This Can't Be A Coincidence [Closed]

Logan literally just nodded and waved his hand towards Snopy as if to tell him just to give him a minute. Then, Logan actually bent over, setting his hands on his knees as if to catch his breath. Taking one last deep breath, he stood up straight and listened to the two of them talk. Kiyomi's comment about him almost being killed made Logan smirk. Snopy did have him on the run for a minute there, and because of this Logan pulled his hands out of his pockets, knowing that he was going to need the balance to keep him going. "You may start your attack when ever you wish." Logan told him with a small nod as he waited for Snopy to continue their spar. "Now I will begin to counter, so don't think that I will just be dodging. Still... your goal has not changed. Force me to draw my sword. Once you have made me draw my sword, if that moment comes, you will continue the fight until you drop." Logan gave a final glance towards Kiyomi and then looked back to Snopy. The reason he kept looking to her was to make sure that she would not get within the line of fire. With Snopy's main weapon being Kidō, if they weren't paying attention to the girls location and got to close or he dodged while a Kidō was being shot off, the girl would be in danger. This wasn't something that either of them wanted, so Logan was doing his best to keep track of her location.

Snopy simply listened and nodded, he really had little to say at this point. Training was training, the conditions didn't really matter. Either way, he planned to fight until he dropped, that's for sure. Snopy tightened the grip on his blade and raised it up back into stance. He Shunpo'd forward and raised his blade in the air. He brought his blade straight down with as much speed and force as he could. It was the kind of thing that could cleave someone in half if Snopy was stronger. Either way, failure to dodge could cause a nice gash going down Logan's chest, though Snopy spaced it correctly as to not risk hitting Logan's face or private area. He raised his right hand up after this, pointing a finger out aiming straight for Logan's chest. Hadō #4, Byakurai. He fired the beam slightly to the side of the heart as to avoid dealing a fatal blow. If it hid its mark though it would be pretty serious.

To top it off Snopy added two more slashes. Swinging his sword from where Logan's left shoulder was to his right hip. He followed this up with a swing down Logan's right leg. Though this wouldn't deal enough damage to render the leg useless, Snopy obviously held back, it would hopefully add a little pain when he tried to run. The attack might not cut deep but it moved as fast as Snopy could swing, hopefully leaving a medium sized cut on Logan's leg.

Logan had to remember that he was now supposed to counter and attack Snopy as well. It wasn't just sitting back and dodging, so his style of fighting would switch up a bit. He would begin to seem slightly more graceful in his movements as Snopy brought his blade downward towards Logan's body. It was definitely a strong and well placed strike, one that Logan wouldn't want to be hit by. He pushed himself backward, in a semi-jump, slightly gliding away from Snopy. While 'gliding' back, Snopy raised his finger to shoot a Byakurai towards him, and immediately Logan's left foot hit ground. He kicked his right foot upwards towards Snopy's wrist and forced the Byakurai to be shot off into the air instead of at him. Now, he didn't allow the shift between Kidō and sword to happen. Instead he turned his body, switching which feet he was standing on by bringing his right foot down to the floor, and his left leg up to swing it in a strong kick towards Snopy's right side.

Logan was trying to quickly put Snopy on defense and see if he could be brought back onto the offensive side without too much trouble. Hakuda, hand to hand combat, was not exactly Logan's best skill, but his style was definitely different than others. A lot of people from his past were in shock, confusion, and awe, when they realized that a man like him had a graceful side. He found that moving like this kept his ability to shift from position to position much easier than the more stable stances. Now, he did the same thing, but this time spun the opposite direction, switching feet the same way he had done before, and sent another strong kick towards Snopy's upper left shoulder.

Snopy was as ready as he could be as Logan's foot came from his right. Snopy jumped to the left just enough for Logan's foot to whiff along Snopy's sleeve. As Snopy landed Logan's right foot came towards his shoulder. Snopy ducked down as fast as he could, his heart speeding up just a bit as Logan's foot almost kicked his head. Snopy only avoided because he threw his head down as well. This put him in a perfect position however. Snopy placed his palm on Logan's chest. Hadō #33, Sokatsui. Unless Logan' reacted fast, he would take a point blank Sokatsui straight to the core of his body. As Snopy fired it off he ran forward.

He raised his blade as if to slash at Logan's chest once more. But partway into the swing he Shunpo'd. He appeared behind Logan and went to make a powerful horizontal slash across his back. As he finished, he turned his blade to angle up, and swung upwards. He aimed to cut into Logan's arm a bit. The swing wasn't at full power, due to the fact he'd rather not waste too much energy when his swing fought against gravity. He was still unsure of what to expect, what Logan's next course of action was a mystery. As such, he simply put up his guard and watched all his flanks.

As Snopy dodged his second kick, Snopy immediately went for a very quick Kidō attack, a powerful one as well. This wasn't one that he would easily be able to dodge at close range and definitely not in his current position. Well, Snopy succeeded. Logan brought his hand down to his Zanpakutō and unsheathed it. The blade was immediately placed into the way of the Sokatsui. Logan's speed and strength were definitely good enough to hold off this Kidō rather easily. He pushed the Kidō to the side, giving him just enough time to shunpo off to the left before it hit his body. Before he really had a chance to do anything else, Snopy charged him with another attack with his blade. Now that his sword was drawn, it would be MUCH harder for Snopy to really cause any damage to him. His fighting style when using swords was completely different than when he was only using hand to hand. He brought his blade upwards towards Snopy's blade and blocked it rather easily. "You were able to get me to draw my sword. Not many people have done that. Congratulations on your increase in strength..."

He brought his sword downwards towards Snopy's blade, stopping him from bringing his sword up towards him. Seeing as Logan's Zanpakutō was currently stopping Snopy's from coming any farther up, Logan swung his leg upwards and slightly diagonally towards Snopy's right shoulder. Immediately, he would follow with another kick from his other leg by spinning and bringing the other leg up to kick him as well. His movements were quick and fluid, using a bit of speed behind them to see whether Snopy was fast enough to see him a three quarters of his speed. He didn't want to use full power because he actually wasn't trying to hurt him, nor did he want a certain female coming back to annoy him with taunts and complimenting this male.

Snopy showed no change in expression on his face at the moment, somehow after the last session he found himself doing something he almost never did. Take something 100% seriously. Logan had drawn his blade, that much was certain. Snopy was fully aware of the difference in power, but he was interested in the idea of seeing if how much he could do. He made it his goal to defeat Logan. Whether it could be achieved was questionable, but he wanted to set a goal to aim for. Logan had amp'd up the speed, and was going much faster now. Snopy's eyes were extremely good, they could keep up with the speedy movements. However, just being able to see something doesn't mean you can dodge it. However, the chances of dodging were indeed increased due to it.

As Logan's first kick came towards him, Snopy did all he could, he raised his right arm up as fast as he could and did his best to stop the kick. Logan was indeed stronger, his foot slammed into Snopy's lower arm with some force. The force almost caused Snopy's hand to slam into the side of his head due to the positioning. Either way, Snopy's arm would be in a decent amount of pain from the impact. As he did this he pushed with his Zanpakutō to get Logan's blade off of him, just as Logan went in for another kick. With this kick Snopy wasn't so lucky, he attempted to jump away, however he didn't go far enough. Logan's leg slammed into Snopy's side. The damage was slightly less since Snopy was moving in the same direction, lessening the impact, but it wasn't enough to send Snopy back a few feet.

Snopy somehow managed to maintain his balance enough to stay on his feet. His side now right arm hurt, and his left side hurt. However, pain caused by impact was generally less acute than that caused by a slice. Snopy figured that at the moment it was still little enough to ignore without problem, though he wasn't sure if his left side was okay. Either way he took a moment to regain his balance and Shunpo'd forward again. He swung down, aiming to hit Logan's right shoulder. He followed up by Shunpo'ing behind Logan and aiming a Byakurai at his left shoulder. Hadō #4, Byakurai. He shot it out, hoping to cause some damage and possibly render that arm out of commission if he could. After the beam shot out, he brought his sword forward and went for Logan's back, hoping to create a diagonal gash across it. A good hit was something he needed. He swung with all his strength and speed in hopes of landing a strike. As this happened, his right hand was free, what it would do if Logan counter attacked remained to be seen.

Although Logan wasn't expecting Snopy to attack his shoulder with the hilt instead of the blade, it didn't do much of a difference on that end. It had thrown him for a loop for a second, but here merely moved his shoulder out of the way by stepping backwards. In the end, this was a bad idea, because Snopy was already behind him and had shot another Kidō towards his shoulder. Logan braced for impact, because that was what it was going to be. The Byakurai slammed into his shoulder. Luckily it wasn't in a position to go straight through it, but it did scorch the flesh and tear the fabric that covered it. Logan winced and clenched his jaw shut. Snopy wasn't done. He went to slice diagonally down his back. Logan knew it would be bad if this hit, and in truth couldn't allow it. He swung his right arm backwards rather fast and brought the blade of his Zanpakutō between him and his opponents blade, blocking it. Logan's Zanpakutō was at least a foot longer than a normal Katana. It was still easy for him to swing, but it obviously had a much greater range.

Taking his chance, Logan pushed himself from the ground in a spinning motion, swinging his left leg around towards Snopy's side. Still, he was only using three fourths of his actual speed and strength, but that was still a pretty good amount in this situation. Once the kick was moved through, he would land and raise his Zanpakutō, bringing it around in a horizontal swing. Snopy was at rather close range at this point, so blocking or countering would probably be the best bet. Dodging a blade as long as this one would prove difficult. Logan immediately pushed into another attack towards him as well, turning the blade around to swing it backwards towards Snopy, aiming for practically the same spot. The spot he was aiming for was right across the middle of his chest in both swings of his sword.

Snopy had landed a hit, so there was one success. However, it would likely be nullified if he took damage greater than that which was dealt. Snopy had to be at the top of his guard to get out of this one. Snopy took a risk on this one, he simply braced for the kick and took it. Logan's leg slammed into his side and Snopy had to stop himself from screaming a bit. It hurt like hell, especially seeing as that side had already taken a hit, multiplying the pain further. But Snopy knew the worse hits were coming. He wanted to win, and was going to do whatever it took. Despite the pain, Snopy fought through it. As soon as Snopy saw Logan's Zanpakutō move the slightest bit, he made his move.

Snopy immediately tossed his sword to his right hand and raised the back of his hand up. Bakudo #8, Seki. A small blue orb formed on the back of Snopy's left hand. It was just in time too, as Logan's blade was less than a second away from cutting Snopy open. The blade was deflected back. Due to Logan's strength it only stopped him for a little bit, but it was enough. Snopy quickly took a deep breath and prepared for the pain he was about to feel in his side. Before Logan had a chance to recover Snopy moved his hand in a triangular formation. Three pins of light formed at the corners of the equilateral triangle. Bakudo #30, Shitotsu Sansen. The pins shot out quickly and with some force. Logan was extremely close. He still could dodge them, though it would be difficult due to the speed at which they launched. Should it hit, Logan would be pinned at the shoulders and the lower body.

There was a wall behind Logan so he would likely be pinned to it should the attack hit. This would be beneficial as if Logan slammed into the wall with that, seeing as his shoulder was already injured. The pain may make it a bit harder to break out of the Kidō, this is what Snopy hoped. Hadō #33, Sokatsui. Should Logan have been pinned to the wall, he would fire the spell at him there. It would be a hit if Logan didn't find a way out of it. However if Logan hadn't been hit, he would simply attack Logan at whatever his present location was. As the attacks finished, Snopy was breathing a little heavily. He still had some energy to spare, but he wasn't used to firing that many spells off in such a short period. To top it off, even if he's only been kicked so far, it hurt quite a bit and still did some damage. If nothing else, this spar would improve his stamina just a bit. Yet Snopy was resolute, he would fight to win until he was unable to fight anymore.

"HEY, you look kinda tired!" As Snopy stood panting he heard Kiyomi's voice, back to its usual pep somehow. He was a little upset, he was really giving it his all and he did not want to be distracted. Please Kiyomi, I am trying to focus. He kept looking at Logan (wherever he is at this point) as he responded. "Come on, you might be winning you know." You know, I doubt that now please let me focus. He blocked out her laughter in the background as he kept his eyes locked on Logan. the damage in Snopy's left side hurt, he was tiring, and Logan had a larger pool of energy to work with. His odds were slim enough as it is.

Logan was not expecting his blade to be deflected in such a manner at all. As his blade was deflected, it caused him to actually be pushed back and lose his balance just a bit. Before he was able to regain his balance, another Kidō was cast rather quickly. His eyes parted just a bit in surprise as three shots of binding Kidō slammed into his body. He was pushed back a good teen feet to a wall and pinned. He clenched his jaw rather tightly as the pain in his left arm increased upon impact. "YOU IDIOT! BUST THE WALL!" his focus on keeping her back was shot. "I can't believe I have to coach you in a spar!" Seeing that yet another Kidō was coming, he had to break out of this quickly. He could not be hit directly by another Kidō and he knew that. It would cause way too much damage. He heard Snopy call out for a Sokatsui and his eyes widened. Such a powerful spell for even when he is pinned?! He only had a short moment to think of something. "NOW MOVE!" Akira seemed to demand of him.

Logan may have been pinned but this Kidō did not paralyze. The wall behind him was toast. He slammed his fist into and immediately it came down in crumbles, allowing his movement and just in time. He darted off to the right, but still ended up getting hit. His entire left side was engulfed by the Sokatsui and burned badly as he still pulled himself out of it. Falling to one knee, he looked over to his arm and up to Snopy. "That almost got you. Stop going easy on him, you twit!" Akira demanded. "I'm not..." Logan told her and immediately she was shut up again. Logan was not going easy on Snopy. The man was just extremely smart and had one hell of a plan up his sleeve. Well now Logan's left arm was completely useless. He was in pain, but he could deal with it. He knew he still had his Shikai to use, but that wasn't going to happen. He was here to help Snopy get stronger, and using his shikai would make this match slightly pointless.

Logan turned his head towards Snopy and watched as the two of them exchanged words with one another. He glanced back and forth between the two and then sighed. Seeing that Snopy turned his attention back to the fight, Logan decided to try something he had not tried in a rather long time. His left arm being useless and most of his left side and chest being scorched from the Sokatsui, he figured that Kidō might not have been a bad idea up against this guy. "Hadō... thirty three, Sokatsui." Logan raised his right hand and faced it straight towards Snopy. He shot it out at ten feet tall and ten foot wide, and being only teen foot away, it might be a bit of a challenge to dodge it. Kidō was never Logan's thing, so he rarely used it. He knew it would probably shock Snopy that he even knew any. "Changing his hands stance from being completely open, he pointed towards Snopy in a familiar fashion. "Hadō four, Byakurai." and there went another Kidō, aiming right towards Snopy's midsection.

Snopy kept his focus as best he could. The pain was immense, he only hoped it didn't slow him down too much. Then Snopy heard something he never thought Logan would say. The very moment he heard the word Hadō, Snopy immediately perked up. Even if Logan wasn't the best at Kidō, Captain level strength was nothing to scoff at. He reacted before Logan even finished his words. First he kneel'd down on the ground and made his body as compact as possible. Next, he put his hands out in front of him. Bakudo #37, Enkosen! It wasn't quite a panic, but Snopy was stepping it up. He mustered up some energy to build up an Enkosen in an instant and braced it with all the energy he could muster. He knew just how bad Kidō had hurt, he was on both the giving and receiving end of Kidō before.

The blast shot out at him and he put everything he could into the shield. The blast pounded against the shield, but due to his compact state, he was able to avoid the energy that went around. As the blast dissipated, so did the shield, which shattered at the last moment, causing a tiny bit of the blast to strike Snopy's right arm. The arm still hurt a bit from an earlier hit, so this only added to the pain. Then he heard the word Hadō again, but Snopy was tired. Get up. Damn it get up. Get up get up get up get up. I am not done yet, get up! He mustered together everything he had and got back on his feet, running to the side as the Byakurai came at him. He dodged it mostly, but it struck into his left arm and he gritted his teeth in pain. In truth, he knew he would be hit in the arm. However, he specifically chose a direction that wouldn't cause further damage to an already injured body part (his right arm). At this point it may have been all or nothing. He had done what he could to ignore it, but the pain was becoming hard to bear, this was his last chance before the pain became unbearable.

He raised his sword up, this was his last attack. He focused every last ounce of energy his body had. A purple aura began to envelope him. To a point it was surprising, Snopy wasn't aware he had enough energy left in his body to do that. Snopy Shunpo'd forward straight in front of Logan as fast as his power would carry him. He swung wide differently though, he swung from right to left this time. With Logan's left arm out of commission he would have no way to block with said arm. As soon as he finished the swing he raised his right hand up to Logan's chest. He initiated it as quickly as he could. Bakudo #9, Geki. This was the clincher. He put most of his power into the Geki, and if it worked Logan would be immobilized. If that happened, he could get one final clean hit on Logan's body. If not, then Snopy had just wasted the last of his energy. Whether or not the Geki worked, Snopy went in for that one final full power slash. Win or lose, this was the end.
