Journey to the Settlement
Sat Jun 02, 2012 8:59 am
ere was a place he'd not heard about to much till recently, deciding to pay a visit from the Seireitei. He wanted to learn, this pry one of the things that made him different from normal people, he desired knowledge on things. Yes that could sometime make smart people do dumb things, but Kaede never did see it in such a way. It was always smart to seek out knowledge that was within arms length, never seek out things that were beyond your understanding.
In short what this meant was simply, that the user shouldn't waste their time going for something that will just make everyone furious with them. But this aside, his journey continued and he looked around as he arrived at the settlement. This place was far different from where Kaede was raised, their was people who didn't fully understand Inuzuri if they tried during Kaede's day in that place.
They would most likely see it as a hell on earth, living in the dirt and just fending for yourself well. As Kaede said everyone had a sob story and that was his, no complaining or whining about a past that couldn't be helped. The future was all that mattered, his was the goal to become stronger, grant it the work he put into this feat was something he never really considered anything but just that.
Work that was needed, had his thoughts captured him to deeply, sometimes we get lost in the past Kaede said. His eyes examining this settlement from the center of it. Not quite sure of what this place was, he'd heard they broke away from Rukongai for something different. But only time would tell how different they were, like most Squad members he never left his sword behind.

Madness of its own accord...
F-Flightwire... what are we doing here...? The meek vizard asked of his inner hollow, glancing to his left and right with a small worried frown on his face. He had the day off today, and Nathan was wondering just what he was going to do on this lazy sunday morning. Most of the people of this settlement were still asleep, and wouldn't be up for a number of hours. FOOLS! Nathan nearly yelled out loud, before smacking himself on the head and mentally apologizing to the village. Nathan... wasn't quite all right in the head. In fact, he's 10% insane... but that's a story for another day.
As it was, Nathan managed to find someone in the place. However... A-A shinigami...? Nathan thought to himself, his eyes wide as he stopped walking, standing directly in front of the man. Nathan's wings were firmly on his back as he thought about what to do. After all, he was a member of the Monsuta; a group of not-so-nice vizards who hated the seireitei. "My name's Nathan Washi." He said simply introducing himself hesitantly. As it was, Nathan decided it would be best if he just extended his hand and tried to-
Nope.
His inner hollow, Flightwire said simply, as out of Nathan's very-long sleeve... a stick of dynamite shot out. It sailed right at the man before Nathan, and as it reached the shinigami, the fuse reached the base of the stick. With a loud boom, it was off; the explosion going ten feet in every direction from the stick.
"Flightwire!" Nathan exclaimed as he leaped back, grabbing onto his sword hilt with a scared look in his eyes, certain that his hollow had just driven the pair of them into a fight...

ow that was a hell of a greeting, he saw the object flying towards him and assumed this was one dangerous freaking object. His form used a shunpo to escape it, arriving behind the cloud holding a hand on his katana for the moment. Before drawing it, this was a strange welcome. Why had that boy shot a stick of dynamite at him, he'd looked scared afterwards he thought he saw that look anyways. Kaede wasn't up to date on the bad guys or good guys. So this was one of those strange things that made no sense what so ever.
He wasn't sure what he'd have to do here, but this would require a bit of timing if this kid was an explosive expert. Was it wrong to say he wanted to get out of here because a feeling of discomfort at this location now. Great thing to report to the Captain, first time here he ran into a psychotic Coyote meet Road Runner boy. Well he'd not had the time to slice that little fuse it was just too late. This way he could retreated and regroup.
Regroup what a strange word to use, run like hell with your tail between your legs. This was simply getting out of hand, he heard a voice in his head yell fight. Another said are you stupid, he just shot an explosive at you. Run, several voices. He finally said something in response.
"Shut Up."
That was his answer to the many thoughts, his eyes narrowed slightly as he gazed at the gift giver of the exploding party favor. He evaluated the position he obtained with his shunpo, he'd arrived just behind the blast a safe distance from everything. About a ten meter distance from the exploding boy, not what he needed.

Madness of its own accord...
Nathan. Let me take control. But... but... Just DO it! Alright! Fine! The two determined in Nathan's head, as Nathan's right hand rose up to his face. The vizard grabbed his hairline, before pulling down, producing a vizard mask. However, this was no ordinary mask; Nathan's real eyes behind the mask looked exactly the same as before. His scelera did not turn black, as most vizard's did when they drew their masks.
As it was, Nathan gave out a deep, throaty laugh unlike his normal. "Oi, oi oi! Shinigami! Why you tellin' Nathan to shut up, huh? I'll learn you!" The hollow said through Nathan's mouth; he was truly in control of the body. Nathan was merely watching as Flightwire, using Nathan's body, suddenly vanished, reappearing behind Kaede. "Not to mention; you didn't even give us the courtesy of your name!" The hollow said with a smile as he turned his head around, his arms uncrossing in front of his chest as he stood up straight; he had reappeared crouched.
He watched as the five pieces of dynamite exploded; all around the Shinigami. However, that wasn't all, as Flightwire threw Nathan's arms to their opposite sides, causing four small sticks of dynamite to fly up into each hand. He then threw out the hands, as the dynamite flew out... and the bottoms exploded, acting like mini rockets as it turned the path of all eight of them directly at the shinigami.
Then, Nathan's right foot kicked out, as three small, black disks flew out, landing near where the Shinigami now was. Flightwire, smiling through Nathan's mouth behind the mask, snapped the fingers in Nathan's right hand... as the final stick of dynamite that he had thrown up in his first disappearance slammed down onto the ground around the three disks and Kaede, the fuse running out, as the chain explosion of the three disks went of, blowing up ground around it and making a good-sized crater.
"Don't mess with my host, now! At least for now, I'll be your opponent!" The hollow announced, raising Nathan's right hand and waving its pointer finger at Kaede, his left eye closed mockingly as he taunted the shinigami...

"I am Kaede Ichiro, I was quieting my voices." He responded as he vanished, beginning to mumble under his breath slight whispers. Pry sounded like madness to the untrained ear, he was avoiding the dynamite by using shunpo but closing the gap quickly, his sword hand was brought up while his other hand seemed busy at the moment, though what he was doing was odd. He moved in bringing his sword down at a vertical angle at the target.
This was done after dodging all those blasted explosives, this creature was so busy gloating maybe it didn't know he was coming in to say hello. Well only thing was he couldn't quite avoid them all, his back had been burned and it stinging and other such wonderful things that came with the wound. It had pry lowered the pointer and gotten ready, well this was an interesting turn of events none the less. His gaze never faltered from the male, obviously the voices were right. Death was the answer for this one, though Kaede wouldn't just kill him for something like this. He seemed utterly unwilling to do the task.
As he'd gotten closer the end of his muttering and almost whispers could pry be somewhat made out if the vizard was paying attention. But by now he was about finished and starting his next little muttering session, doing two things at the same time was a rather tiring little task. But he'd have to manage to stay alive and not be blown into little bitty bits. Though a small recap of his sword coming down from his right hand towards the creatures chest. Blocking was still a possible outcome.

"VoicES? Geez, you got more problems than Nathan does then!" Flightwire replied, scratching the back of Nathan's head with Nathan's right hand as he watched the man come towards them, scratching the back of his head. He was satisfied that at least one of the bombs hit; if they hadn't, he would have been SEVERELY worried. As it was, Nathan's lips merely smiled as he continued to hear the man muttering. He caught something about a pointer; he hadn't a clue what that was about in any way.
He watched with interest as the man's blade shot towards him. "Whoopsie daisy!" The hollow said joyfully as it pulled Nathan's zanpaktou out of his sheathe, swinging the shark-like blade upwards as the spiked-curve within its hilt caught onto the sword. Flightwire could feel that on Nathan's left pectoral, an impact had occured, before he could block it fully; however, interestingly enough, there was nothing more than a bruise there.
"Ah yes, Kaede Ichiro!" The hollow announced as it pulled on the blade, twisting its wrist and moving to the side as to deflect it from Nathan's body, as the latter took a leap back. "You should be... MUCH more careful where you stand!" The hollow announced as in its left hand appeared a simple lighter; Flightwire flipping the top off.
The hollow brought up the right arm, as gunpowder suddenly spurted upwards from the sleeve. All along where Flightwire had leaped back, there was a long trail... of gunpowder, all leading exactly to where Kaede had made his strike. The Hollow bent Nathan's spine, placing the lighter out on the gunpowder falling to the ground. Flightwire didn't even wince as he lit the lighter, the gunpowder turning alight and very lightly scorching Nathan's arm.
As it was, the gunpowder raced right for Kaede... and the twelve different explosives that Flightwire had purposely dropped on the ground before leaving. There was a very loud explosion as a large crater formed where Keade used to stand; the walls on the buildings on either side completely blown in.
"TRY HARDER, MAGGOT!" The hollow roared at his opponent. F-F-Flightwire...! There's no reason to call him that...! But he's a wimp! He could only make a single slash! Still... Flightwire... Nathan thought within his mind, sighing mentally in exasperation, as the pair waited to see Kaede emerge from the smoke. There was little chance that he had gotten out unscathed; however, he would most likely be driven to further action from this...

So it happened at last, he felt the sword get stuck. Raising the free arm, a slight grin upon his lips, he'd finished the incantation of course for what he'd been hoping for. Though this wasn't done with simply no effort, it had certainly come at a price of his back getting hurt. That wasn't something he'd desired int he slightest. Whispering softly as an orange glow came from his left hand's index fingers, firing a rope out that tried to wrap around the form of the hollow before the next action took place, he'd been muttering the incantation though he didn't really expect him to under stand it fully.
"Bakudo Number Nine, Horin."
The rope that shot around his frame quickly before anything else was really going to happen, Kaede winced as he held the rope still to his index and middle digits. Speaking softly now, breathing a little heavily. That had taken a bit more energy than predicted, however with the locking of the sword he'd even gone as far to do this on purpose.
"I've only been dead for a bit, so not exactly sure what you are or why you attacked me..though if this is your home I do apologize for trespassing . I was only curious I heard about a place different from Inuzuri so thought I would take a look. But it seems I've come where I am not really wanted." Kaede said the words calmly, though it was clear his injury did bother him.
Locking his blade up had been part of the plan, this rope was simply a way of holding the hollow till it calmed itself down, he had no interest in spilling blood today even though it had struck a wound on his own body. Yes this creature was interesting enough, he wouldn't kill it unless it continued to fight.

Madness of its own accord...
Flightwire watched with interested eyes as the rope shot around him. Heh... he still hasn't realized it yet then. The hollow thought to itself as it glanced towards the ground, the rope around his arms and the bombs still all around the shinigami.
"No, this ain't my home. Hell, the only reason I'm attacking you is because you're a shinigami in a haori with the Gotei! I'mma member of the monsuta; while maybe not a very evil one, I'm still going to beat you as it's my job to!" He said, as the bottom part of the mask fell off of his face... revealing a smiling mouth that was touching both ends of the top part of the mask.
"EAT THIS!"
He announced loudly, as he bent back his head and thrust it forwards. This one, simple action, Nathan's long, bound by rope hair shifting, was the cataylst for the reaction that was about to occur as from Nathan's mouth shot a small ball... of fire, like a firework. This firework shot forwards quite quickly, aimed right for the pile of gunpowder and the explosives below, before-
Shikai! Nathan yelled in his mind, his entire body beginning to change as his clothes shifted, becoming a cloak around his form, his hair shortening, out of the ropes range, and his wings becoming fuller as they suddenly fought against the bonds around it. As this happened, the huge amounts of gunpowder around Nathan himself became lit, and the entire square was exploded in the size of a large house, compeltely enveloping the area in smoke, fire, and explosions that threw Nathan back by the sheer amount of force it had.
However, Nathan spread his wings out, hovering before standing down a few feet away from the blast. However, despite being surrounded by the gunpowder, there was definitely something of note here...
And that was Nathan's complete lack of any burns or bruises on his body...

Shit time was short, he shunpo himself into the air, yet keeping a grip on the Bakudo going high enough the rope extending as he went upwards. He glanced down, this wasn't going to be much fun was it. This guy had several powers that far surpassed his, well really he was just a trainee without any shikai or such power to go to. That was the way it worked, he expected the creature to bite the bullet. But shockingly it was simply fine, but this place was utter hell. His gaze looks down and over the area, his surprise was that the boy had grown wings.
So this wasn't a simple misunderstanding, fine it seemed evident that he would be fighting to kill from here on out. His gaze narrowed, well perhaps wound maybe his only goal. He'd taken a bit of damage again on his foot, slowly his sword began glowing he was getting ready to fight for real. If the boy broke the Kidō he would see a version of Kaede that was rarely seen, not many knew this but Kaede carried a Wakazashi with him. The weapon was only used in emergencies, few new this but his sword could fire off different Kidō. They were low level Hadō mainly, but they still did the trick.

Madness of its own accord...
Flightwire merely adjusted his gaze as he looked up through Nathan's eyes, looking directly at the man now above their head. "What? You didn't see our wings before? They're a natural part of Nathan's body! Talk about unobservant." He said out loud, laughing once more as he looked at the man who stood above him.
"HERE WE COME!" Flightwire said loudly through Nathan's open mouth as he pushed down on the ground, swinging down with his wings and shooting him up into the air, the ropes completely broken off by this point. The blade in his right hand shot out as he passed right by Kaede, as he would finally see the effect of the Madness Style. Only 1/10 of the blade's movements were able to be seen by the eye as Nathan's right arm whipped it past Kaede, aiming to hit him vertically. So he's got wounds on his back and his foot, right...? Yeah, but don't kill him...! He didn't do anything wrong...! If he gets killed, too bad, it's his problem. But-
Nathan's speech was cut off as suddenly Flightwire spun the two of them in midair with a flap of his wings, grabbing the blade with both hands as he brought the wings in, doing a midair-spin and bringing down the blade at Kaede's head, a few feet above him. Then Flightwire turned their body's weight, flapping his wings once more as he shot over to the side of Kaede, flapping his wings just so that he spun horizontally this time as opposed to the vertical he had done last time; the Madness Style was still in effect as Flightwire brought the blade back around to front, grabbing it with both hands once more as he brought it down, from Kaede's right shoulder go his left side, before taking a small leap back and snapping his fingers.
"Deadly Sky Explosion Net!"
Flightwire said clearly as the eight sticks of small dynamite he had dropped in his attacks exploded all around Kaede, effectively trapping him on several sides. Nathan's body moved so fast throughout this process that there was a good chance the shingami could lose track of him; however, Flightwire figured that he'd be able to keep up with the swordsmanship, at least for the most part. As for the dynamite, who knew; if the kid could take the swords and the TNT dropping, he could take very little damage. Honestly, Nathan, he's making this FAR too easy. What's he done? Thrown a bakudo and tried slashing at us ONCE? If he wants to live, he's GOTTA do more than that consecutively... Flightwire thought to himself, Nathan's head moving down and shaking back and forth, his arms crossed in front of his chest as he kept his body suspended in the air with his wings, waiting for Kaede...
