It has built a while and it is time to speak. Here are some problems that need to come out that can't in xat or a PC cause certain mods kick and ban first and never ask later.

So first to all mods and admin.... I feel like kick and ban is used far to often. I will admit that some of the randoms who peek by are not interested and thus need to go...but you guys do it far to often and far to soon. Half the time some of them may just trying to be friendly but have an odd name. Instantly kicked. This is why we see the same few people on everyday with no new blood around.
You can say ''we got 200 new members this month.'' But thats no use if none of them ever post or disappear after a week.

Second: Learn to talk out problems without kick/banning. I am going to point out Pockeh all day long here as he is guilty the most of it. i mistakenly typed Ravana when I meant to type Rai. I don't know why but it was one of those things where my fingers typed before I thought it through. Pockeh instantly assumes I was disrespectful and kicked me, So I got upset at the fact he kicked and called me a bitch. It's not the first time her let his emotions lead him into kicking people for little reason. BPH has a horrible reputation around bigger role playing sites as a place where no one is welcomed, where new people are made fun of and kicked. That is a big reason we don't see many new people who are serious about rp.

Third: This trolling thing. I am guilty of it too. When someone says stop then we should all respect it and stop. A joke is only funny if everyone is laughing, not when it hurts people. In this I apologise to Pockeh again for taking things to far.

All in all BPH is in more trouble then Frost or anyone else may think. The staffs and therefore sites reputation around other role play sites is horrible. I have been warned on a couple of sites, BSRP, Bleach Gotei, Soul Disruption, Naruto RPG, NSRP, RPG Gateway...just to name a few that I have hung around. Who was the last person to join the site and seriously started to role play?

Lastly I am apologizing to Pockeh. I was just upset at your unneeded kick and insult and spoke out of turn.

I could write an essay on this topic to be perfectly honest. In fact, I did but erased it after realising just how pointless it would end up being. Not many would really read and take head of it would they? Otherwise that 'angry bear' thread Genpaku made would actually be working. Sure people have slowed down a little but in reality, have they really? I can tell you it is thoroughly noticeable the difference between then and now but nothing will ever be perfect.

Ill think more about it all once I've actually heard about more of this. I do wonder, has anybody noticed recently iv'e been watching the xat, like a hawk? reading everything everyone says before I go to bed. It may say im afk but in reality im not... spooky eh?

I grew curious of the sites personality towards others including new, returning or current members as well as to each other. Who out of us is seperated from the group and feels isolated because of it? I'll be keeping my own view on that to myself for now. I will say though: Good work Chi for standing up for yourself and letting everyone know where our problems lie.

The very fact that you say that makes us assume the worst; there's a difference between being objective and disrespectful. It may be a fine line in the best of cases, but believe me, my reason for assuming bias is on the objective side, Chaozi.

Yes, chi, people are like that in the Xat. Unfortunately, it's not easy to change. People have asked you quite often to change how YOU act within the Xat, yet it hasn't happened, has it? The last time you were asked, you said "Just let chi be chi and don't worry about anything!" We'll start acting a bit better if you can, because frankly? The way YOU act in the Xat can be really irritating for most members, sometimes. The child act is nice and all, but it's not always the most appropriate way of acting.

As for the quick-kick/ban, it's really easy to discern the difference between someone who is here for Forum RP, and who isn't. You'd be surprised how few people are referred to our site through the Xat. If I were to put it simply enough, a person who comes into our Xat is usually here to troll, Xat RP or just plain sit there and do nothing. When we do get someone who is actually interested from the Xat end of the bargain, they tend to disappear or not actually know what the hell they're doing. 99% of the time, our quick-bans from Xat are completely justified. That little 1% is always going to be there.

You're guilty of disrespect so many times, chi. It was stupid of him to kick so rashly, but maybe you should think about how you act in the Xat before judging people's reasoning.

Now, for your final point. Yerg. In case you didn't realize, most of the Bleach RP'ers around are more in it for the LOLLETSFIGHT than anything else. As a site, we don't always appreciate those people that are always in for the fight and strength rather than anything else. For that reason, I won't lie, a lot of new people get shit. However, the people that actually earn our respect through WORK get our respect. Case in Point: Blank and Betwix. Even me. Back when I started out here, Frost didn't think I'd last a week. Here I am now, an Advisor. You can't just expect to be handed respect on a silver platter, not when most RP'ers don't even know how to seriously RP more than one line in a social RP.

Now then, you know me. I'm not done yet. From one side of the coin, to the other. Since I most certainly don't... disagree with Chi's points.

For starters, guys, we do use Kick and Ban a lot on Greenies. Admittedly, it can get annoying when a Greenie who is genuinely interested is banned 'just because he's green'. I have to wonder how many prospective members we've lost through that. Even though a lot of them are just newfags that can't tell their syntax from their Netflix, we have to remember that we were like that once (even though we don't like to admit it all the time). I will go ahead and say that you guys need to be a little bit more lenient on Greenies and new members.

Second: We are really bad with this, and I am, admittedly, guilty of it myself. I usually kick with a justified reason, though sometimes that can be blurred by circumstances. It's happened before, I'm sure it'll happen again. Staff, don't just assume things. Take the time to think about things and don't let your idea of "Staff Disrespect" take you to the kick button, unless a Staff Member is being directly disrespected. I've called Tsubine Agito, and Raiki Ravana, a whole host of slips of the fingers. It happens. Just remember: We're basically members with a little extra power and responsibility. We're pretty much just the same as the members, even if they don't think it, or look at us that way. It makes you sound less condescending with power if you try to sit equally.

Third: Trolling is a BIG problem here. I'm guilty of it too. If you know someone's trolling, then either Harden the Fuck Up, or get them to stop. If they don't stop and it is actually hurting your feelings, then be more aggressive, or go to another staff for help. Sometimes realizing that the person that's trolling you is in a bad mood helps you understand and ignore the troll. There are times when it's easier for them to just let out their angst.

And yeah, BPH has a mixed reputation out there. I don't tend to peruse other sites, but people's opinions that I've heard go from how great we are, to how assholish we can be. I say this, though. We've been alive for two years as a site; we're expected to get new members to build up the next generations. It's obviously going to happen and we can't do anything about it. We should be nicer to new members but realize that some people just won't change their ways no matter how much they get prodded.

Oh and before I forget: Chi. Some of those sites you listed? They're run by former staff/members that think they're better than us. They're people who got butthurt over something petty, or actually hurt members of this site. It's hard to gauge a site's worth by people's opinions, sadly.

Anyways, that's all I have to say on this. Take it or leave it, I don't care. I've given my opinion, made it as unbiased as possible and attempted to address issues on both sides of this agenda. If you don't like what I have to say here, then I'm going to have to find a fuck to give soon, since I don't have any right now.
