Appearance:
Kurama looks to be around seventeen years old with a very thin body and pinkish skin, his appearance very much resembles a rose for he has bright emerald green eyes with thick long eyelashes and as well as long vibrant red hair, with two long forelocks on both shoulder and the rest on his back. He has a soft aroma of roses and he is occasionally mistaken for a girl. Although when someone crosses his line, he can give a chilling death glare that often make his opponent uncomfortable.
Due towards his experiments that he has conducted onto himself, he has some animal features; he has two big fox ears that are the color black, he has a super long fluffy fox tail that is bigger then his body, black paw like feet and black sharp fingernails. The experiment was suppose to have reverted him back to his old self, but his second thoughts on it caused the experiment to fail.
Besides his uniform, Kurama tends to wear an oversize sleeved lab coat, a bell around his neck with a red ribbon like lace and no shoes. Having animal like feet he refuses to keep his shoes on as it is more comfortable and it helps him when it comes to using his agility. He never takes of his bell, due to the fact of his past.

P E R S O N A L I T Y


Personality:
Shuuichi Minamino also known as Youko Kurama in his previous life, has a calm yet graceful personality, he is very patient and polite. He honestly prefers to be called Kurama over Shuuichi or Minamino. He is very reserved when it comes to his own personal problems and feelings, yet enjoys hearing and talking with others. Kurama is very intelligent, he enjoys cracking codes and especially conducting assigned (secret) experiments. He is very kind yet devoted to his work, although he does put his friends first when it comes to favors. He isn't into marital affairs on the fact that he did lose someone very important to him in his past and he would rather ignore fighting when it isn't really necessary.
Kurama is calculative, cunning, and analytical. He is able to carefully look past his feelings and see the real situation at hand. In battle, while his preference is to concoct strategies based on deduction of his opponents' abilities and fighting style, his natural battle instincts are also highly tuned. He is capable of slashing another person's head off in just an instant, relying only on impulse. However, his care for his friends and his love for his family are the backbone of his fighting drive, as he will sacrifice just about anything to protect them as he did give up his life for his mother. Kurama loves biology, plants (roses in particular), studying, conducting experiments, hacking and especially breaking codes since he used to be a theft. He also enjoys lending a helping hand and or solving problems for people. He realy wants to be forgiven for everything he has done in his past and he is willing to go out of his way to repay his debt. Kurama doesn't like people who disrespect him or hurt his friends. He is under depression, based on the fact that he had done evil things in the past. He is very forgiving towards others, but somehow he still cant forgive himself.

B A C K G R O U N D

History/Background:
Youko Kurama was born in the soul society, he was the leader of a group of bandits that laid outside the rukong district. They caused a lot of trouble in the soul society and have even stollen from the royals. Kurama was a cold and ruthless killer whom had even gotten rid of his friend that looked up to him, because he disobeyed him and lost countless lives. One day Youko learned of a strange bell that held unknown powers. Youko greedly left to steal it and keep the powers for himself. During this attempt, he was caught and killed by a skilled shinigami of squad 2. Youko's body vanished and so did the bell that he stole and wore around his neck.
Due to the bell Youko was then reborn as Shuichi Minamino. His human mother loved him with all her heart and taught the once so cold hearted Kurama what human love is. Kurama, who actually wanted to return to the soul society for revenge as soon as he regained his spiritual pressure, learned how to love and to care and found himself unable to leave his mother. So he stayed to take care of her. He learned many neat things in the human world and especially his favorite is hacking. For 17 years Kurama has lived the life of a human, he wasn't very good at making friends cause of the age difference and cause he couldn't really be himself. During his step fathers presentation at a ball, there was a terreble insident where Kurama had to choose between his life and his families. Kurama gave up his life for the women whom warmed up his heart and even changed his mind about revenge.
He now returns to the soul society as Shuuichi Minamino, since he's identity is that of a human than he wasn't seen as a threat. Kurama only has one third of the spiritual pressure he used to poses so now he starts from scratch in the academy; Doing his 100% he tries his hardest to be the top of his class although he isn't very good at kidou.

Zanpakutô Spirit Name: Rose
Appearance: Rose is a silver nine tailed fox with vines that surround her legs, and red roses all over her nine tails. She has narrowed gold eyes that give her a cold appearance and she seems very feisty. She has lovly fur coat and is big enough to actually ride.



Inner World: Kurama's Inner World looks like mythical forest with a waterfall plants and mainly flowers. Depending on his mood the time frame changes from morning evening or night time. Kurama's inner world is almost always night time, he appears to look like is older self yet his attitude doesn't change. He isn't very confortable in his inner world unless Rose is in a good mood, which she rarely is.


Sealed Zanpakutô Apperance : Disguised as a rose. It's a wakizashi style Zanpakuto with plant like vines that surround the handle of the zanpakuto.

Sealed Zanpakutô Abilities: the vines arround the handle can extend upto 5 feet long like a rope and allow Kurama access to twirl around his zanpakuto.

Roleplay Sample:

It was a terribly hot day today, Kurama felt dizzy as he walked through the doors of the library. He was instantly welcomed by the cool air that was in the room. “Ah much better.” the fox whispered as he felt the chills run down his body. Looking back at the shelves, Kurama began to scan through for the books that was needed for his report at the academy.

Within less then a couple of minutes Kurama already had eight or nine books in his arms. He was about ready to take a seat when he herd foot steps running towards him and someone's voice yelling. Kurama slightly looked to his left where he saw a couple of students running through the library. Kurama frowned, didn't they know that there was no running in the library. He opened his mouth to say something and the first boy bumped him causing him to drop all of hiss books.

Kurama looked down at all of the books and then at the student whom seemed a little worried. “Uh, I am so sorry!” the young soul reaper said to Kurama, as much as that was annoying Kurama smiled kindly not at all mad about it. “Oh that's alright, just don't run in the library.” Kurama said as the guy jumped nervously and turned running the opposite way as the girl he was running from was catching up to him. Kurama sighed as they were running in the hallways. “Young love.” he said to himself as he bend down to pick up the books.
