Re: School is in session!..... It's lunch time?
Tue Oct 02, 2012 3:31 pm
Minami continues cheerfully eating her lunch, ignoring many of the strange things around her. Not once did she question the bandages, nor did she ever question why Aiko was feeding Akio. To her the world was already full of freaks, so whats a few more? She glanced over at Zero as he pointed out Oniichi. Turning she saw a boy who seemed quite...cold. At a glance she had this weird feeling he wasn't someone she'd want to even attempt to be acquaintances with. It was just the vibe she was getting. As she turned back she took a sip of the drink she had with her. As Zero spoke again she looked up once more. He was class president of 2-s and a member of judgement. Two titles that meant absolutely nothing to Minami. People were people, and titles were just that, titles.
Then Akio spoke about Oniichi and her suspicions were confirmed. She indeed wanted little to do with him. She also was mildly intrigued with Akio's comment on Zero's possible strength. Minami turned to Zero for a moment. So you are powerful huh? You know, I never could have told by looking at you. You look just like anyone el- She stopped for a moment when she heard something going on, turning towards Oniichi's location. Three boys has walked up and seemed to be picking a fight. Minami knew something about people picking fights, prompting a quick, Oh boy here we go, they never give up do they? Minami thought she had recognized the boys, they had been picking fights with others before. I can't sense energy, who is at an advantage over there? Your brother, or those idiots? She looked on as a fight seemed inevitable, though she was curious as to how it would happen.

With every passing sentence, Kynria was feeling more and more out of place, but she refused to show it. She just kept following Minami's lead and continued eating her lunch. When Zero introduced himself as a member of judgement and a Class President, Kynria blinked a few times, pleasantly surprised by the information. She then turned her attention towards Akio, who was currently explaining a few things and then pointed out their brother. Setting down her half-eaten lunch, she turned towards Zero and stared at him for a moment. She glanced him up and down, curious to how powerful he actually was, but then pushed off the thought when Minami spoke of the idiots 'never giving up'. Kynria turned her attention to the scene that seemed to have caught everyone else's attention and just watched in silence. She tilted her head in a slight curiosity, as she watched Oniichi read out loud to the idiots who surrounded him in an attempt to intimidate. She didn't really make out what the passage was saying, but the fact that Oniichi didn't even seem to flinch gave Kynria the idea that he was likely going to overwhelm them if they tried anything. Continuing to watch the scene before her, Kynria followed Oniichi as he walked down the center aisle and the others just follow him. Something about this situation sparked her curiosity. She was just unsure what it was, and she had a feeling that if she followed she wouldn't like what she finds. With that in mind, she just pushed off the thought, finally bringing her attention back towards the group with a soft, and slightly nervous smile. "Your brother is... rather frightening..." was all she said before beginning to finish her lunch again. After her first bite, she glanced once more to Oniichi and then shook her head, as if she had no idea what to think of him. "So, is it true you're powerful?" Kynria turned to Zero, at an attempt to change the subject and satisfy her own curiosities. "What about you guys?" Kynria turned to Akio and Aiko, "Are you powerful as well?" |

2-S class president, Member of Judgement
Well things in the lunch room were just getting interesting for just about everyone present. Zero was trying to enjoy his food at this time in the room but it seemed that everything was inspired to stop him in his tracks even through he wasa powerful individual. As Oniichi had everyone's attention, Zero could already tell it was in the Gomot's favor from the start espically with all the experience in using his abilities that he should have over them already. The quincy through believed that their choice of location was not the best as this place was full of other students. Even through their abilities might not harm them exactly but other things could if it came down to it in this crowded area. Before he coud approach them about it, things were being said about him and to him by those around him. It seemed it started as Akio pointed out that he was most likely one of the strongest people present in the school even through no one has seen him fight. It was followed by Minami's comment on how he didn't look like it.
"I might be powerful alright, but I try not to show it off or draw attention to myself from it". He told them.
It was true that Zero wasn't looking for any attention and last thing he needed was people bothering him from being so strong or any similar distraction. It was near absolute that no one needed to learn of him being a S rank ziamachi. If he really needed to use his abilities at school he would stick to his quincy skills and echos unless others were determined most nesscary like another force attacking the school and other students. Then Kynria asked if it really was true then after her attention shifted away from the fight about to start in the school. He definately wasn't going to lie about it at all but that doesn't mean he was going to give his full answer to it.
"Yes it is very much true in a way. I am powerful." He answered.
Zero then took note that Minami couldn't sense any spiritual power and had asked who was at advantage between the two opposing forces. Most would easily bet on Oniichi if they knew who he was but from first appearences some might bet on the others. Actually gambling was already under way at other tables, he even bet on that. They should be using the system that this school has for challenges and it should start with all of them removing the school badges that they were wearing on them. This should be a interesting battle and Zero decided to stay on stand by to make sure if things go messy to stop it from harming others in anyway possible. He then told Minami who he thought had the edge in this fight.
"Well Minami with the school badges on everyone even I can't sense any of them." He explained to her.
"But, Oniichi should have a edge after all seeing what he can do it should be simple for him to win. Right?" He stated.
So what was coming up next in this little show during lunch time. To finish things off for now he would ask Kynria and Minami a single question.
"Do you two have any special abilities?" He asked with curiosity.

The Demonic One Reveals Himself!
Oniichi's Power Unleashed
Aiko Gomoto
Akio Gomoto
The Demonic One Reveals Himself!
Oniichi's Power Unleashed
As the group watch on from the sidelines, Oniichi stands on the central aisle with his custom layered school uniform with the three freshmen standing on opposing end from him, in front of him. Knowing it is a public location, Oniichi can tell either they are on a fool's luck or they know that if Oniichi released, it would cause collateral and that would not benefit the school at all. Oh no it does not! So Oniichi was clever enough to develop some spells to limit the collateral even a small hydrogen explosion. In that case, Oniichi--through Aiko--know these freshmen are based on fire, ice and strength. One can cause a blaze in a second, one can freeze the entire room and one can toss things to keep defenders from having a solid standing. Useful combination, provided that these three knew what they are up against. Oniichi clips his badge off his jacket and let it hover in his hand. Normally, students who knew the rules mean that the three have to respond in kind to count it as a challenge and not some kind of a meaningless gesture of intimidation and assault; the only exception to it was between Oniichi and Akio. as usually the attacks are spontaneous and the two know that they should not cause any collateral unless they want to be expelled. Soon Oniichi was disappointed that the three did not remove their badge.
"I do suggest removing your badge to confirm a challenge, otherwise I will have to defend the school from any deformation from your sheer arrogance." Oniichi speaks to the three with a voice of reason and hard facts. Anyone who knows Oniichi will know that he only looks at the improvements of the school, not the students. The one who handles the students will be the others like Aiko Gomoto and Fukano Otori. "This badge? They're junk!" One of the three speaks out. "I predicted that you'll say that. Word by word, previous offenders say the same and all the same, they find themselves decimated by two ends. The badge you wear has a limiter to keep students in check, so without this badge, I can decimate this room without my discipline training that you three rudely interrupted." Oniichi explains to the three as to those who knew about the badges, they are not limiters, they are protection. So in layman's terms, Oniichi's bluffing to coax the trio to remove their badge to keep them from getting expelled. With that in mind, Oniichi can be seen as merciful under his cold exterior... Change that later on.
The three remove their badge and puts them in front of them naturally. The moment that Oniichi put his on the floor before him, it effectively trigger a spell of his. People like Zero can easily tell that a field spell was in use from a change in a color's hue as Oniichi's spell turns the lunch room from white to gray. Reminding that Oniichi has to keep the collateral to the minimum, the spell is harmless to the other students, but to those who are unfamiliar to who he is can feel a chill creeping up their spine harmlessly, but eerily. "An ice user, eh? I am one too!" The ice freshman speaks out in response to the chill. "I'll let you make the first move." Oniichi speaks to them. Quickly, the strong freshman reaches out to a nearby table, but ends up struggling to get it to hop. The fire freshman throws his fist out to throw a fireball, but what comes out was a puff of smoke. The ice freshman tries to conjures ice in between his hands, but the only good of his ability was to soak his hands in water. The field spell is a Mystic Suppression Field spell, which limits the abilities related to Soul Evolution or the Anima Stone, but not Chi. "My turn." Oniichi speaks before snapping his finger, causing the spell to cancel itself and with haste, he speaks, "Marionette," causing the three to twitch and stand straight with an agonizing look on their faces.
It is a signature ability of Oniichi to control the energy that he injected into them from the Mystic Suppression Field, thus gaining control over their muscles. "Game over." Oniichi speaks as he collects his badge, causing the trio to retrieve their badges. "Let us talk with the Headmaster about your inappropriate behaviors." Oniichi speaks before escorting the doomed freshmen out of the lunchroom.

Minami first listened to some of Zero's answers. He did not deny being strong, only stating he tried to keep it hidden from others. She hadn't payed much attention when he stated who had a distinct advantage as at that point she was focused on the fight, if one could even call it that. Minami watched the scene unfold. As Oniichi began, a chill went down her spine, same as many other people. She watched the challenge unfold before her. Oniichi was able to provoke the Freshman to remove their badges, and when they did, it went downhill for them. Minami couldn't quite tell what was going on, but obviously Oniichi had one. The three Freshman all tried to use their powers, but they all just fizzled out (or didn't work at all). Minami wasn't quite sure what happened when they all walked out towards the headmaster's office, unaware he had taken control of them. As this all ended she turned her attention back to Zero.
At this point Zero asked if her and Kynria had any special abilities. With that, Minami almost wanted to shrink down and disappear. She felt a little embarrassed, since by abilities she assumed he meant powers and the like. She obviously became nervous about answering, since she hated admitting it to people like this. [Well, I um...I...well... She let out a soft sigh in defeat. If not having powers counts as an ability, then yes. She said this and went back to eating as almost a defensive mechanism. She hated admitting that, as she now wondered what they would think of her. So many people had some kind of pity for her when they heard, when she just wanted to be treated normally.

Zero had answered her question honestly, but in a way she really wished her had not. She could only imagine what kind of power he possessed. Then, glancing around the room, she began to realize more and more how many of these people were possessing abilities that could likely crush her. And then, trying to ignore the fight that was about to happen behind them was becoming harder and harder. Kynria really just wanted to enjoy her lunch. These duels between people weren't something she really enjoyed. It only continued to remind her that she was weak and powerless in the presence of everyone here. It only increased her insecurities. Suddenly a chill went up her spine. She turned her head around to look towards the fight. All she saw was the three attempt to use their power, but fail horrible. One was able to create a puff of smoke, the other wash his hands, and the last wasn't really able to do anything at all. Soon the three just stood there like they were afraid of something, mimicked Oniichi in picking up their badges, and then walked out with him. From what Kynria could hear, he was taking them to the Headmaster's office. Kynria's gaze did not falter. She stared at Oniichi and the three as they left, even as they were gone, she stared at the door they left through. Her attention was only pulled away when she heard Zero ask her and Minami a question. She turned her head back towards Zero for a moment, but said nothing. She was embarrassed to. She turned back to her lunch and took another bite. Once she heard Minami explain her lack of abilities, Kynria glanced to Minami, gaining her own courage to speak up about her lack of power. Swallowing her food, she hesitated a moment and then spoke out. "I am the same as Minami... I have no abilities under my belt." Kynria took another bite of her lunch, realizing it was the last one and that there was no nothing else she could use as an excuse to distract her. "It's not exactly something I really like talking about..." Kynria lowered her head a bit, setting her hands in her lap, "I am constantly around so many people that have power, to be among the few that do not... It's slightly embarrassing... And do not take that as any offense, Minami..." Kynria raised her head to look towards her, "It's nice to finally meet someone who knows what it's like to be... well it 'used' to be called normal..." Kynria giggled a little at her last statement and then lowered her head again. |

"None, huh." Zero would say after they answered with a bit of a surprise.
To tell some truth Zero has never met someone that he knew, that didn't have some kind of spiritual ability until now. Althrough when Zero was younger he was powerless as well until Key came along to unlock his potential as he stayed with him. If they had never encountered Zero would probably be quite a different person right now and he probably wouldn't be where he was today. It is one thing about the Arrancar that raised him and has part stuck in his head. In the end he couldn't quite decide if it was right to kill Key's main body or not, it was Haru's final push towards the first option that helped him decide. The exact events of that day it happened are still fuzzy in his mind as he could tell if he actually forgot or it was one of the tricks that the Voice still held on his mind. Originally only a year or two after killing of Key the ziamachi had activated on it's own within him and wipe his memory in a attempt to seperate him from Haru and recreate Key's main body. This was a story through that has long lingered in his past and will not be given up so easily, but the events before him some how brought it to his mind.
Before Zero a fight had taken place that wasn't too surprising as the three were near hopeless from the start. Their abilities failed them and Oniichi did his "special magic" to get them to all walk out of the room to the headmaster's office. The Voice decided to make a comment on Oniichi as he left within Zero's mind.
"That one has great potential, this wasn't even a fight when you compare the sides." He stated.
"Well, when some is claimed strongest in the school, you shouldn't get to surprised." Zero responded within.
"But, both of us know you could provide a challenge for him in a way." The Voice told Zero.
"Possible." The quincy finished the conversation within.
By the time the conversation was done within Zero's head he had heard Kynria's final statement that she had giggled about. The single word that caught his attention was normal and it was a word that already held his interest quite a bit. Maybe being around Kynria and Minami would help him understand normal more than before or now. As the four fighters had left things started to cool down a bit as things went back to normal. Once again that word was appearing before him as it described the situation, but what was the meaning! It's like having the answer to the ultimate question without knowing the question!
" You two are lucky in my book, having abilities like me are more of a burden I believe. After all most have said with power comes responsibility." He told them.
Of course this burden was a voice inside of his head that was constantly watching at least he is lead to believe of such althrough their are times that the Voice is silent as ever. But the thing that annoyed him the most was when he used his Silence Zone, he still couldn't get the thing to shut up! This was the average dealings that Zero had with the voice in his head most of it wasn't pleasent and he probably would give it away to anyone if problems didn't arise from it. He had a chance of getting rid of it when he met Len but instead he had split the Voice and they both possessed him. It's quite annoying when you think of a voice in your head thats a constant annoyance at least him and Len should be one of the only two to have this one.
"I would gladly give you mine if I could." He told them.
That statement was half a lie as he left out a statement that should of been added.

Akio Gomoto
Aiko Gomoto
Aiko Gomoto
"Well, since you two don't have powers, then me and Zero can help you both about that. Considering that the Blood Red Sandman's Son is still outside Karakura's Wall...or was he?" Akio likes to tease girls when he is comfortable around them. When it comes to Michiko, he has more luck saying one word than to tease. Aiko sighs, knowing the tale as well. "The tale that we learned in London?" Aiko asks Akio. "The very one and holds true today!" Akio speaks out with chipper attitude as if the tale was very interesting. Providing that the girls are interested in ghost stories, Akio does not mind telling it. After all, it is close to the day that Halloween begins. A boy turns his head to Akio from behind Aiko and asks, "I never heard of that story, can you tell it to us?" In the Western Hemisphere like London, the tale of the Blood Red Sandman's Son was big, but in places like Japan, it is an exotic tale. Some of the students gather as the story time was likely to start. Soon, more and more gather. Akio looks at Zero with a nervous smile on his face; typical that Akio gets more than he bargained for, but this time, he has to pay in full for his promise. "Alright, gather up behind these two lovely ladies. Casts cannot allow me to turn my head. Haha..."
The students pick up their lunch and went over to the tables behind Minami and Kynria as Aiko sits next to Kynria, having the two girls sitting in between Aiko and Zero. Akio clears his throat as he coping with the sudden audience.
"Right... This tale was told when me, my sis and my brother are little. We are at London when we heard it from fellow demon hunters. This tale is believed to be a true story of how one demon came to be from an unusual origin. The Tale of the Blood Red Sandman's Son!"
Long time ago, sixteen years from now, there was a young boy, no older than ten lived in a Georgian house in the United States. He was raised by two loving parents who are demon hunters like me and Aiko. He has three siblings; an older brother, a younger brother and a baby sister. What sets the boy apart from his family was his powerful presence; a presence so powerful that it even made Oniichi look weak. One day, a demon approached the boy, bearing a gift of his salvation from his servitude. The boy smiled and declined. "I will be my own salvation. You just sit back and pray I don't return with a sword." The demon backed off and foretold to the boy that eventually, his story will be heard through the ages. Intrigued, the boy looked at the demon and asked about his fate. "A demon lord never lies when it comes to fate. Upon the night, your family will turn you into a demon." The demon spoke, sending chills down the boy's spine. He does not know what to make of it. Fearing that his family will try to kill him, the boy raced back home and resumed his life until he finds a knife in the kitchen drawer.
His older brother came into the kitchen, asking about the knife while holding a baseball bat to protect himself. The boy looked with a grim glare. Later on, the younger brother arrived home from school to find his baby sister weeping and wailing. When he passes by the kitchen, he found blood on the floor... Akio pauses to create a bit of suspense. He walks into the kitchen and found his older brother, mutilated and hung from the slowly spinning ceiling fan. On the white table cloth stained in his older brother's blood saying, "PRAY FOR I SURVIVED!" The boy was nowhere to be seen and the younger brother called his parents about the death of the older brother. With the family alerted, the two demon hunters guard the remaining children.
It is at night when the legend starts as the boy returned home. The parents found the boy returning him and quickly took him to his siblings, fearing that someone is after him. It is in the morning when the mailman arrived the neighborhood, only to see...blood as the neighborhood was massacred in one night, thus came to known to the demon hunters as "Blood Red Sandman's Son."
In previous experiences, demon hunters and the military tried to kill this demon man, but none survived. it is now believed that the Gomoto Family are the remaining demon hunters on Earth because of that boy who turned demon. The description says that he stood at an inhuman height, slender in shape while dressed like any other person you walked into. There are only two people who ever survived the encounter. Akio points to the picture of Hanako Shikijou Junior at the billboard. And she is one of these two and she is just as powerless as these two before me.. Akio gestures to Minami and Kynria, indicating that back then, Hanako Shikijou Junior, the Top Valedictorian of Karakura High School, was one of only survivors against the Blood Red Sandman's Son. He massacred thousands; man, woman, and child alike. A true monster to behold. The End.
Akio observes for reaction.

Upon hearing Kynria's words she giggled a bit. It's fine, one of these days I'll prove to everyone what I can do, and I'm sure you will too. Since you can see spirits, I'd say you have a head start. Then, Minami listened as Zero commented about having powers. He called them a burden and said he would gladly give his up if he could. This actually prompted Minami to laugh a bit. Burden or blessing, it is all based on experience. Personally, not having powers has been a bigger burden to me than you would believe. How's this for something. You know how easily someone could just grab me and kill me while I'm out in town? If someone has any type of power I am in serious trouble. Not to mention how many people look at me like a handicap when they find out of my powerlessness. I am really getting sick of that. Until I met Kynria yesterday, I had absolutely no one to talk to.
It was at this point that Akio decided it would be story time. People gathered all around as Akio began to tell this story of his. Minami personally didn't like legends like this very much. Actually, she liked mythology and things of that nature, but "ghost stories" never were her thing. She just sat there calmly as he went through. In truth, she was not easily scared. Only when her life was in danger did she really feel actual terror, and that hadn't happened yet. When Akio finished she had but one thing to say. Spooky, well he actually isn't much different from a lot of demon's rampaging through the wastes. She giggled a bit as she said this. She had never seen them (obviously) but she knew of all the dangers of leaving, and the term "demons" came up many times when discussing the outside world. Still, sounded no different than any other demon she knew of. Though she did wonder if all demons were evil, but that would be a mystery for another day.

"Yeah, maybe..." Kynria said with a small smile. She didn't really think she would ever amount to really anything within the spirit part of this world, but hearing Minami's courage and determination did make her feel as if it might actually be possible. Kynria turned her attention to Zero. She tilted her head to the side, staring at him for a few seconds. Just listening to his words, she was able to tell that he was referring to himself. He sees his powers as a burden. It was something she was likely going to ask about, but at another time. Her attention was then caught by Akio. He mentioned a story. "The Red Blood Sandman's Son?" Kynria immediately did not like the name. It sounded like some sort of murder story. She realized she was right when Akio began to tell them the story. But before he did, a large amount of people began to gather around just to listen to him tell it. This immediately made Kynria feel extremely uncomfortable. Then, Akio actually asked them to move behind Minami and herself. Immediately she scooted in more on her chair, feeling absolutely surrounded and caged. She grabbed onto the bench she was sitting on, gripping it rather tightly, all while attempting to keep a calm look on her face, which at the moment she was succeeding. Akio began telling the story. Through out the entire tale, Kynria stared at him with slightly widened eyes, showing that the information was definitely swirling around in her mind. Kynria was one of those people that constantly believed and over thought stories such as this. Although most would think of it as some silly story told around a campfire, she foolishly believes them. Once he was finished telling the story, her attention was caught by Minami's statement. She disagreed. Yes, it was highly similar to the demons that just rampage through when they feel like it, but something caught Kynria's mind. She turned to Akio and asked him about it. "What did you mean when you said it was outside of Karakura's wall?" Kynria stared seriously at him, wanting this answer. This story was going to end up being on her mind for a long while. |
