Time for a Mission -Closed-
Sat Jul 28, 2012 2:55 pm
Kaede was traveling slowly, walking along his way to Squad One. He had to meet the team leader for his assignment in the living world, a group of Meno's had been seen and they wanted him to go with Kaminari because he needed more training it seemed. His hands rested in his pockets, something about the way he moved and walked seemed to indicate that he was ready to go on this mission. Kaede's eyes weren't exactly filled with joy at the moment, two new leaders of his Division had been selected. Besides why was a Fourth Seat being sent out, thoughts like this seemed to fill his mind at the moment. He didn't have time, one of his friends who'd delivered the message as he arrived was sneaking around. Kaede slowly walked past and into the waiting area.
A couple letters of signed signatures had been delivered to Kaminari, some from Crow and others from well let's just say other Captains. Squad 2 wasn't exactly the same build as the rest. He was already an outcast in that place, besides Kaede had shown his talent after a while. Something about this mission bothered him, they weren't telling him something about it. But perhaps that would unfold as well. Either way, sensing Kaminari wasn't hard for him. She had a high enough pressure only an idiot wouldn't be able to find it, less she had hidden it.
"Calm down Kaede, it's not as though you are in trouble, I am with you always and we'll win any battle that comes our way." The voice of the gentle yet stern Hikarigai had chimed in, causing Kaede a slight smile. He had been alone for so long, perhaps they both longed for someone in their lives. Well all that he could do is wait and inform her of the situation.

"There is no point in having power..." An hour ago... Kaminari had received a few letters from a couple Captains and realized that the mission she was going to be sent on might not be such a walk in the park. Lately she had been really active in missions lately and wondered what that was meaning for her. It almost felt like she was once again being tested, and the letter from Captain Crow sort of confirmed her suspicions on that. She didn't really know whether she wanted to react to this or not, but knew she had to. It wouldn't be the smartest idea to ignore an order from more than one Captain. Still, these letters held hardly any information in them at all. There was only a few things mentioned about Menos arriving in the World Of The Living and that was about it. "Once again, a mission with no information... How original...." her sarcasm was obvious as she spoke out loud. She tied her hair up, grabbed her Zanpakutō, and left her apartment, leaving a small letter for a certain person to allow them to know where she went. Current time.... Kaminari was currently sitting on the roof of a building in the Squad One Barracks and was waiting for her comrade. She was informed of who she would be going on this mission with and was actually rather shocked about it. She hadn't seen or talked to this man in so long, yet they chose him to go with her. It had to have been months, if not longer. So much had happened, she wondered how much power he had now. They had never really went on any missions together, and their main encounter had to do with a man that was now dead and not really missed. This was either a time for the two of them to establish some sort of friendship or realize that they will never get along and just leave it at that. She didn't know which one that was going to be. She didn't have many enemies, so she doubted that she would dislike him. "He's here...." a strong feminine voice let itself be known from within her. Shiroka Hanayaku, her Zanpakutō Spirit. "I can sense him..." Kaminari replied as she watched Kaede walk into the area. She watched him for a moment. She had not hidden herself at all, so she knew that he knew she was there. "Can't say I thought you were the smiling type..." Kaminari suddenly spoke out, raising her arm and waving rather happily to him. She had a huge smile on her face and hopped off the roof of the building, landing next to him. "It's been a while! How are you!?" |

Kaede walked over giving Kaminari a hug, smiling softly as he looked on. He glanced towards his back and around, he'd worked hard and well he'd not built himself to a point where he was strong. Yes he was building on what was a powerful scale, he wasn't nearly as strong as Kaminari. He knew this was a fact, she'd even passed the man he once had beaten. It was rather impressive, Kaede spoke finally now confirming it as he looked behind him a couple boys from his Division's Stealth Force who'd hidden decently appeared.
"So it's true, we do have a mission, was hoping it wasn't true that they were sending me out. I've gotten a bit nicer, now that I am not all alone. Hikarigai is someone special to me, I care for her deeply. She's been a light for me and well, I've grown out of the being I was before..But..I gotta say..I wasn't expecting them to send me out, it must mean they need a Kidō specialist..I am not sure though, I was told that a big rift and thing needs investigating. Though your pry about as good as me at it, eh I feel like dead weight..though Hikarigai disagrees..haha"
The once cold man had lightened up so much from several developments, he'd grown into a far stronger man. Kaede wasn't stopping his growth any longer, this was exactly the time for him to build upon a better man that he'd become.

"There is no point in having power..." Kaminari blinked a few times as she was hugged. It actually took her a second to realize that she needed to hug back. Once she did, the hug broke and she smiled up to him. "A hug? That's another thing I didn't think that you would ever do. You really have changed." she spoke in a soft, sweet tone towards him. It was nice to see he wasn't so tense and serious like he was when the two of them first met. Kaminari turned her head towards the two boys that had shown up from the Stealth Force and blinked a few times. Looking back to Kaede, she nodded. "Well of course we have a mission. I doubt they'd send you here for no reason." she said with that same smile she had always held since the two of them had met. "Though... I wasn't given any details about the mission, which is strange, so is there anything that any of you could tell me?" Kaminari was as happy and sweet as she had always been, although the naive side of her seemed to have subsided since they last met. So many things had happened, that catching up was going to be hard. She was excited to tell him a lot of things, but knew that it would have to wait because the mission came first. She looked over towards the two boys from the Stealth Force and held out her right hand. "Hi. I'm Kaminari Hatakeyama. Third Seat of Squad One! Nice to meet the both of you!" Once they would shake their hands and introduce themselves, Kaminari would nod and begin walking out of the Squad Barracks so they could finally start their mission. |

Kaede nodded to them as they vanished, he wasn't sure about this entire task that was going on. Kaede raised his arm, his right arm came to his chest. His elft came to his chin, Kaede was still a sharp mind and well an able member of the thinking group, he never really got anything done anymore with Squad 2. He wasn't skilled at Hakuda really at all, if anything his skills within the fields of the Kidō arts were what was impressive. Building upon an impressive build as it was, Kaede truly was set for a large scale combat. He followed Kaminari now slowly, giving a shrug of his shoulders. He'd offered her what details he could, his scouts were out grabbing more information now. The Stealth Force, an organization on it's own that had been almost entirely forgotten.
"Well for the most part, I suggest we go to the location, perhaps once we get there..we'll gather some information based on what happened to the spot. From what I understand the previous investigation squad has vanished, our objective is to really find out why and..what's the nature of their life at the moment. I have a contact in the living world from the Vizard Corps, he'll aid us in healing if any should be required. But that's about all I have myself, did Captain Crow give you anything in his letters. I know that he and you speak somewhat rarely though. What's he like anyways, never met the man really. Our squad hardly get's out anymore."

"There is no point in having power..." Kaminari was automatically insulted when neither of the two boys that were currently working under her authority would even introduce themselves when she had done so nicely. They took a few minutes to get to the Senkaimon. She stopped walking as it was being opened and looked to Kaede, raising an eyebrow about his curiosity with Captain Crow. Keeping a rather blank look, she closed her eyes and crossed her arms along her chest, "Captain Crow only told me something about Menos appearing in the World of The Living... And yeah... I know him. Right now he and I are not on speaking terms, and I doubt we will be for a while. The only reason I even responded to his letter by going on this mission is because he IS a Captain and it IS my job. Nothing more." Kaminari looked up and watched as the Senkaimon was opened for them. She began walking through, her arms dropping back down to her sides as she walked. "So tell me... who is this contact of yours? You said he was in the Viazard Corps? What kind of man is he? Will he be joining us, or just allowing us information?" As she stepped into the Senkaimon, the door was closed behind them and she continued walking until she would finally come up to a door that would allow her passage into The World Of The Living, but for now she just walked with Kaede. |

"Ryu Shizuka, known among the people he works with as the Sleeping Dragon, he's a healing genius though he does look to be about a child. He'll only come in if we call for aid that's all he's offered in terms of support. He's not truthfully the type of guy to get involved in such things unless he must, he'll stay out of it if he can help it at all. As for the matter you spoke of, Captain Crow last I heard was taking on several dangerous missions he'd gone out to a war seems. Not sure of the details though, some reason they couldn't talk him out of it..Eh weird guy, not sure what drove that..But anyways, I would say it's pry more along the lines of what's coming up, I am sorry for those two by the way. The Stealth Force, should act on manners. But lately our Captain has been absent and well our new Vice Captain isn't much better."
Kaede responded as he followed after the female, taking himself towards the woman's path now. He wasn't exactly sure where abouts he was going yet, the location was in Karakura Forest, just in range of the Sleeping Dragon, who often awoke to heal the people who needed it. This wasn't exactly his plan for things going on her. Kaede followed after Kaminari, the boys had gone ahead to secure the location.

"There is no point in having power..." "Your Vice Captain... At a time, wasn't that a man named Redd Tsueken? Or was that your Third Seat? Either way..." Kaminari spoke sort of coldly when she thought about this man. She didn't hate him exactly, but the last time he met, he used his bankai in a battle against her when he knew she only had Shikai. In her mind, Redd was what the people in this world call a 'pussy'. He was a wimp. Going one hundred percent on someone that is no way near your level, he really was just weak and a jerk. "...Isn't he dead?" she continued from what she had been saying before. She didn't even sound like she cared much. When asking around, she had heard NOTHING positive about that man, and she didn't even like him very much, so it was obvious he was unwanted in every aspect of this Universe they were in. "And what you said before... about Captain Crow..." Kaminari once again continued, but this time her tone was different. She actually did sound slightly concerned, but it wasn't that much. She was still angry with him as well for what happened. "What do you mean he went off to war? Explain that further... Also, I'll kick those two in the butt a little later." she said the last part referring to the two who had not introduced themselves. Finally the door to the exit of the Senkaimon appeared and they were able to walk through it. Once they were out, they'd been in the middle of a small valley, only a mile away from the location they were supposed to be meeting at. "Not too bad I guess... Last time I was brought through the Senkaimon, they put me right in the line of enemy fire... I think they learned their lesson." she said with a smile and giggled a little bit. |

"Well word is around the Second Division he went by himself, to the place the large explosion happened in the Zerkai District. Over one thousand hollows have been massing in the area for sometime, no one is sure why though they are coming. Some reports say a man had come from their and just leveled the place, I know other Captains may head that way, but he went on ahead. From what reports we have his Squad member say he feels extremely guilty about that area and doesn't mind dying for his sins..Some are quite concerned about this..Personally I don't really care, sins and such are a business best left to someone who doesn't work for the Gotei 13. Don't know, truly don't care about the former Vice. He's dead for all I care."
After exiting the Senkaimon he glanced around a bit, before remembering his first time through this place as well. It wasn't exactly a pleasure cruise experience, he came into the world of the living only to get jumped by several weird creatures who reminded him of hollows, yet they seemed to be more or less simple creatures like men.
"Mine wasn't much of a picnic either...Oh someone said that the Captain wrote out letters to be delivered to a woman, giving his apologies too. Someone said he was too frightened to go meet her, personally I think it's pry just rumors around 8th going on."

"There is no point in having power..." Kaminari could not help but laugh so hard about what Kaede had just said towards his old Vice Captain. She slightly felt the same way, which at times made her feel guilty, but then she got over it. She covered her mouth and looked away, the only sign of her laughing being the fact that her shoulders kept moving up and down. She had turned away from him to hide the fact that she was laughing, and at this time she did not make a single sound. She couldn't stop, she set her other hand on her stomach and then finally was able to calm down when her tummy was hurting from laughing so much. She took in a deep breath, cleared her throat, and turned back to Kaede with a small smile. "I see you weren't very fond of that male either." Kaminari said, the word 'male' being an insult in this case. She couldn't call him a boy because boys had common sense and wouldn't hurt people that they called them friends, and she wouldn't call him a man because he didn't meet her criteria of what a man was. That was bad too, since her criteria was just don't be a jerk and be taller than her. "I see..." she said in a mumble, "So Captain Crow sent letters to a woman he was too frightened to come talk to himself..." Kaminari's eyes narrowed as she was thinking. She didn't look angry, just like she was deep in thought. She had stopped moving and all of that. She lost her train of thought. Out of no where, she balled up her fist and began randomly yelling. "WHAT AN IDIOT!! If he wants to apologize to me, then all he needs to do is talk to me! He knows where I am at! Why would he be scared!? It's NOT like I am going to go off on some rampage to attack him or something! He should expect me to be mad since all of that crap with Shinji happened, but if he would just COME AND TALK TO ME, everything would be fine!!!" Speaking all of that rather quickly, she ran out of breath and slouched over, allowing he arms just to hang there as she took in air. Finally she caught her breath and looked back up to Kaede, "Okay, so what are we doing again?" She was serious. She forgot the mission and once again it needed to be explained. She always did have a one track mind. |
