FINALLY an Element Thread.

Okay, I was given the go ahead here by Raiki to create this since its bugging me to no end that we don't have a thread in regards to elements, energies and the like.



Now, here's how I want to start.

Since the Nature Iramasha Exist, the elements they use have complete control over the element they are made of.

Say if.. maybe James was fighting Toshiro Hitsugaya? Toshiro's ice would be useless no? Yes~! Because Nature Trumps all Elements below them.

Now remember as I'm going here, I might be wrong about things but POINT THEM OUT NICELY! I will gladly change anything that has enough opinions against it.


Weakness Square of the Four Main elements:

Wind defeats Earth.
Earth defeats Water.
Water defeats Fire.
Fire defeats Wind.


The Types of Power:

We all know that there is a god send amount of Elements. This first edition to this thread will be in regards to the FOUR MAIN ELEMENTS. Earth, Fire, Wind and Water.



Earth is a extremely broad element when compared to all the other by default. Can be deemed, Earth, Rock, Sand, Magma(TBE), Mountain, Steel, Metal alongside many many others. Earth has weaknesses to it as well, but do remember when using the Earth Element, that if you specifically state Earth. Wind is your enemy in all forms.

Water can be dived into Mist, Ocean, Water, Ice, Rain, Fog and many others. Keep in mind that water, like earth, is a broad element.

Wind does not beat Earth

Magma(TBE), Mountain, Magma is more a combination Element, and Mountain is not a element

Mist, Ocean, Water, Ice, Rain, Fog, the only one of these that is a element is ice and it is more a combination element.

And Earth beating water is shaky. Cause water can turn earth to Mud, just think of it like Pokemon

Flame, Nature Iramasha are not automatically better than anyone else who uses that element. Also, Toshirou Hitsugaya has the strongest ice Zanpakutō, thus forth, he would probably be able to trump James in element control. Also, you cannot list elemental weaknesses. For example, my character Axel is a "fire" user, but his flames are so hot that they evaporate all water before it can hit him, so he is not weak to watter.

In my opinion this just over complicates things to be honest. Depending on how you use said elemental powers alongside your characters other abilities, it could easily change the tide in a Earth based battle of elements like the one you are trying to state in this post. For instance, depending on how strong a person is, sometimes they could just overpower certain elements. Say if a fire user who was on 1 tier was going up against a water user on a 2 tier level; in my view, they'd probably have the upper hand despite being water's natural target. In another situation, I could also see spiritually enhanced elements having more of an edge to them then others who generate natural elements.

Additionally, you also have to consider the fact we never had to do anything about element's as it really as I have yet to come across a problem with element based battles on the site in all it's two years on forumtion and five years on the other two forums. If you have a bit of common sense, it should be easy to figure your way around an elemental battle. Thusly, this whole thing is basically unneeded in my view as I'm focusing my attention on more greater powers in general in an upcoming staff meeting I am trying to have when we attempt to write some more definite rules about powers.

Moreover, if you are going to try and disagree with my view, I will want you to bring up some type source (meaning, posting a link and not just some random example) where there has been a problem with a person and elemental based powers as I have not heard of one on Platinum Hearts and thus do not see the need for this type of thing. James VS Hitsugaya could be up in the air as there is no strongest of any type of power on this site, save for the speed users; making the exception and not the rule. And so, I am disregarding canon based on the site's history of rewriting things such as that.

For the record; James wouldn't be able to so much as effect Toshirou's ice unless Toshirou has the ability to mess with James', as if I'm correct and the ice is made from his zanpaktou, then its special ice that isn't natural, and if James attempted to purify it for use would merely turn into energy.

And also, the thought that Nature>All is dead incorrect. For example, Blaze; a demon who is literally fire. Not to mention, we already have an element thread of sorts, although its not "THIS IS SUPER EFFECTIVE"; so… if this isn't needed, then it should probably be archived..


And also. -slaps Elendril with a paw- THE PHRASE IS THAT WATER MAKES UP 70% OF EARTH'S SURFACE. So, technically, I'd say water would be a much more valid element representation of H2O than ice is. That is all.
