The one and only one [Diablo]
Fri Dec 02, 2011 3:34 pm
- A light laugh fell from her chest, as she closed the cabinet door, locking it with the key. Dropping it around her neck, the girl slowly brushed her long blonde hair with her fingers. She knew her life : it had played like a video after her ascent to arrancar. But she would not let things happened so long ago cloud her now : she was no longer Carmen, Liora or Kyrstyna. She was Valdis now, as she let her long strands fall, almost elegantly around her keeping her most arrancar features hidden today. Her body turned on it's heels, as she headed out of her room, walking down the hallway, the flick of blonde moving. When she checked his room, he was not there : so the search began, almost as if patiently, she looked around. And soon enough, she found him, smiling to herself. Smoothly, she simply stood behind him, observing whatever he was doing : her accustomed area, as she was always behind him, always ready to help with whatever task he had. That was her function, she reflected happily to herself, almost beyond content with this. Diablo was all she cared for : he was her all and everything.. he was her master, and she loved it. The girl waited for whatever he wanted her to do, or whatever he had to say to her.

Diablo Cortar~The Cutting Devil/Segunda Espada~0-5+
Las Noches: home to the Espada and only structure to exist within Hueco Mundo; its gigantic, white facade imposing upon any who may enter the realm of the Hollows. Though officially built by Aizen around 400 years ago, this fortress was still used by the newest generation of Espada; known to many as the Nuevo Espada. While this was all well and good, there was one "oddity" about the home to the Espada that; while it stood out was never really brought up. This, being the aesthetics of the structure; or the sheer architectural detail that went into its appearance. While such structures usually were lavish in their design, it was odd that such detail had gone into a fortress that was used by a race that, simply put, was not known for its artistic tendencies. So, while the fortress did serve its primary function, its aesthetic beauty was seemingly going to waste. Luckily for the poor fortress, there was at least one soul within Hueco Mundo with the intelligence and ability to appreciate its finer details. This being was, and to no surprise, Diablo Cortar; the "Cutting Devil" and current Segunda Espada.
Unlike other Arrancar, let alone Espada, Diablo was able to appreciate the aesthetic details of Las Noches; just one of the many traits that set him apart from all other Arrancar. While not exactly his own "style" (seeing as Diablo was a sort of "artist" himself), he was able to identify with the finer aspects of the structure. Of course, aside from Diablo himself, nobody really knew that he could and did appreciate their fortress. While it was known that he would quite often draw in blood (both his own and that of others), since he did not even say anything to a large majority of other Arrancar, nobody actually knew what went on inside of his head. Of course, Diablo preferred it this way; not so much because his thoughts were so private, but because he simply detested most other Arrancar. Luckily for him, not only was he left alone by most because of his silence, but Diablo actually had a bit of a "reputation" throughout all of Hueco Mundo as someone you never wanted to cross; known as both "The Cutting Devil" and "El Diablo". Of course, there were certain Arrancar he had to "put up with", both Espada and not. Today, it seemed that he would be dealing with his fraccion; Valdis.
To sum up the "relationship" (if you could call it that) between Diablo and his fraccion, the phrase "oblivious complacency" comes to mind. Basically, his fraccion Valdis did not really annoy him much compared to most others, and her undying loyalty to him was quite useful. So long as she proved useful, mainly to fight in his stead, Diablo had no concept of "betraying her". Simply put, so long as she was useful and did not annoy him too much, he would allow her to follow him as she did. Of course, as for the "oblivious" part, that mainly played in with Diablo's seeming lack of any emotions. Though most likely obvious to others, Diablo seemed completely oblivious to Valdis' infatuation over him; almost as if he were ignoring her. Of course, that wasn't totally the case. It wasn't as if Diablo did not like her or pay attention to her in particular, but he lacked any emotions to even begin to understand any of the feelings his fraccion may have had towards him. So, he wasn't really intentionally ignoring her; he simply did not have the emotional capacity to understand her; yet at least.
So, with all of this in mind, as Valdis approached Diablo, he immediately noticed her presence; though he made no body movements to show this. It wasn't as if he were really in the middle of something, as most of his time could probably be classified as "free time"; but it simply wasn't in his nature to actually acknowledge most others presences, let alone greet them. Of course, because it was his fraccion, and she had not actually interrupted him, Diablo decided to at least humor her; at the very least she may have actually sought him out for a reason. Without saying a word, Diablo slowly turned around to face his fraccion, his red, emotionless eyes gazing down upon her. "...Mi Fracción" he spoke, his tone as devoid of emotions as his gaze; laced only with a slight Spanish accent. "¿Qué te trae aquí?" he finished, his words slightly long and drawn out. This was how Diablo usually spoke, only a few words at a time and never revealing any of what may be going on within his head.
~Diablo's Fun Translation Time!~
"Mi Fracción"="My fraccion"
"¿Qué te trae aquí?"="What brings you here?"

- There he was, as a flush covered her cheeks, almost softly. He was just there : she understood him more then most. Silence was a prize : she held no delusions, no matter how much she loved him and only him. If she became a nuisance to him - note the fact that she would rather die first - he would terminate her. If she died by his hand, she would be complete : that was another shade of her desire to be by his side. She just wanted to be there, to be with him : forever and always, and that was the vow. She would never go back on it, as the girl felt the blush depend more, as her face looked down, the strands of her hair covering her face. He actually acknowledged her being there, as he spoke in Spanish: she felt a gentle tingle in her body, running over her skin at the very breath of his voice. Oh she loved him so : pinned and adored him dearly and tenderly. Her body was lightly shaking, as she played with her sleeves, having donned a maid outfit of sorts, before coming here. It was time for her master's daily meal : she would often come back to remind him of such things, if left alone, he'd throw himself off balance and become weaker rather then stronger.
''Maestro, es el momento para que comer.'' she said, her Spanish with a light hint of an accent, but yet it was faded in the stuttering and stumbling of her words. She felt another blush creep up her face, as her body turned away from him, her frame shaking just a little. ''Ven conmigo: Ya he todo preparado, como siempre. Cambios en su actual comida?'' she said, being courteous as always, as she slowly eased into a hostess like air. But she still stuttered and blushed readily as her master was near by : she could smell the blood, and she could feel his Reiatsu near by, being so damn close : it drove her senses wild, and she was demure, tamed. Again, most arrancar thought she was easy, but they learned the hard way, as her claws often dug holes in their bodies. But that was another thing, for another time, as she waited at the door, for her master and his response.
[I used google translate. Sue me.]
Maestro, es el momento para que comer.
Master, it is time for you to eat.
Ven conmigo: Ya he todo preparado, como siempre. Cambios en su actual comida.
Come with me : I have already prepared everything, as usual. Any changes to your meal today?
