The Saika, the Kidō, and the humorless Squad 4 Vice-Captain [closed]

Rather blunt, aren't we? He spoke as he jumped to the side when he saw her raise her finger. He got out of the way of the blast rather easily, seeing as it was somewhat predictable. As his feet landed back on the ground he slid a few feet before stopping. He Shunpo'd a short ways closer and prepared a spell. Sphere of power, form in my hand. Feel the call of thunder. In is open palm, a sphere of electricity had formed. He pulled back his hand and threw the sphere at a high velocity. Hadō 7, Denki-dama. Once it hit an object, it would create a small electric explosion with a radius of 3 feet. Snopy wasn't finished yet. He had thrown the orb to Kanna's right side to force her to move to the left to dodge.

After observing her Shunpo from when she had punched him, as well as her attitude and various actions, he had ascertained where she would likely move to. He pointed a ways to the left of her. Pierce their soul and tear their flesh. Hadō #3, Piercing Shot. Had she moved as anticipated, she would likely be unprepared for the attack. He waited and watched, prepared for her. She was a Vice Captain, so he would simply have to keep his guard up.

Kanna had completely expected him to dodge her Byakurai. She just wanted to get him moving, and that was a success. She wasn't one to sit around and talk when she had been given orders to train someone. Hearing him begin an incantation that she had memorized fully, she watched as it formed in his hand and he threw it. She moved like she normally would have and moved slightly to the left, pushing the right side of her body backwards to where her left shoulder was forwards and she was standing sideways. The sphere of electrical energy moved passed her body and hit the ground a good ten feet behind her. As it exploded, she heard another incantation being said and watched his movements.

Wondering why exactly he hesitated in casting it immediately. She noticed that he was watching her movements, and raised her hand in front of her body, only two fingers facing outwards towards him, "Hadō Number Four, Byakurai." Once the Kidō was cast, just like before, a burst of lightning shot forward towards him. Obviously, she enjoyed using this Hadō more than others. It was nice, effective, and wasn't so high of a number that it would easily drain her spiritual pressure, allowing her to continue for a long while.

Kanna hadn't moved quite as expected, but Snopy was prepared. He knew she wouldn't necessarily dodge as he had predicted, it just had the highest probability. At this point Snopy was used to facing opponents much stronger than himself. It was only his above average intelligence and his keen perception that allowed him to fight back and actually land hits. Though he figured this would be a little easier seeing as some of his other opponents were much more powerful (I'm looking at YOU JJ, not that you're reading this).

Creative aren't we? Snopy slid out of the way once more. Snopy had been in more than enough fights to read simple movements like this. Well, since you seem to like Byakurai so much. As Snopy dodged he raised his finger. Hadō #4, Byakurai. He fired the beam straight at her, not really expecting it to hit. Naturally, with a Byakurai coming at her she would have to do something about it. While she dealt with it, Snopy used it as an opportune moment for his next move. Bakudo #4, Hainawa. Hopefully the distraction with the Byakurai would be enough to ensnare her in the Bakudo. Should the Hainawa ensnare her, Snopy had another Byakurai in store for her. If not, he would have to prepare for a counter attack.

Note: If the Hainawa works, then he did indeed fire another Byakurai. If not, then he won't fire a Byakurai.

Kanna shunpo'd off to the right as a Byakurai was shot towards her. Reappearing about teen feet to the left, she saw that a Hainawa was also being shot towards her. She once again shunpo'd out of the way of his Kidō, but this time reappeared behind him. She raised her arm, her palm now being the one facing his back if he had not already turned around to look at her. She was currently standing a mere six feet away from him at the moment, and quickly moved into calling forth her next Kidō.

"Hadō number thirty three, Sokatsui." she said rather clearly. The moment the Kidō was cast, a blue burst of fire shot out from her hand and towards practically his entire body. It came out at six foot wide and six foot tall, shooting forth at a high speed. Closing her palm, she moved off to the side to see what have become of Snopy. She was already raising her her right hand again, her two fingers pointing outwards as she was ready for yet another attack. At this point in the fight, she wanted him to be able to increase, not only his speed, but his ability to use shunpo as well.

As Kanna Shunpo'd behind him he could feel her presence. When he heard her shout the spell he immediately to get out of the way. A Sokatsui Blast? I think she might actually be trying to kill me. Snopy knew Shunpo was his best shot so he placed all his energy into it and dashed for the side. He stopped a little ways outside of the spell radius. Whew, a little close for comfort. I have to say I'm imp- Byakurai! Suddenly out of nowhere he lifted the hand he casually had at his side and fired off a Byakurai straight at her.

Next he Shunpo'd to the side. Byakurai. He fired off yet another beam at her, wherever she had been after the first one. Snopy Shunpo'd once more to another angle. However, he had brought himself closer while he attacked her with the Kidō. He was rather close now. Byakurai. At extremely close range he fired off a final Byakurai straight at her. At this point he had stopped caring if it hit, but he was going to try and make it hit.

Finally it had been done. She got him to understand how serious she was about increasing more than just his Kidō ability. Her way of doing it: Making him move. She expected a lot out of her first student, and wanted him to be the best. Whether she trusted him was a completely different story. If she was going to train someone, she was going to go all out. Proud of the fact that she had gotten him to move, she smirked only slightly, probably showing the first amount of positive emotion she had. In the middle of his speech, she assumed that his strategy was to surprise her with a Byakurai. A good strategy, but it wasn't going to be something that easily worked on her. She shunpo'd off to the side, only to have another one be shot out towards her.

"Hadō Four, Byakurai." She copied the Kidō had had decided to use and shot another one out from the tips of her two fingers on her right hand. Instead of aiming it at him, she shot it at his Byakurai and stopped it, a small explosion at the connection being the result. And then, yet another Byakurai was shot towards her, but this time he was much closer. Moving forward with shunpo, instead of back, she ducked herself slightly under his hand and raised her right hand, pushing it upwards and away from her. The result of this would be that the Kidō was shot of into the air.

Also, at the same time as doing this, she held out the palm of her hand towards his gut. She hesitated for maybe a half a second to give him a decent time to react, but that was not long at all. She wanted him faster, she was going to get it, even if she had to scare the living shit out of him. "Hadō thirty three, Sokatsui." Just like before, the same size, the same speed, and the same power, a blue burst of energy shot from the palm of her hand towards his gut. Now she only waited to see exactly how he would get out of this one.

Feeling his her arm grab his, his hand was shoved up and his blast went into the horizon. This seems a little too close for comfort. That was Snopy's thought as she stood just in front of him. He though his eyes were on her face, he could sense her Reiatsu. Using that, he felt her hand move to his gut. Perhaps it would be best if I dodged. His reaction time certainly wasn't enough to push her hand out of the way. His body just didn't yet have the physical requirements to move that fast. Snopy though smiled a bit. He remembered his training back at the oasis, where he did a hell of a lot of Hoho training. In fact, the entire time he just Shunpo'd til he dropped. He placed faith in the improvements he must have made from the training and kicked it into overdrive. He put as much energy as he could into it and Shunpo'd to the side once more. He had ended up about 8 feet away from Kanna. As the blast flew by, he could feel it clipped his arm a bit. A little bit of blood tricked down and the side of his sleeve was blown off. Well this will only get in the way. Snopy grabbed the remnants of the torn sleeve and tore off the rest., leaving his left arm sleeveless.

Though there was blood on it it was far too little to be of any concern, not in training anyway. Surprisingly enough he had remained mostly unscathed up to this point. He laughed a bit. This was a rather odd way to react to his arm being knocked open. He had no intentions of being killed by one of his own allies. That was an indignity he didn't want to suffer through the first time it happened, though this time it would've been an accident. Shield me, protect me, from the reality of what is in front of me. Bakudo #7, Gyokuseki o Hogo. In front of him he erected a barrier that would offer him some protection. He stepped back, and simply waited for a moment. She would have to bust down the barrier or go around it to get to him. It was small considering the barrier was 5ft by 5ft, but that delay was all he wanted. The offense usually had the disadvantage, so he decided to test his odds on defense.

Kanna was pleased with his reaction, although she kept it hidden. He had moved off to the left and she only turned to him with her usual serious demeanor. She had no problem with giving him some time to rip the burnt parts of his shirt. In fact, for the moment she wasn't attacking because she was actually ready to stop and discuss a few things. Obviously, he was not. The moment he began uttering yet another incantation, but this time for a shield, she decided against stopping. She waited for the shield to come up and raised up her right arm, pointing the usual fingers towards him.

"Hadō Number Four, Byakurai." She said the words and the same attack that seemed to be her favorite was used. A blue string of powerful lightning shot out from her fingertips and straight towards his shield. The power of this Byakurai was the same as it usually was, no stronger, no less. She just wanted to see exactly how long he could hold up the shield. This Byakurai of hers could last up to three seconds and once it was done, she would hold out the palm of her hand, waiting to see exactly what had already happened to the shield. If it broke, she would cease her attacks, but if it had not, she would move on to yet another Hadō.

Snopy watched as she slowly pointed to the shield. Here we go again. He held up his hand and began to reinforce the energy of the shield. He wasn't sure about how well it would maintain if he didn't attend to it. Some people could just ignore it and it would hold, he however, was not yet one of those people. As he braced the shield he saw the Byakurai come flying at it. He braced for impact as it pounded against the shield. As it struck against the shield, he felt the shield wanting to give in, but Snopy refused to let it. After three seconds had past the shield was still up.

Part of him was surprised, part of him wasn't. He knew the shield would fall on its own shortly. If another blast was to strike it it would probably shatter in an instant. He had a very bad feeling he would have to dodge a blast that would instantly destroy and advance past his shield. He braced it up either way. He was just ready to jump out of the way if the need arose. And considering she raised the palm of her hand, he had a feeling he knew what was coming next.

"Hadō Number Thirty One, Shakkaho." with the mention of these words, a red ball of energy formed in front of her palm. It shot forward rather quickly towards the shield, aiming to slam strongly into it. At this point, she assumed that Snopy was probably getting slightly tired from fending off as much Kidō as she had just thrown at him. She dropped her arm to her side, and this time she did not continue striking. Taking in a deep breath, she relaxed a bit and then closed her eyes. She was happy with what he had shown her, and in some areas rather impressed with his skill.

"You have done very well. You skill is impressive, and that last shunpo of yours... I am glad you came up with the speed to do it. If not, that Sokatsui would have damaged your body immensely. Good job, Snopy." That was probably the first time she had ever said his name, or even acknowledged the fact that she knew it. It didn't mean anything between the two of them were different. It really just meant that she accepted him as a Shinigami, and hopefully one day soon, equal to her own power within Kidō.
