A Diamond in the rough!!! Surrounded by copious amounts of alcohol!!

Perseus was sitting in a bar in karakura city downing as much Vodka as he possibly could. It was a cold winter night outside, something that he was used to having lived in Russia for many years before coming to Karakura City. Eventhough he could make his own Vodka mostly from air he liked to go out to the bars and drink. At the moment Perseus was in a slightly abusive relationship with his new boyfriend Ark, former owner of a special accesory store. Perseus was a regular drinker but the relationship was really taxing on him so he started drinking more and more frequently.

So far Perseus had probably drank about one and a half bottles of hard Vodka on the rocks in less then an hour.

Just sitting there at the booth of the bar Perseus was there really just waiting for someone hot enough to come into the bar so he could go and flirt with them to try and feel better from Arks abuse.

"OI! HOW MANY TIMES DO I GOTTA TELL YA?! DON'T LET IT SIT THAT LONG!" Despite all the racket coming from the kitchen, it was just another average day in Pele's Passion, the Hawaiian style restaurant in the heart of Karakura's downtown district. The restaurant was owned by a Hawaiian that had moved to Japan 17 years ago. While it had been a bit of a long shot, the man's recipes and cooking (since even though he owned the place, he still cooked from time to time) were good enough to make a distinct impression on the citizens of Karakura City. The man, going by the name Axel, was know for his distinct personality, as well as his restaurant. Of course, while he usually kept a calm and seemingly uncaring demeanor, he took his restaurant, and especially what went on in his kitchen very seriously. Today's outburst, however, was because of a new chef he had hired on due to the increase in customers. The rookie still had a bit to learn, at least about cooking in Axel's kitchen, and Axel had spent most of the day teaching him the ropes and yelling at him for making mistakes. Ironically, despite his slight temper in the kitchen, pretty much all of his staff was actually fond of Axel, preferring him over some pompous British chef who yelled at the staff only because it was what had made him popular. While this rookie may think that his boss is just an ass, after he learned the rules of the kitchen and was accepted by the rest of the staff, he would see that this was probably one of the best restaurants to work at. Hell, as long as you could follow Axel's rules, and could actually cook, it was actually quite a nice gig.

Of course, that was all during the day, and now that it was finally closing time, Axel was ready to finally take some time to relax. Having given the rookie a final speech, something to make sure that the kid actually came back the next day, Axel was ready to close up an head off for the night. Locking the door behind himself, Axel didn't waste even a second till he had pulled a cigarette from his pocket and lit it with a snap of his fingers. Taking a long inhale of the smoke, Axel took a quick look around before beginning to walk in an all too familiar direction. No, Axel wasn't going home to his apartment just yet, but instead was heading to a bar he frequented. Although it was already late, most of the bars in the area stayed open much later, giving Axel enough time to drink to his hearts content. Of course, Axel did not rush to the bar; since pretty much all bars were "smoke free", he'd have to either finish his cigarette before he got there, or be forced to toss it out. A sigh escaped his lips as he really did hate the damn "anti-smoking" laws that had caught on back in the 21st century. Then again, the whole hype to stop smoking didn't really exist anymore, and most of the laws were still in place because of family issues, not so much being against smoking itself. Still, it meant that he couldn't smoke inside of the bar, a real hassle.

Luckily for him, Axel had timed his pace just right so that, as he was approaching the bar, he took the last puff of his cigarette. Tossing it on the ground, Axel stamped it out with his foot before taking the last few steps up to the bar. As he opened the larger framed door, Axel saw the all too familiar sight of the dim lights and long counter. He really didn't care too much about the other people who were there tonight, and quickly made his way up to the counter. "Oi, give me a bottle of rum; skip the shot glass, I'll take it straight up" Axel told the bartender, who laughed at his order, making some comment about Axel not "pussyfooting" about. It didn't take the bartender too long to get his order, and soon Axel had the open bottle of rum in his hand, taking a swig out of it as if it were nothing. Unlike most people, who had to take their hard liquor in shots, sometimes even mixed because of the burning sensation and high alcohol content, Axel enjoyed the sensation (though to him, it really wasn't much), and could easily handle more than twice the amount of alcohol as a normal man. Of course, this didn't stop some of the other patrons from looking over at Axel questioningly. Then again, none of them were brave enough to say anything to the man, since he looked like he could kick all of their asses, and given his nature, he probably would too. But, as usual, Axel didn't give two shits what others though about him.

Perseus looked around as people walked in and out of the dimly lit bar until someone caught his attention. He felt a slight temperature difference as a tall, slim, punk looking man walked into the bar. Just from this PErseus knew that he was someone different from the others in the bar. not to mention that he was totally hot. Perseus thought it was time to turn on the charm and try to snag himself a one night stand or some trouble, he just wanted to get away from Ark from the night, though at this point being away from Ark for one night would get him in serious trouble the next day.

Perseus got up and walked over to the bar stool next to where the other man was sitting and sat there. He didnt notice that his makeup had faded away and a big black bruise appeared on his face and on his arm, both of them caused from Arks abuse. "A bottle of 98% pure vodka please" he said to the bar tender as the bar tender then brought him the bottle and said "Hey perseus what are those bruises? Are you having problems with Ark again, if this keeps happening im going to have to call the police or something to have them interviene"

"No, everythings fine....." Perseus said in a sad tone "There was just a small explosion while i was making some things in lab and i hit a wall." as he then started to drink from the bottle.

The bar tender then gave Perseus a set of keys and said "Alright, the bar is closing soon and the staff needs to get out of here, assuming that your spending the night here please close up when ever your done." Perseus then drank more from the bottle and nodded his head.
