopted family of varying ages, sizes and personalities.
And that world was the one Hanako was now entering. Gildarts was a strange and strong man - he saw which people had it in them to become a member of this guild, called Fairy Tail - those who had nowhere else to turn, those looking for a clean start, those looking for eternal fellows, they all were welcome in this hall. Behind the golden light that streamed out of the door, warm air awaited - mixed with the smell of tasty meals and alcoholic beverages, the weak as well as the strong ones.
Under the big lights on the ceiling, there they were - countless rows of tables and things to sit on, or so it seemed, and as one would expect - it was quite lively in here! With one view, it was possible to see demons playing cards with Iramasha in a corner, while a group of half-grownup Sugiura were trying their luck with magic tricks right besides that, searing their own eyebrows off. Behind that, people eating, other people drinking, but all in all, they were all one thing...
Happy. And at the bar, right across this entire meeting, dining and fighting hall, there was a bar - a bar occupied by a few hard drinking and harder laughing 'mages', joking about the last request they completed together. One of them almost fell off of his bar stool - if not for a blue-haired man catching him from behind with a pat on the back and smile.
"Haha! Thanks Master!"
Just a few words that sounded over the general atmosphere of the room, then silence again...
And the man with blue hair, white mage clothing and an odd, sad smile turned around towards the door. For one eternal seeming second, he looked into the eyes of the new arrival - he seemed almost as out of place as the door leading right into a bedroom did. The air around him seemed eerily melancholic, and if the words of the man he had just saved from a meeting with the ground had not been enough, the nods and warm eyes on him whenever they noticed him were a clear sign...
This man was Gerard Fernandez, the Guild Master of Fairy Tail. Or rather, the acting Guild Master, as he would quickly correct anyone.
With safe steps - even evading two brawling members of his guild by side-stepping without looking - he came towards Hanako, extending out his right hand when he stood infront of her.
"Welcome to the Guild Hall. You must be one of the members Gildarts recruited recently." Was the warm greeting. His eyes went past her for a moment, noticing the luggage, causing him to turn his head around for a short second.
"Ralph, Karma! Give the lady a hand with her luggage, alright?"
Before turning back towards her.
"My name is Gerard Fernandez. May I ask you for your name?"

Hanako Shikijou Junior Looking around the place, the guild hall was quite rowdy and alive. Upon seeing a few guildmates entering her bedroom to carry in her luggage, Hanako quickly darts for an explanation, "I was planning on going to Osaka. Something tells me that if I visit the past, I'll know how to acquire what he robbed from me. And...I cannot rely on public transport to transport me and my quints to Osaka." Hanako hopes that Gerard will not raise a stir about Hanako bringing children to his guild hall for just a while. If all went in reversed, then Gerard would allow her kids to stay as along they stay out of trouble. Probably in the future, Hanako can enroll herself as the guild's bartender. For now, her purpose was to go to Osaka, find the Treasure Hall and find a way to fight against a juggernaut like Mr. Caveman. "I'll be right back, have to check on the kids and get them ready. You can come if you feel like trying out for a father role." Hanako notifies Gerard before providing a bit of jest. Certainly the guild master will not soil his hand with babies when their mother is around to take care of them. However, if he does, it can be a help to Hanako. Being a virtual single mother (she is still faithful to her long absent boyfriend,) is never an easy job, but if Hanako only had one or two, she would be a super-mom at this point. Hanako walks back to her bedroom and into the living room where the children are napping. The cuties must have tuckered themselves out with playing. If Gerard followed, she will gesture him to sneak and wait for her to come back after bringing the stroller to the guild hall. Carefully, Hanako creeps to the children room and collects a special stroller that is capable of carrying five babies at once and carries it to her bedroom. She tells the guildmates to be quiet. She then carefully places the stroller onto the bedroom floor and erect it before positioning it so she can place them into the pouches. She then returns to the living room. If Gerard did follow earlier, she uses hand gestures to instruct Gerard to carefully carry the children to the stroller and slip them into their named pouches. The name tag on their PJ's will give Gerard a big clue as to which pouch belongs to which baby. If alone, it will take Hanako quite a while to get them all into their pouches without waking them. If Gerard can pick up the clue, he would know how to make the guild hall quiet before they could wake the kids. To them it is only for a while that they have to be quiet as Hanako plans to quickly transfer to Osaka and drop the kids off with her servants at the Osaka Mansion. Then they can be rowdy again. It may be awkward for the guild that they have to deal with a passing mother with five sleeping children, but they have to deal with it as Hanako waits for the guild hall to become quiet before she rolls the kids into the hall. With the luggage and kids in the hall, Gerard can close the door and Hanako can reopen it to Osaka Mansion. Luckily the kids are like their mother in sleeping, no subtle or low volume sound could wake them. Hanako steps towards the door and aims her insignia at it. "Osaka Mansion at Osaka, Japan. Open." Hanako invokes before the door reopens to reveal the front entrance of the Osaka Mansion, the only mansion of Japan that was designed by French architects and craftsmen. The front entrance was raised with two stairways that curves from lower center to upper center, where the rich mahogany doors greet anyone with its golden borders and lion-headed knockers. The building itself could have shown how close to royalty that Hanako is if there is any monarchy as the entire building was designed and decorated with refined arts and practicality; overall, the building would fit a king without needing a castle at this point. Hanako pushes the stroller through the doorway and appears before the mansion itself, the national memorial of the Osaka Massacre. After a while, two maids walk out of the door and in their long french maid outfits, approach Hanako and the stroller with hushed elation that someone dear to them have returned. |

[Gerard Fernandez]
Hanako Shikijou Junior... at times, Gerard was almost worried about that talent of Gildarts to find exactly the kind of people that needed Fairy Tail by their side so easily. The stellar mage wished he could say the same for himself, but thanks to his 'situation', he was rarely able to even leave the Guild Hall without endangering his own life right on the spot... So he only did that whenever one of his own needed his help, since everyone in Fairy Tail was his family. Wether Hanako realized it by now or not - this man, who looked to be her age, but was so much older, was already seeing her not unlike one would see a daughter.
A new daughter that would need protection from terrorists, as it seemed, and Gerard wasn't the only one to hear the words - Fairy Tail members were not called 'Mages' for nothing. While quite a few of them didn't use 'magic' in the literal sense, most of them were superhuman enough to enhance their hearing, and as troublemakers and family, they always listened in on EVERYTHING - one could almost see the ears growing all across the guild hall.
Still, the magician listened without interrupting his newest guild member. A passage to Osaka? That was easy for the guild hall, almost too easy a task for it. But nonetheless, it would open the portal in time, that much was for sure.
"I'd probably qualify for great-great-great-great-grandfather instead." A small joking remark, and Gerard stepped out of the Guild Hall - through the door, right into the human world and Hanako's bedroom. The Yuudeshi Network could probably not even notice this portal - and even if they could, they'd be gone in seconds anyway, before the Sugiura Kingdom could possibly hear of his appearance on this plane. Of course, the Guild Master knew that all of his members were staring at his back right now, while the two he had tasked with the luggage grabbed the mentioned objects to transport them away into the hall of wonders.
In this 'real' world now, Gerard followed his newest member - and raised one eyebrow upon seeing the children. Five of them? Well, someone had been busy for sure... Where was the father, though? Dead, missing, or simply up and left? He'd have to ask Hanako sooner rather than later, in order to assess his course of action accordingly. A prodigy of magic still couldn't read the thoughts of other intelligent beings freely. One thing he could do - and did right away - is making himself visible on the material spectrum. As a Magus Sugiura, he was a soul being at the core, and thus would probably turn invisible for either the children or the mother.
Said children still had to take on their places for the journey, and that was something he could help with - a few words, in a language that nobody but Gerard spoke, and he stretched out his right hand. With the light of countless, sparkling stars, space itself became realized from his mind - a simple 'levitation' spell, that had no chance of accidentally waking the children up, for a simple reason. Levitation was usually the act of 'lifting' something with energy, but this spell simply created negative gravity, causing a floating effect - before carefully guiding three of the four children into their correct spaces at once, Gerard's hands moving softly and with a grace that was utterly inhuman, as his mind soothed the energy of space into something peaceful and helping. With this help, a task that would normally take quite a bit of time was accomplished incredibly fast. The wizard wouldn't call himself 'good with children', but he was 'good with being silent', and that seemed enough for this moment.
"You could've asked for help earlier, Hanako. We don't turn away our own." He said, his voice lowered, as they finished putting the children into position. His smile was friendly, and although he looked no older than Hanako on first glance, he certainly seemed more like a father-figure in that moment.
As they returned to the Guild Hall, Gerard helped out Hanako's request for silence by raising his own right palm, the sign for the guild to shut up for just a moment, and one that was usually listened to. But when Hanako opened the portal again right away, to depart towards Osaka... Gerard reached out his right hand, to grab her shoulder softly.
"Wait a moment, Hanako." Just a simple request, one that she would hopefully follow, if Gildarts had been right about her. "You're haunted by the past. We can all see that... and we can all relate to that. I am no different myself. But remember... You're not alone in this. And you don't need to return... Or at least, not alone."
"He's right!" "Don't forget about us, got it?" "We've got your back, freshling!" Voices from the hall, as the members stood up - now, the size of the Guild Hall seemed deceptive, as there were, at most, 30 or 40 people here, not hundreds or even that many. A small, family-like group, that was Fairy Tail. And now, they all looked upon Hanako.
"If you need a save place to stay, then stay here. We have living quarters in some distance to this main hall, and this wouldn't be the first time for an entire family to move in." Showing his own, blue crest on the left hand towards her, the magician and all of his Guild Mates spoke out the infamous quote...
"We're Fairy Tail!"

Hanako Shikijou Junior "Let us go. We will have to find information about the Shikijou's Treasure Hall. First, I have to visit my mother's grave." Hanako speaks to Gerard. From there, she walks to Osaka, trusting the guild mates with the child care. "Oh yeah. I labeled the luggage, so if something happens with the kids, look for, 'Child Care.' Got it?" Hanako speaks to the guild mates. She leaves the guild hall with at least one guild mate willing to follow her as she quest for the Shikijou's Treasure Hall, the very vault that holds her inheritance that was believed to be locked away for until Hanako comes to claim it. Any more than that will be rumors and legends speculating from how powerful the Shikijou Family once was until Mr. Caveman slaughtered most of them, leaving Hanako to be the last surviving member of the Shikijou Family. In local history, Uryu Ishida was known as the Last of the Quincy before he did something to revive the Quincy from the brink of extinction back in the early second millennium. Hanako questions Uryu's existance because it was four hundred years ago, no way a human could have lived that long and yet, here he was recorded to be, a Karakura High School Teacher. Note that Hanako was quite resourceful so for her to learn of Uryu Ishida was something she does with anyone she comes across in Karakura Central; especially Orihime Inoue, a former resident now serving the Gotei 13 as an Honorary Member. Back to the point, Hanako can relate to how it is like to be the last of the family, but never to be the last of her kind. For now, her intention starts with visiting her mother's grave, and then go to the mansion to gather clues. For all Hanako is aware of, there is a feeling that it is no cakewalk. Upon arriving to Osaka, she looks around and two maids approach in their long french maid Lolita. "Lady Shikijou! Welcome home! Sorry to surprise you." The first maid speaks out and bows politely. Hanako looks at the maids and pose herself straight, yet elegant. "How is the Mansion holding up?" Hanako speaks to the maid. "She is holding up after the repairs are complete. We're sorry to tell you so late; this morning, we noticed that the memorial site now have crucifixes erected." The maid replies. From that moment, Hanako is now puzzled and surprised.. "Christian crosses? In the memorial site? Father told me there are none of them!" Hanako thinks to herself. "And none of you went to investigate?" Hanako asks without losing composure. "I'm sorry for the neglecting, but we were so busy with the house work that we did not have the time to look." The maid answers before looking at the crosses littering the horizon just off to the left of the mansion. "I'll take a look myself. I'm going to visit my mother's grave while I'm at it." Hanako speaks to the maids and gestures them to return to the mansion. After watching them return to the mansion until the doors are shut, Hanako turns toward the Osaka Massacre Memorial Cemetery. It is there that sixty-four people are buried before a gigantic obelisk that has their names carved into its surface as commemoration for the fallen victims of Osaka's tragic event. According to the new cultural lore, there are two additional grave sites that are meant for Hanako Shikijou Junior and Naoki Shikijou as originally believed that if the two survivors are found dead, they will be in these sites. Now that Hanako and Naoki are still alive, these two grave sites became a reminder to the residents of Osaka that eventually, Naoki and Hanako will join the dead eventually, but marked as "Defiant against Death." With a new mystery, Hanako and her fellow guild mate begin their adventure with an investigation. |
