Visiting the old days

Despite the passage of over 400 years, the Soul Society has remained generally the same; only a few signs of change. The sun still shone in the sky, the large walls still encased the Seireitei, and everything still felt as if it was from the feudal era in Japan. However, not all changes were as easy to spot as aesthetics. There were new factions that now lived separate from the Seireitei, as well as small technological advancements that one would have to know to look for. Still, to one who lived in the Soul Society those 400 so years ago, everything seemed alien and out of place. This was no different to the former captain turned Vizard; Ravana Ichiro.

Although he still "unofficially" worked for the Seireitei, Ravana had not been back there in many years. Of course, no matter how many times he went there, he still always felt out of place; even if he was still on good terms with the Gotei 13. As much as he longed for the old days, Ravana knew that they would never come back, and the only thing he could do was simply to keep going on into the future. Despite the changes over the years, Ravana still knew relatively well how to get around; the basic layout of the Seireitei remaining the same over the years. As he walked around the streets of the Seireitei, he did run into a few Shinigami, but all of them were too fresh to even know who he was. "I wonder if any of us are still left here" he mumbled to himself. Of course, by this he meant any of the Captains or Lieutenants who he had trained and fought with in the war against Aizen. Of course, as his thoughts drifted to the past, he began to pay less attention to where he was headed.

400 Years after the great war, and everything seemingly was the same. Well, besides some computers and shit, it WAS the same. Soul Society looked just like it did back when Ichigo actually invaded it to rescue Rukia, and kicked some major ass in the process. Well, in the end, it was made clear that Aizen was the source of all problems - and it ended all in the war that ended Aizen.
Now, Ichigo Kurosaki was actually part of the Gotei. A few centuries ago, he would've never even thought about joining them... but you could only go so far alone, when all your friends either died or disappeared. Disappeared was mostly Chad, Ichigos best friend, Tatsuki was now dead, Orihime... he had lost contact with her a few years after the war, actually. And all his other friends either didn't know anything of this whole spiritual stuff, or were actually Shinigami. How long did it take for Ichigo to come here, and join the Gotei? One hundred years, or two hundred? Well, it didn't matter now. He was now a member of the 9th Division, even though his strength would be more than enough for a higher rank. Kurosaki simply refused to take any of them. He just wasn't the guy to do paperwork, or lead a large group of people.
Today was just another day, indeed. Standing on one of the training grounds of the ninth division, Ichigo was just grabbing his sword, swirling it around in his hand - basic moves in order to warm the own body up, get a perfect feel for Zangetsu today, and get ready for real training. As he just got ready to blow up a boulder he moved in here for a test with a pointed and aimed Getsuga Tensho, however, he noticed someone walking right infront of his target, only seconds before Ichigo released his technique. If he hadn't noticed it, this stranger would now be send flying and get quite some injuries if he didn't have reflexes of a supreme fighter.
"Hey, you! How about looking where you are walking? I nearly cut you in half!" Ichigo said with a loud, annoyed voice, before using Shunpo in order to appear right infront of him. Frowning his brows together, as usual, the orange haired young man rested his blade upon his shoulder. "You're not a member of the 9th, I take it. Who are you?"

As usual, once Ravana got lost in thought, he was almost completely oblivious to the surrounding world. Of course, the near encounter with one of Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho's did help to snap him back to reality. However, once he heard the voice of a familiar shinigami, Ravana was back and fully aware. "Ichigo Kurosaki, damn, it sure has been a long time" Ravana said with a smile. Back 400 years ago, before the war with Aizen, Ravana had spent some time in the world of the living after becoming a captain. During that time, Ravana had become close to a certain female, Tatsuki Ariwasa. Through this, Ravana also got to know the "famous" Ichigo Kurosaki. Their relationship, however, was quite odd. Although they didn't think so, they both had quite similar personalities, and would each do anything within their powers to protect a friend.

"C'mon Ichigo, are you telling me that you don't remember who I am?" Ravana asked in his friendly tone, still smiling. Even though it had been around 400 years since they had seen each other, both of them had the kind of face and personality that you just didn't forget. Of course, there was something else that connected these two individuals; they were both Vizards and they both had a resurreccion. Sure, Ichigo might not use the title Vizard anymore, but that didn't change anything. Of course, it then hit Ravana that he had probably just interrupted Ichigo's training. "Oh, uh, sorry if I got in your way while you were training or what" he said, apologizing in a slightly comedic manner.
