An Annoyed Wild Bear Appears!

Alright. So yeah, I’m good and annoyed with the issues I’m about to bring up, but I’m not gonna put anyone on blast here, nor am I going to point out specific people who are the targets; I doubt I need too, both parties know all too well who they are.

What is the bear roaring about? I’m roaring about all this fucking hate that is flying around the xat at people. Don’t you even act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. Jokes are all fine and good, but there is some real hate being thrown at people in the xat and on the site itself. There are people on the receiving end of a lot of backlash for actions that are either in the past or were stupid. Several people have jumped onto these hate bandwagons and have begun to pile even more of that hate onto them without any real reason or justification.

Now look, I’m not saying that everyone should be happy-go-lucky and pretend to like everyone. However, if you have real issues with the person, just don’t speak to them or, better yet, work the fucking issue out and quit living in the damn past. I don’t pretend to know the entire labyrinthine history that comprises the relations and undertones of the site, but I do know this; this is now, that was then, and in all honesty holding on to this hate is nothing short of petty and weaksauce all around. We’re here to have a good time, but if all someone is doing is getting flak in xat, kinda defeats the purpose.

Second issue; people being left out of RP because of shit said in xat. You know this is happening, and fine. If YOU personally have an issue with the person in question, then fine I can understand why you don’t want to RP with them. HOWEVER if you are just going by second-hand information you’ve got no right to deny RPing with someone simply because of what you have heard. Everyone deserves a chance to prove they can do better than what rumors say.

Now maybe I’m stepping out of my bounds here, but it has always been my impression that a staff’s highest duty is, first and foremost, the preservation of the community so that it can continue to grow, thrive, and generally be awesome. I have seen these issues crop up time after time after time, and when I have to run crowd control behind the scenes to keep people from yelling in main xat, quitting, and so on something isn’t going right here. And before people think to point fingers, I’ve gotten these complaints from MULTIPLE members. I’m all for jokes, but there is a point where it passes that the people start to take shit to heart, opinions get warped, and things start downhill.

Those are the only major issues I feel like bringing up right now.

About damn time someone brought this up.

Honestly, I feel like an hypocrite posting here since I'm also the criminal in this situation. But I'm not afraid to say that I'm a victim as well. Recently, we've suffered through some major drama in the XAT even more than the drama during the Summer. I'm not going to list the amount of drama or the subjects of it down just like that because they were absolutely countless (and I am serious by that).

This may be Platinum Hearts but we need to somehow reduce the trolling going on around here. It makes us look unprofessional and the likes...

What was I talking about again? Oh, right.

We all remember that 'short' argument yesterday between some members about something so trivial and small but whatever we did (ie. telling them to stop, warn them about some punishments, etc). As Rin said, members need to take words from the staff very seriously. Yes, yes, sometimes, us staff members like to have fun with ourselves and joke around. But, if things get out of hand because of us, we know exactly what to do and stop what's going on.

Either way, we need to discuss some stuff about this. I can't write this down in one post so suddenly.
