Chuchuri's Fear, Darkness

A light wind blue through the cold night in Fuma Park. A little white haired girl with a pink daisy in her long locks sat on a bench, like she did every night, unable to sleep due to her fear. Her small green mini-skirt a sign oof her attendance in a school, combined with her tan jacket, made for her outfit. They poor girl was homeless and scared. Her arms clenching her small legs to her chest as tears slowly went down her cheeks.

She shivered constantly, the only source oof possible heat was her body. A light post flickered on and off several times. Chuchuri quickly looked up, her head snapping straight to the only light source around for blocks.. Seeing the lightbulb was soon to go out, the girl's face twisted with fear as the tears and crying became far louder and much faster, hiccups now occasionally sounding from the tiny girls mouth.

It happened. The light disappeared and shejumped off the bench to move quickly into the forested area on the other side of the playground. She ran, tears flying behind her until she tripped over the cement edge off the playground, crashing into the ground harshly. Pushing herself enough to role over, she saw a man standing... in the sky? He seemed to be looking straight at her but she wasn't focus and was scared. She pushed herself u, crying from the pain as she ran into the woods to climb into a tree. Her body proped against the trunk, sh was silent on the branch she sat upon.

Chuchuri had nodded of slightly, her tired little body not being able to go much longer. But that changed when she felt something weird. She had no idea what it was but just... felt it. With no vocabulary to use at her young and unschooled age, she opened her eyes to look around. Though for some reason, she saw a green abd brown glow, going through the trees in the woods. But in an instant, it was gone.

"Hello, are you alright up there?" Her head shot down, looking down to a man giving of the same yucky aura color. Chuchuri gulped, standing slowly to back away before remembering the ground was below her. With a thud, Chuchuri landed on her tired butt. She quickly stood and tried to crawl away but the impact had hurt a bit more than she thought.Her head turning to see the mans aura was.... nice?

"I-I'm okay! Please... don't bully me..." Chuchuri was still trying to slide away slightly, hoping the man would either give her a home or go away. She didn't like the dark. It made everything but prettu ladies scary. She even liked Mana Mana more in the dark. She had a picture of her in her backpackk as it was. But that... was stuck in the tree.

Chuchuri had fallen, that much she was sure of but she was caught by the man talking to her. Still scooting away slightly, she was too focused on just keeping space between them. Failing to hear the man speak of nature and children born fron it, she gulped when he asked for her name. Her face fell, head tilted down with her hair covering her face before she spoke up.

"I don't have a name... I just tell grown up's my name is Chuchuri. Nobody at the orphanage gave me a name," came Chuchuri's cute and high pitched voice. (Think Nagisa in Clannads Japanese dub)



Chuchuri's head perked up at the man's next question, her head nodding enthusiasticlu while her mouth moved.

"Do I get a bed and clothes...? I-I'll go!" Chuchuri's face lit up, not really thinking if he could be a bad man or not. She stood up and shouted out, 'Pikohan,' her catched phrase before a small hammer fell towards the man's head as she climbed up the tree after her bag.

"Uhm.... I left it up there.." Pointing to her bag, way up in the tree, she pulled out her kendama before spinning it and letting the ball fly to grapple her bags shoulder strap. Chuchuri pulled on her kendama, causing her bag to fall into her arms upside down. A small picture of Mana Mana fluttered down too the ground, unknowingly to Chuchuri, it landed in the man's general area.

That was alll she needed to know. Her tired mental state was coming back to haunt her. Those days she went without sleep and long nights that scared her too much to even move were over with the answer. Chuchurii was jumping up and down in the depths of her soul, whicch served to exhaust her further. Her head nodded enthusiasticly at those words.

"Of course you will have a bed and clothes, you'll be accepted as one of us of course, a child of nature 'Nature Iramasha'." The man beore her had said. The mention of Nature Iramasha went in one ear and out the other as she suddenly was up and crashing into the man offering her a home with tears in her eyes. The tears off joy kept coming as Chuchuri squeezed the mans waist in a hug from the side. But without warning it began to rain. She didn't care as she cried happily and wailed on without stopping. It was cold though.... Chuchuri had started shivering while she pullled at the man to get him under her tree. Seeing her photo of Mana in his hand, her eyes lit up and tried to grab it from him, scared of what he would think. Though he had held it out to her, she had graned it harshly, unsure if she was being mean or not.

The thought of liking Mana Mana was bad to other adults.. She just wanted to be like her since she could protect herself then. Chuchuri didn't want someone angry at her. She was still holding his pants leg, giving up on getting her photo back. She had another in her pocket anyway and smiled at the man unsure.

"So would you like to go now we have many things that have to be done now that I have found you."

"Uh huh.... I wanna go.... home.
