❅:The Snow Kuchiki Reunites With The Frozen Betrayer:❅

THE ROYAL SNOW PRINCESS OF THE KUCHIKI! YOKO YURI KUCHIKI IS THE NAME ___________________________________________ | S T A R T P O S T | ----- It was a bright and sunny day within the confines of the Seireitei. Despite the fact that there was probability of a war looming over head, everyone seemed rather level headed. Most of the Shinigami were out doing their regular patrols, business deals were being made here and there, new recruits were seen being put in training exercises across all the different divisions that comprised the Gotei 13 and overall it seemed rather peaceful within all sections of The 13 Court Squads. Perhaps it was the spring time air that gave everyone this new found energy and robust for life today? Most likely. With the last thaw of winter being essentially phased out, it seemed everyone was finally ready to come out of their hibernation modes to awaken to the new found dawn. And, oddly enough, despite her element being the ice, snow and cold air; Yoko Yuri Kuchiki was seen hopping about her way into the 9th division with a cheerful hip to her step as she to was excited for the changing of seasons as at this point in time she could only foresee good things happening to her and everyone else around her with the changing of these seasons. "Haun, haun~! Time to check on Rihiku-kun!" Giggled the vibrant snow girl; jumping upon the gate that lead into the 9th division sections and stealthy landing on both of her feet with a mischievous, yet happy grin on her face. If one were able to see the young girl she would be seen standing at about five foot five. She was somewhat tall for a female, though that wasn't the peculiar thing about her appearance. The main things that stood out with this woman was the fact that she had a odd set of eyes. Each of them had rings in them while they iris's themselves tend to change between blue and yellow depending on rather or she is feeling naughty or nice. Although, once she realizes that her eye color has changed by looking into the mirror or seeing her reflection, Yoko can easily change them so people don't catch on to her ways. Apart from that, she was also seen having long flowing hair that started out white on the top, transitioned to a crystal like color somewhere around the mid section of her hair and the rest turns to black with a strange design on her hair that is usually seen in pictures she takes. Lastly, the final thing one would notice about this woman's appearance was that she had on a lengthy sky blue kimono that synced rather nicely together with both her hair style and a white scarf that had a pattern of black stripes which was wrapped rather closely around her neck. "I need to see what he is up today! He must be rather lonely and exhausted from being a Captain like Byakuya-Kun always is." She exclaimed; rubbing her face in between her knuckles and proceeding to jump from rooftop to rooftop at a rather swift speed when compared to most of the average leveled Shinigami around her; making it seem like all of her battle experience was starting to pay off. "I know he won't mind a little visit from me. At least...I HOPE he doesn't mind a little visit from me." Yoko proceeded to snicker a bit as she imagined The Captain of Squad 9 getting all royally pissed if she happened to catch him on a bad day like she has with Byakuya on certain days with her childish antics. "But let's hope that won't be the case today, hehehe!" With all her prancing around, however, she probably believed that Rihiku would be notified of her arrival based on that fact she saw multiple Shinigami of his squad pointing upwards at her as she dashed through all the obstacles in her way to make it to The Captain's Office of Squad 9. It didn't really phase her, however, based on the fact that she was of noble heritage of the Soul Society. To be more precise, Yoko was a Kuchiki and a rather strong one at that. At her current level, if the current Vice Captain of her Squad, Division 6, were to die today; she would most likely end up taking his place as she has enough power to nearly rival a beginning Captain-Class level Shinigami. Not only that, though, but with her relationship even started in the first place with The Captain of Squad 9? On the battlefield. It's hard to believe that it had been two years since their first encounter with each other where Yoko had been relaxing in Fuma Park with two friends; Shirou Emiya and Senorn Iramasha, before Rihiku had decided to launch an attack on all three them at once. Thus, realizing he was on The Espada's side at the time and being a betrayer of the Soul Society, Yoko Kuchiki and friends decided to take him down and do their best to put a stop his crimes before any innocent civilians could get hurt, stalling out until back-up arrived and not letting this felon get away from them. It was a rough battle that really tested the endurance level of the brave Kuchiki, but through the flames and ice, she was able to eventually prevail as through all her might she was finally able to shatter through veil of ice around Rihiku's heart to awaken his true self. Once that part of The Frozen Betrayer was shown to Yoko, she felt a strange sense of warmth, compassion and love for the man to the point where after he was taken into the Gotei 13's custody; she had crafted a plan to one day free him from his icy prison and show him the light of a new and free day together with her. Thus, when the events of Londons had began occurring all over Earth, Yoko decided to take advantage of the chaos happening in order to help fulfill her promise she gave to this man. And so, acting on her own, she proceeded to free Rihiku from his prison by handing him his Zanputko that she was able to take from him during their encounter on the battlefield all those months ago with the condition he must fight alongside her in the wars occurring across Earth to prove to the Gotei 13 he was worth saving. And by some hell of a miracle, Rihiku, for some reason or another, accepted her offer to do battle on the side of justice with the hope of a new future in both of their minds; hoping that this would redeem his shattered reputation amongst the dirty deeds he's done in his time. And as a result, the icy pair would smash head first directly into the hellish battle area that was Cairo. The duo would go on to fight side by side in order to make a major difference in this city in the midst of a demonic revolution. Recording each second of Rihiku's glory, Yoko would pray to the almighty gods above her that this proof of The Frozen Betrayer's change would be enough to free him the chains of his sorrow given to him by his prison. Therefore, when all was said and done, each of them reported directly back to Squad 1 to undergo a serious meeting with the 1st Division leader of the time, Jenna Jade Walters. There were possible crimes of treason, invasion of Gotei 13 property, recklessness, aiding a felon and many other broken laws Yoko could probably face for the actions she choose to take during that faithful day; but she showed no fear and stared Jenna Jade Walters, Toshiro Hitsugaya and even Byakuya Kuchiki down to prove Rihiku's case. Through her will, it was made possible that both Rihiku and Yoko would keep their freedom's in edition to being pardoned of their crimes for the time being on the condition that they investigate what was going on with Volhis at the time. They were never ever able to find much information in regards to the Demon Lord, but it was enough to eventually promote Rihikku to where he was today...as Captain of Squad 9. It is a very long and drawn out story between Yoko and Rihiku, but she is very glad things are where they ended up today. So, with a msile on her face, she was seen finally emerging on top of a rooftop that overlooked The Captain's Office of Division 9. "I've finally made it, Rihiku-Kun!" Shouted Yoko; putting both of her hands together on each side of her mouth to have her voice carry into his office. Grinning with sheer glee at this point, she would then proceed to jump off the rooftop and land directly in front of the door's which would lead into the office of The New Frozen Captain. What would his reaction be to her arrival? Yoko wasn't entirely sure, but she knew it couldn't help to try. So with a loud knock, Yoko would wait and see what happens next. ___________________________________________ | E N D P O S T | |

When your heart is as cold as Ice, you cannot expect a warm welcome that you thought that you deserved. Just one of the mans quotes that rung through his head while he did battle against both Shinigami and Hollow kind. Rihiku was stuck in limbo between good and evil, never understanding just where his sword should be placed to end this war and bring peace to his soul. His reputation with either side of the world was flaring. He couldn't return to Hueco Mundo otherwise he would be cut down and staying here any longer would just arouse more and more suspicion onto his case. Why was he a captain? Why did Yoko fight so hard for him to gain a second chance at life? Rihiku barely understood any of it but if it happened, it must have happened for a reason. This is why he continues to hold his swords in his hands. He fights for Yoko now, less the gotei but more for the weird eyed, blue haired princess he has sworn to protect. He never said that to her personally. In his mind he promised this to her in an act of sheer respect. He cannot let his pride as a man dwindle so pathetically in the wind.
He once hated Shinigami. In a sense he still does. All those years ago when he was thrown into the Maggots nest for a crime he didn't commit. When he watched his entire squad be slaughtered by hollows and all the blame was set to his sword. He even watched the girl that may have loved him die in his arms. That was a long time ago. All of this had built up rage against the gotei for for tormenting his life. Maybe it is why he is such a cold man now. Maybe it is also why he doesn't want to brainwash himself with feelings for Yoko. If she died in battle though... maybe he would recreate his past once again. She was the key to his lock and keeps him under control.
Currently on this warm day, the sun shining bright and the people wandering happily to their tasks, Rihiku stood on his own not in his office, but behind the barracks facing his own Training field. What he had done, was create a gigantic series of training dummies made out of his own unmeltable ice. He would use these daily to test his cutting edge and perfect his movements. The space was open so he had no issues with hitting anything. however a couple of his squad had decided to watch him practice which he didn't mind at all, but found a little tedious as this happened all the time. There was a vote not too long ago about 'who was the hottest male in the Gotei' and Rihiku was voted for several hundred times. he never actually bothered to find out the results though.
Nevertheless he continued with his training, holding onto his right hip a sword stuck nicely into a scabbard ready to be drawn. The mere presence of this sword sends chills down peoples spines. It was too hot to wear his captains haori nor his blue jacket so he made do with his black upper body dragonscale shirt. It looked like heavy armour move bends like silk.
Rihiku looked towards his target, held onto his sword and in one swift movement, was standing behind the dummy with his sword still in it's scabbard. That was a good 20ft movement in the blink of an eye if even that. The dummy stood perfectly unharmed however. Rihiku stood up from a bent pose and held his sword up to the people watching. His sword wasn't entirely in the scabbard. he pushed it further in, creating a 'click' when the sword fit perfectly into the slot. That is when suddenly the dummy fell into three pieces, exploding into the air in perfect cuts. the people nearby applauded his swift attack even though they didnt even see it nor fully understand it. They just knew he was good. just then, a small stone rapidly zoomed through the wind aimed directly for Rihikus head. Some kid in the crowd hurled the stone thinking he was a jerk for showing off so much.
the stone didn't even touch the man however. He lifted the blade and put it back down to his hip. No movement was seen, but the stone split into two and parted away from him, one going right and one going left. The crowd applauded once again and Rihiku let out a sigh. Enough for today. These people weren't going to leave him alone. these two years have given him enough time to build up popularity even if it was with about 6 people. Rihiku turned from the ice and walked away. The ice dummy quickly melted into water and slowly faded away as he no longer needed it. The people also started to disappear back to their usual activities. Just as the Frozen betrayer got to the door however, he was startled to hear a VERY loud scream come from a rooftop on the other side of the building. It was undoubtedly Yoko. That voice was easy to recognise. Rihiku smirked before opening the door and walking into the barracks. Quickly, he went through the second door to his office where Yoko had managed to run to the first and banged on it repeatedly. Rihiku gently placed his sword on a pedestal before turning to the door.
Pulling at the handle, he decided not to ignore the girl but let her in. Yoko stood in the doorway looking as magical as ever. The number of times Haikenmaru tried to tell him to get closer to her has become uncountable but the way Rihiku felt towards her compared to any other was immeasurable. Well, he didn't care about anybody else at all anyway.
"Good afternoon Yoko. Any reason why your here?"
Blunt as always, Rihiku walked over to one of the several sofa's in the room and slung himself onto it so he could lay down. It was hot, he was tired. Maybe she could humour him for the afternoon seeing as nothing else ever happens on days like this. Rihiku didn't bother turning to look at Yoko as he said his next line.
"You sound as energetic as ever Miss Kuchiki. Something made you happy?"

It was nice to be reunited with Rihiku after so long. Still smiling from ear-to-ear, Yoko decided to simply let herself into his office after he had opened up the door for her. "So Gentlemen like!" Commented Yoko on him letting her into his office just like this. It seemed to her, at least personally, that he was beginning to soften up a bit as she would remember times when he was a bit more cold, hostile and distant when he first began this journey that the two of them have been embarked on for the past year or so. It really did brighten her soul a bit to see him adjusting so well to his new life that they fought very hard to obtain. "And why am I here you ask? Hehehe, I'm here to see you, silly!" She giggled, twirling around a bit once she was able to enter his office. "It's really quite spacious in here!" She also added while looking around the place; trying to get a decent view of the room in question before taking quite the plop down in one of the couches nearby Rihiku's office desk.
"Oh, I guess I'm just happy to see you!" Said Yoko, sticking her tongue out in a childish way as she had another small laugh at the interaction between the two of them. "Really though, I just felt it was time we had a talk in order to catch up with one another." Rubbing her thighs while Yoko, she began to steadily ease into her surroundings as the reality of being inside of a Captain's quarters had started to sink in with her. Sure, she typically didn't pay as much mind to this rule whenever she barged into Byakua Kuchuki's office; after all, he was family and she had grown very fond of him and hoped he kindred these feelings as well.
Yet...coming into this very special room seemed...off for her. Butterfly's were flying all about in her stomach despite her appearances and she felt somewhat nervous, making sure to still hide this very well from Rihiku so he wouldn't suspect anything. "I really wanted to see how you were doing lately, what your Captain Duties are like, to check up on you and just make sure you were, yanno, okay and stuff?" Rubbing her head now, Yoko let off a slight chuckle before leaning back in her chair.
'What is going on, Yoko? I sense an imbalance in your soul. What seems to be the matter with you?' A familiar voice echoed within Yoko's head as she was seen blinking for a few seconds before realizing just who it was and took a sigh of relief. For a brief second, she thought somebody was trying to read her inner thoughts from afar with some sort of mind-reading technique or anything similar to that effect; despite knowing that people of the caliber are rare and in between in the world. 'Ah, nothing is wrong Samui Sudo! I just feel a bit...tense. I'm not sure what is going on, but at the moment I feel a special energy between me and Rihiku and I believe he can sense it as well!' Replied Yoko as she nodded her head internally towards her Zanputko Spirit. 'Heh, then I surmise it must probably be the beginnings of a romance kinderning between the two of you lovebirds.'
Then, upon that reply from her Zanputko Spirit, Yoko was seen coughing very hardly outloud as she seemed taken back a bit. This would probably deeply confuse Rihiku, but Yoko's attention was much more on the embarrassment she just felt internally from her Zanputko Spirit. 'LLLLOVVVEE? Woah, woah, woah! I-i think you better slow this crazy train down...I really haven't had time to think about stuff like that in my life, yanno! I'm not even sure what my parents or others in the clan would say about that.' Gushing a bit internally, Yoko began to puff her cheeks out a bit at Samui Sudo in their internal conversation and go onward with her cries of protest. 'I mean...I'm not sure if I'm ready for that kind of thing, it's just something that has to, yanno, happen! You know what I mean, right?' Pausing for a bit, Yoko's internal mind would check to see what Samui Sodo's responce to her would be by looking at his body language.
'Don't worry, I won't spoil your secret with anyone. I just believe you two have a good thing going on and you'll be able to snatch him up if you tried. Just don't wait too long or he may move on to someone else.' Said Samui Sudo, nodding his head a bit while sitting down on a seemly cold rock within Yoko's snowy inner world. 'You can't really rush these kinds of things. It has has to happen, yanno?' And with that said, Yoko remembered she should probably give more attention back towards the center of all this attention: Rihiku.
Sighing a bit, Yoko would look back up at Rihiku and have a cheesy smile on her face. "Sorry about that. Something very awkward came up in my mind. It isn't anything to do with you are anything." Shaking her head, she would then place her hand upon her forehead and let out a sigh of relief. "Anyway, do you have anything to share with me, Rihiku-Kun? I'm really curious to hear about your tales..." Then a thought passed by Yoko and she started blinking a bit. "...or, do you want to go somewhere else with me? Not sure if you are the talkative type, so we can just go walking around the Soul Society if you want. Maybe tour me around your division so I can see some of your men." When finished speaking, she would then point towards a window nearby that showed the outside of Rihiku's office and a few Ninth Division members doing practice runs around the compound.
"It's really up to you."

Yoko's words always hit Rihiku oddly. When he had opened the door and she came prancing in, she called him a gentleman. He really didn't know how to take that compliment because he was never usually one to be so welcoming. Maybe she was growing on him more than he thought. She then started to talk about wanting to be here because of him. That she was here to visit him in his home. No matter what way he put it, Yoko had quite easily become Rihiku's best friend. He only had one other he could ever turn to and she was his own sword: usually pulling him along by his ear.
Rihiku lay there on the sofa casually looking up at the ceiling. He was deliberately trying to avoid any tension between him and the girl in the room. He didn't need to feel at all out of place or nervous right now. Not when your hot and bothered. It was one of those days that Rihiku particularly disliked. Just like Ice, he had a melting feeling whenever he stood in direct sunlight. Of course, whenever he trains he prefers blistering heat all around him so that he could perfect his tactics in the harshest of conditions. He once took a holiday to go live by a volcano for a week and trained his ice there. Just one fact behind how the mans ice was just so potent, powerful and preserved.
The frozen betrayer listened to the girls words as she oddly, began to comment on the room. In his mind, he could really not find anything too outstanding about the room. It was square and quite barren. He didn't like to crowd himself with useless things or distractions. His sword was his distraction; his art; his life. But maybe Yoko was fitting herself into his life as well. Rihiku mulled a few things over in his mind as Yoko looked around and then she explained she was happy to see him. Once more, Rihiku frowned slightly and fell into deep thought. It was also slightly noticeable that his cheeks were going slightly red as he wasn't entirely sure what she meant. She seemed too eager to come meet him again that it was slightly creepy. She really wanted to see him. Nobody has ever wanted to see him for nothing more than to socialise. He had to reply somehow, so he decided to answer her remark.
“My duties are.... they are limited. I get given paper, I write on it, I put it in a folder and show it to the commander. I'm diligent enough to actually do it all though. My vice captain is away doing....well I don't remember what she said. She's around somewhere.”
He then decided to sit up and cross one leg over the other.
“Sure, i'm alright I guess.”
As self centred as ever, he didn't really ask her how she was doing after he had replied. He cared, but it was a little obvious from her giddy nature how she was feeling. What was odd, was how she suddenly stopped talking and looked like she was thinking quite hard about something. What was even weirder, was how she was subconsciously making odd sounds under her breath and blushing. Rihiku looked at her with a puzzled expression. It looked like she was hiding something from him and that was never a good idea.
“What's the matter? Your thinking...”
This was quickly shaken off as she apologised and claimed something came up. How did something come up? Maybe somebody had sent her a message. It usually happened. Then again, there were no butterflies nearby so it seemed a bit odd. Regardless, Rihiku shrugged off whatever the matter was and looked forwards casually. However, he couldn't just ignore her. Yet again she started asking more of him. Did she want him to tell her a story of some kind? One of his tales? He had to give an assured response to that.
“You know my tale. It's not one you need to hear, too many bad things are involved. I'd rather you kept that smile on your face. I suppose.... well... it suits you.”
And thus, Rihiku tries his best to squeeze some kind of compliment through gritted teeth. He really wasn't the right person for this. In fact, why did Yoko even give a damn about him? He quickly brandished the idea of dying in a desert and just calmed down. But then she offered an alternative. A walk around the sereitei. Go visit some people or something. Rihiku turned his head to her direction as he listened. She seemed a little determined to get something out of him.
“Well I haven't planned anything for the rest of the day. My barracks aren't exactly the most amazing place. May I suggest... he hills outside the Sereitei?”
Rihiku was actually told to go there by one of his subordinates. One night, they decided to joke around and talk about girlfriends.
“if your alright with that? I heard theres a lake there too and I have time to spare”
