She stands at 3 foot 1 inches tall, weighing in at 54 pounds. Her hair is purple in color and reaches down to the floor, the strands trailing across the floor just a bit. She has beautiful emerald eyes that shine with the innocence of youth, small cheeks accent the beauty of her childish face. Her mouth is small, decorated with a tiny pink tounge and a row of white teeth. When she smiles it seems to light up the room with the brilliance of innocence. She has small hands and fingers, just barely able to hold and lift her own sword. Her chest and torso are as petite as one would expect of a girl her age.

Nanao is often found wearing a microsized version of the traditional shinigami robes. Also, because of her size (or maybe in a mimic of her adopted father), she wears her sheath on her back. Even with the extra bit of height that affords her, the tip still drags slightly against the ground. The large brown colored sheath and a purple ribbon in her hair are slight modifications to her uniform she has made.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Personality:
Nanao is the very picture of the innocence of youth. Her child like apperence is...well not just an apperence. She truely is a child, just as naive and good natured as any other child you may meet...except that she is not like any other child. She is a shinigami, the youngest one to be assigned to ever be assigned a squad. Her mind is like her age, that of a 5 year old. She is very bright, but just so ignorent and naive of the way that the world around her truely is. She also can not yet read or write, but loves picture books and being read to.

She is a very curious person. Nanao has a drive and thist to learn all she can about anything. The fact, as mentioned before, she can not read holds her back much in this aspect as she has to see something and not just read about it. Because of this she loves stories about the history of the world and soul society. She also has gotten in trouble for mimicing what she see's, having once attempted a kido far to advanced for her after seeing an older student perform it.

Nanao has an odd mix of shyness and outgoing when meeting new people. When she is meeting certain people she clams up and tends to hide behind some one she knows. Other people she will bounce around immediately as if she already knew them. It may be that some people just look or feel scary to a little girl while others do not.

She is also the toughest, bravest little shinigami you can ever find. She is happy to tussle with anyone anytime. She is much like her adopted father in this way, fighting back fear to try to protect the people and things she loves in the world.

Nanao is a very kind person. She loves to share with people and make new friends. Despite her willingness to fight, she does not much care for it. She would prefer to make friends over ice cream then bash on their heads all day..except when it comes to non shinigami. Being a graduate of the shino academy, and being so young, she has been a bit brain washed into seeing the world as black and white. Shinigami good, others bad.

B A C K G R O U N D

History/Background:

Her life on earth is...well non existant. She was born in soul society, Rukongai district to be exact. Her mother was a woman of the evening, one who had the...fortune of bedding a future captain of the shinigami, whose name is currently unknown. She is...what you could say an excess amount of spirit pressure that was released, through ejaculi, into the mother and formed into a stable human shape. She was ''born'' about 2 years after that fact in a small hospital in the Rukongai.

The girl was treated pretty horrible by her mother. She was a burden to her. A crying, needy burden that held her back from earning as much as the other girls in the brothal. It was not till about 48 years later that she found out that the man who had cured her with this burden had become a captain in the Soul Society. Being the gold digger she was, the mother tried to use her unwanted daughter as black mail. She threatened to release a sob story to the Soul Society new paper about the captain who had raped and left her with a child. Tell them how he had never offered support, and how she had to raise her daughter in a brothal.

Her mother was killed shortly after the threat under mysterious circumstances, and took the name of the captain who fathered her child to the grave. Left an orphan, the girl with the looks and mind of a 5 year old found herself taken to the shinigami academy. Her basic training on how to carry and swing a simple blade was rush. She learned barely what a kido was. She was left ill prepaired and a disgrace to the graduate standards of the shinigami academy, but she was mysteriously pushed through with mysterious monetary donations to the right people.

Now she finds herself prepairing to be a soul reaper ''apprentice'' as her instructors had called her. She joined squad 13 soon after leaving the academy. There she met the man who would adopt her as his own, Ichigo Kurosaki. She soon became not only his adopted daughter, but his apentice as well. She spent several hours a day for weeks practicing her swordmanship with him. She shadowed his every move. She idolises him as a not a hero of captain, but as her father and teacher.
