Personality
______________________________________________
Personality: Zoro is a laid back person. He's often found sleeping, and always neglects the task at hand. However, when on a mission, though reluctantly, he works hard. When on a Team mission, he is also often found taking the lead. Unless in the case of a serious meeting or a serious mission, he's always late. He also has no sense of direction, whatsoever, and thus often gets lost. He's never really serious, except when he's in combat with a strong opponent, when he is it can be seen by the bandana he puts on his head. Usually, it's a simple patch of fabric tied around his arm. He's grown 2 nasty habits: Smoking and Drinking. Over time, he's grown immune to the effects of alcohol, so he only drinks it for the strong taste. He's also never seen smoking in the line of combat, often found saying it's dishonorable, though the only reason is, he has no room in his mouth because of his Santoryu sword style. He wants to be the best swordsman there is, and dislikes anyone and everyone who doesn't keep to the Way of the Sword. People he respects in battle will often be given a respectful fight and a respectful death. People he doesn't respect, however, will be shown no mercy.

Zanpakutō Name: Tasogare (Twilight)
Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Zanpakutō Spirit Personality: Tasogare is a very serious spirit, and thus doesn't appreciate Zoro's laziness. He only shares his power with Zoro when he's serious. Otherwise, he let's Zoro do it on his own. This is to redirect him to a more serious path. When he gets to talk to Zoro he's often found relaxed though, and taking over more of Zoro's personality and less of his own.
Inner World: His inner world is a world, basically the size of the moon. One half is a reminder of Heaven and the other half is a reminder of Hell. The Heaven part is designed for conversation and hanging out, and the Hell part is designed for battle. However, in the planet itself is a large city, where Zoro and Meguya do both these things.
Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance: All 3 of these:
- Spoiler:
Release Phrase: Rise!

Shikai Information
______________________________________________
Shikai Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Shikai Abilities:
-Twilight Crescent: All three swords can use this ability, since they share a Zanpakutō spirit. The sword in question is raised and ,depending on the power charged into it, either it or Zoro himself glow with a black and white aura. This aura is gathered in the sword and then the sword is brought down like a slash in the air. When coming down, the sword releases the reiatsu it gathered out of the aura and shoots it off in a crescent shape. This crescent shaped mass of reiatsu is almost entirely white, but has black edges.
-Twilight Spirit: Zoro raises his hand to the sky, as if calling for something to fall down in it. A black and white aura surrounds him and leaks off of him like steam. When he uses this technique, his power is tripled. This, however, only lasts 15 minutes at it's limit (5 posts). This technique is cancelled by the use of Twilight Crescent, whilst in this state. After usage, this technique requires a 12-minute resting period. (4 posts)

Bankai Information
______________________________________________
Bankai Release: Bankai! Tengoku no Tasogare!
Bankai Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Bankai Abilities:
- Twilight Manipulation: In his Bankai state, Zoro gets the ability to manipulate light and dark mass. He can also use his manipulation of light and dark mass to create virtually anything from a simple table to a complex building, including weaponry. Because these things are basically light and dark mass made solid, Zoro can still move them as such. For example, being able to throw a dagger, and then calling it back to throw it again. He can also use this ablity to cover the blades of his swords, allowing him to call back any of them that might fall. The mass required for this manipulation is pulled out of air by Zoro. If the air is thin, the light mass will overpower the dark mass and have a higher quantity. If the air is thick, the effect will be the exact opposite.
-Giant Twilight Crescent: All three swords can use this ability, since they share a Zanpakutō spirit. This crescent shaped mass of reiatsu is almost entirely black, but has white edges. This technique is three times as big and twice as powerful as it's Shikai equivalent.
-Massive Twilight Spirit: Zoro raises his hand to the sky, as if calling for something to fall down in it. A black and white aura surrounds him and leaks off of him like steam. When he uses this technique, his power is quintupled. This, however, only lasts 30 minutes at it's limit (10 posts). This technique is cancelled by the use of Giant Twilight Crescent, whilst in this state. After usage, this technique requires a 12-minute resting period. (4 posts) This technique is more powerful and has a longer duration then it's Shikai equivalent.

Inner Hollow & Mask

Inner Hollow Description:
- Spoiler:
Inner Hollow Personality: Like Zoro he's very laid back and often neglects the task at hand. When in a fight however, he becomes a maniac. Unlike Zoro, he doesn't show any respect to his opponent and fights to kill. He doesn't respect anyone, but Zoro. He also hates Zoro and likes anyone who's against him, but knows he can't let Zoro be killed. He needs the body to take it over eventually.
He seems insane and homocidal, but in the times he confronts Zoro, though mocking him, his mocking seems to always have a deeper meaning, giving Zoro hints on how to truly wield Tasogare, and giving him hints on truly understanding the power he has. When he's locked in Zoro's body, all he says in battle is 'Be Merciless'. But when taking control of his body, rather than kill the opponent, he shows Zoro a battle strategy to defeat that particular opponent. And when fighting Zoro himself, he gives Zoro tips on how to defeat him. This leads to believe that he wants protect Zoro. All of him, rather than just his body.
Inner Hollow Powers:
Sonído (響転 (ソニード), sonīdo; Spanish for "Sound," Japanese for "Sound Ceremony") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami Flash Steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound caused by Flash Steps.
Bala (虚弾 (バラ), bara; Spanish for "Bullet," Japanese for "Hollow Bullet") Bala is an Arrancar alternative to Cero. The technique hardens the user's Spiritual Pressure and fires it like a bullet. Although it is weaker than a normal Cero, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate, but the damage is much the same.
Cero (虚閃 (セロ), sero; Spanish for "Zero," Japanese for "Hollow Flash," "Doom Blast" in the Viz translation) are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. Only Gillians, Adjuchas, Arrancar, and the Vizard have so far been shown to use Cero attacks, and it appears that stronger entities can use it more efficiently.

Vizard Powers

Vizard Powers:
Cero (虚閃 (セロ), sero; Spanish for "Zero," Japanese for "Hollow Flash," "Doom Blast" in the Viz translation) are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. Only Gillians, Adjuchas, Arrancar, and the Vizard have so far been shown to use Cero attacks, and it appears that stronger entities can use it more efficiently.
Garganta (黒腔 (ガルガンタ), garuganta; Spanish for "Throat," Japanese for "Black Cavity") is how Arrancar and Menos-class Hollows move to and from Hueco Mundo. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.
Mask Protection: Body damage can seemingly be ignored while wearing their masks.
Enhanced Speed: Vizard gain a great boost in their speed while Hollowfied.
Enhanced Strength: The Vizard have shown great strength while using their masks.
Reiryoku Enhancement: Vizard have dual spiritual power of both Shinigami and Hollow, which enhances their abilities.

Hierro (鋼皮 (イエロ), iero; Spanish for "Iron," Japanese for "Steel Skin") refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutō bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar generally have proportionally stronger skin than usual.

History

Background:Human Life: (Pre-Untold Stories 1)
Even as a child, Roronoa Zoro was strong enough to defeat most adults. He was a traveler who took down dojo signs (a physical form of honor to that dojo, being removed equating to loss of honour) after defeating them. However, there was one person Zoro could not beat - the sensei's daughter, Kuina. After his defeat, he asked Kuina's father, Sensei Victor, to let him train there, so he could defeat Kuina. After their 2000th fight (and Kuina's 2000th victory) Zoro challenged her in private for one more match - with real swords.
She beat him, and he cried with frustration, telling Kuina his dream of being the world's greatest swordsman. Hearing this, Kuina confided in Zoro, telling him that she shared the same dream but knew she could never attain it - her father had told her that girls could never be true sword masters, and that her fighting potential would decrease as her body matured.
Zoro, annoyed by her defeatist attitude in spite of repeatedly winning against him, told her that one day he would beat her because he was more skilled, not just because she was a girl. The two make a promise - that either of them must become the worlds best swordsman. The next day, Kuina died falling down the stairs of her dojo.
Zoro found out about that, the same day, and was presented with Kuina's sword, by Victor. He normally fought with two weapons, but after Kuina's death he wanted to include her sword in their shared dream of becoming the best swordsman. So he developed Santoryu, a three-sword-style. He held two swords in his hands and one clenched between his teeth. This was made possible by Zoro clenching weights in his mouth during training.
2 years later, he started travelling the world. He defeated every swordsman he found in every country he came across. But eventually he returned and introduced himself to Japan as Zoro Takahashi, instead of Zoro Roronoa. He took refuge in an abandoned temple in the middle of Japan, and became a bounty hunter. The different cities, however, hired him for protection, and thus he became known as the Protector of Japan. Having finally completed his Santoryu, people also started calling him by the title Santoryu no Zoro.
One day he was challenged for a match to the death by a man known as World's Greatest Swordsman. Remembering his promise to Kuina, he couldn't let this opportunity pass. He would become the best swordsman, as promised, or he would die trying. After trying everything he had, though, his opponent didn't have a scratch on him. He stood straight, held his arms out to his sides and said: "I have one request. 2 miles east from here is a dojo, led by a man named Victor. Take my body and bring it to him. He'll know what to do." The swordsman merely nodded and stabbed his sword through Zoro's heart. After that, Victor had been brought Zoro's body, as requested, and Zoro was buried next to Kuina.Life as a Soul: (Pre-Untold Stories 1)
Zoro himself was found in Rukongai by his archrival, his female nemesis, Kuina, who didn't seem to have aged a day. She explained to him that the aging process for souls went alot slower then for humans. She also explained how she met a few Shinigami and gave up on becoming the best swordswoman after hearing stories of Zaraki Kenpachi. Zoro however, didn't give up and refused to be defeated, just because these Shinigami had ages on him.
He trained and trained and then trained some more. On a fateful day, 3 years after his arrival in Soul Society, a shinigami found him training in the woods and asked him for a spar. He, of course, accepted and defeated the shinigami. The shinigami told him that he didn't expect Zoro's unique style to work so well in combat, and asked him if he wanted to apply to the Shinõ Academy. Zoro accepted without a beat and was soon enrolled into the Academy.Shinigami In-Training: (Pre-Untold Stories 1)
Zoro started out in the Academy by going to his dorm and meeting his new roommate. And to his surprise, his best and perhaps only friend ever was there. None other than Kuina. He layed his stuff down on his bed and turned to face her. "I thought you gave up on the dream." He said with a cocky grin. She responded: "I did. Then you came back. Now, i gave up on becoming the best. I didn't give up on being better then you." She gave a cocky grin of her own.
They walked to their first class: Kidō. Unlike Kuina, who was a quick study and quickly grasped everything they were taught, Zoro had a problem. He wasn't used to using anything other than his fists, his feet and his sword. Using Kidō, therefore was his weak point. In Hohou and Hakuda classes, he easily became top of the class from the start though. Having years of experience in the basics of what they were being taught. He already had great footwork, so getting a grasp on Shunpo wasn't that hard. And his hand-to-hand combat skills had been honed over the years he lived.
Last was Zanjutsu class, which started off with each of them going for a sparring tournament. Zoro, of course, couldn't wait to show Kuina his unique swordstyle and grabbed tqo bokken, unlike the others who grabbed only one. He didn't face Kuina in the first rounds, and he was happy about that, he didn't want to beat her right away, he wanted to give her a show first. He defeated 3 opponents in record time and waited for the finals.
Kuina managed to come through as well, and faced Zoro in the finals. Zoro immediately took an offensive stance. He had a dozen years of experience with a unique style and Kuina was rusty at best. This was gonna be easy as pie. He quickly managed to disarm her and then showed everyone in class his own swordstyle when he put Kuina's bokken in his mouth. He moved the bokken in his hands behind the one in his mouth, and swiftly moved to Kuina. He slashed all three of them across her torso, sending her flying back, as he came to a stop where she stood before. He let the bokken fall from his mouth and smiled. The lesson ended with Zoro stating. "I'm not the kid you defeated 2001 times anymore, Kuina."
He seemed cocky that day, but he was actually really disappointed in his own Kidō skills. So from that day on he trained and trained and then train some more, so he would be as good at Kidō as in the other three main Shinigami skills. His nose was always in a book, studying about Kidō, or he was in the fields, training the Kidō he had studied.Shinigami and Vizard Life: (Untold Stories 1)
His excessive training in Kidō paid off. He was appointed to the Fifth Squad and the Kidoushuu. He soon rose both of them in rank and became Lieutenant of the Fifth Squad and 2nd in command of the Kidoushuu. He did this in a mere five years.
100 years later, the Fifth Squad captain and Kidoushuu general had died and a replacement was needed. The Third and Sixth Squad captains recommended Zoro, still Lieutenant at the time, for the position, and Zoro accepted without a second thought.
He commanded as Fifth Squad captain and Kidoushuu general for over 400 years, before he was infected with an unknown decease that infused a Hollow's soul with his own. Later, this process would be known as Hollowfication. He left the Gotei 13, became a Rogue Shinigami and travelled the Living Realm.
One day, 300 years later, his Inner Hollow had taken control of his body and was unwilling to give back control. Zoro entered his inner realm to find that it had all changed. Mihawk was gone, the endless ocean had dried up. All that was left was Mihawk's small boat on an endless desert. Zoro looked ahead and clearly saw the Inner Hollow he had always been fighting. It was the first time he actually saw the Inner Hollow.
He drew his swords and felt power in them, but different than Mihawk. The Hollow had taken Mihawk's power. This was the power of three beings he knew very well. His 'sisters' were lending him their powers. These sisters were actually just part of the family he lived with in Rukongai, not related by blood. They all became Shinigami, and it seemed they were now protecting him, and out of his knowledge, they were also fighting his body.
Zoro couldn't rely on Shikai or Bankai, since he didn't know them with these new powers, but he had enough power in the Zanpakutō's to know he could use his moves without breaking them, as he did with so many of his normal swords in his human life.
His Inner Hollow claimed that Zoro didn't have near enough power to control their body, and thus he took control. Zoro however, was intend on proving him wrong and charged in. The Inner Hollow, however, parried him and activated Bankai. Zoro stood there flabbergasted. Why could a Hollow use Bankai? It didn't make sense.
As Zoro fought the Inner Hollow, he started to figure it out. This Hollow was his exact equal, but without any control or morals to hold him back. So Zoro had to let go of these as well. The battle after that was short, as both of them went all-out and used all their resources. Zoro, however, had an advantage over the Inner Hollow. He was a Master at Kidō. The Inner Hollow either couldn't or didn't use Kidō. He executed the strongest Bakudou possible given the amount of time he had: Bakudo 75; Gochutekkan. After executing it, with success, he stabbed all three of his swords into the Hollow and it's white coat became Mihawk's standard red. "This isn't over Zoro!" Was the last thing he said, before disappearing into thin air.
Outside his Inner Realm, the Hollow fell off of Zoro like a shell that was just waiting to be shed and revealed Zoro with his Hollow mask on. The hollow mask disappeared like sand to the wind and Zoro fell down. When he woke, he was surrounded by the three people who had given him the strength to get through his battle. They explained to him how they would be his strength now and all disappeared into colored smoke, which all in turn disappeared into their respect Zanpakutō.
He was now free of his Inner Hollow, but he still wasn't a free man. Not only was the Gotei 13 still after his head, he also had the Vizard Organization at the time trying to recruit him. Eventually Zoro gave up, and joined the Vizard Organization, only to find that they weren't his type of fighters. After merely 3 years he quit and joined the Amatsurigi, of which he became the Blue Dragon of The East. He hermited in the Eastern Temple for 50 years, before the Amatsurigi disbanded. but after doing nothing but sitting and meditating for 50 years, even the Soul Society saw him as only a memory of the past and a past Kidoushuu General. Now: (Pre-Platinum Hearts/Platinum Hearts)
352 years had passed since then, and Zoro woke up to find himself inside a cave in the mountains. A man walked in, with a white lab coat. He told Zoro that he had been trapped in a block of ice, and that he was totally frozen. It was a miracle he survived. Zoro of course knew better and knew that the only reason he wasn't dead yet, was because he wasn't human. Zoro thanked the supposed scientist and walked out. After descending the mountain, he shed his gigai and found that his powers had changed in 352 years time. He was curious to what extent. He found that the sisters didn't lend him power anymore. He now had a Zanpakutō spirit that seemed to be all three of them in one form. His Hollow mask had changed as well, as did his Shikai and Bankai. This was gonna take some getting used to...
