Meimu wasn't quite sure WHY Waver's cheeks were so red, but she didn't mind it. The red head was just content, as they sat near her most special spot, a sort of tranquil look crossing the typically hyper girl's face. She nodded, as her smile was a different kind : a gentle, tranquil smile. ''Yeah.. this is where I go.'' she said softly. It was a gentle whisper almost, like the wind rustling in the trees. The girl was watching him with her blue eyes, noticing his smile, which made hers stay much longer. He was thanking her, as she noticed him moving his face away. Sliding towards him, her fingers curled under his chin, and pulled up his face, noticing his tears. ''Oh.. Waver..'' she said softly, using his full name for the first time. Her own voice choked, as her lips leaned forward, kissing the slowly dropping tears. After kissing them away, she noticed her own tears were leaking. ''Ah.. you don't have to cry Waver. See.. you're my first real friend, ever. Well.. if you want to be that is.'' she said, softly. There was an abnormal hesitance in her words : even that much was clear now, as her fingers softly kept wiping his tears away, but keeping his head up to stare straight into her blue gaze. A sort of loneliness was crossing her face : and Meimu felt strange. For the first time, she felt that pain, the things that she kept secret coming up. Inside of her, she felt the cracks in her mask : she felt the sudden shift of things to a point that she didn't understand. It was like everything she kept inside was wanting to pour out. All of those things that Meimu had kept secret for a long time, such as fear, anxiety, insecurity, pain, anger, was yearning. Rattling the mask which she held, and yet she wasn't necessarily afraid. Meimu knew that off of his thank you, that he was grateful. For her attention and time, and that touched her. And just as softly, she wrapped her arms around him, hugging the academy student tightly to her body. She understood that Waver probably felt as lonely as she did : a sort of kindred soul so to speak. It had been obvious to a part of her, and even though Meimu was a bit ditzy, there was a shocking intelligence behind that face. ''So thank you Waver, for letting me drag you around, and becoming your friend.'' she said, the hug very warm. She felt.. safe. Happy. It was a strange feeling, once that even surrounded by people was hard to find. Because in a sense, she realized how weak she was compared to Colin and Millia and the rest.. she was a weakling and she didn't really fit in either. But she was cheerful and charismatic : that was her saving grace. But even with that.. she had made Waver truly smile. And he had said thank you.. so for the first time, she felt truly accepted. |

Although Waver's experience with women was anything but tasteful, this young girl known as Meimu was unexpectedly sweet, caring like a mother nurturing her young. From birth, Waver was always subconsciously afraid of how people treated him, of how they'd judge and ridicule him because of his lackluster lineage. To Waver, one didn't need a family name to persevere through life. True strength lied in those willing to attempt bettering themselves day by day. His belief was that which all humans believe in, but eventually give up on their dreams, using other methods to climb their way to the top. However, no matter what had come his way, Waver only wanted to prove those people who ridiculed him wrong.. He was the underdog to many, but to Meimu, he was a friend.
He was blushing uncontrollably now, feeling a warm sensation throughout his entire cheeks. Her lips felt so soft, kissing away his fears, enveloping him within their touch. She was beautiful from the outset, but this only served to magnify her charms. Meimu was unlike any other person he had met hitherto. She was kind, warm, amicable in all facets of her personality, and she never judged Waver. Indeed, the moment her lips left his face, he could see the tears flowing from her blue eyes.
Even though Waver had been experiencing a streak of bad luck up until now, meeting Meimu was an unexpected blessing in disguise. The sensation of talking to someone who genuinely cared for your well being... was breathtaking, ethereal beyond all compare. And just as she had quelled his own worries, Waver would do the same in kind.
She was no longer a stranger, but someone who reached out to Waver, who sought out his friendship while others ridiculed and berated him whenever it was convenient for them. Waver had resigned himself to the idea that he was alone, that this world was simply filled with selfish bastards who only believed in their own ideals, without accepting the theories of another individual. However, today, that perception had been completely crushed by this Shinigami woman. No longer was he an outsider. He was accepted into someone's circle, and was recognized as a friend. There was no one in the world right now that could steal this feeling away from him! Not even God!
Wrapping his arms around her waist, Waver said in an adamant tone, "Yes, i want to be your friend, Meimu! I've... never met someone who actually cares about me or treated me with so much kindness. Truth be told, i was afraid you'd be like everyone else and make fun of me, ridiculing me on how i had no chance of reaching my goals. But i was wrong! And i only have you to thank for that! I'm truly honored to be your friend.," he said warmly, finishing his sentence with calming resolve. This was a moment that would forever be etched within the mind of this young man, and deep in his heart, he only wished for more. From now, until the end of time....

Meimu's heart felt like someone had filled it up with helium; it was just rising and rising and floating, even as she felt the tears slowly slide down her face. Waver's arms had wrapped around her, and they were so warm. It was Meimu's first time being held; it felt wonderful and gentle and fluffy. It wasn't the rough grabbing from a fight, or anything like that; there was a gentle warmth to it that made her feel.. well at home. Waver seemed to share her feelings, as he told her straight up how he felt. The girl felt tenderness over come her entire self and just let herself rest against him; it was such a beautiful, lovely feeling inside of her. Parts of her didn't understand what he meant, but she knew very well the feeling he had. So much that she had shared her special spot with the first person that gave her more then five minutes of their time; she had been hurt by people appearing and leaving, and she had been hurt by things that.. nobody would understand. Meimu's lack of memories, of remembering her very own being, was very hard for her to handle. She felt empty in some ways, and just now, just with Waver's want to be her friend? She felt a bit of that heavy weight in her heart fade away. It was just such a beautiful and pure feeling that the girl just couldn't handle it. It was just.. perfect. She was content snuggling like this, just being held and holding, as she gave Waver a smile. And then she heard a small popping noise. And then another. Blinking, Meimu stared at buttons that just flew barely past Waver's nose. ''.. what?'' she said, looking down. The buttons were from her shirt.. and then in mere moments, her shirt opened, dropping her clevage in open view. And pop! Her chest bounced, and pressed up right against Waver's own. The red head stared at this, and then just looked up sheepishly at Waver. ''I guess they were bigger then I thought!'' she said, before scratching the back of her head with a laugh. She felt kinda stupid, but at the same time? This was all sorts of hilarious, as she just began to giggle quite loudly, shaking her body against Waver's. In moments, that big precious feeling wasn't gone per say; but something so weird had just happened that Meimu couldn't help it. Noticing that a button nicked his nose, Meimu moved her face closer, and her tongue lapped up the tiny trail of blood right there. ''And there~ Sorry about that, my buttons wanted to butt your face.'' she said, totally making a non-sense pun. And another laugh, shaking her chest even MORE in front of the poor male's face. At this rate, even though Meimu had no idea, it would be a surprise if he survived a week in her presence. But, Meimu knew that he was her first friend.. and she was so happy and she liked him so very much! |
