Stranded In Blue
Sat Jul 09, 2011 1:51 pm
We
planned for a week of luxury, because what more did we deserve? We gave
them their money in return for a fabulous week atop rich blue waters
under the rejuvenating sunshine. The fortune we paid to board that
cruise ship seems so meager now as we scavenge for food and fight to
survive. It took one mistake to send us into the devastation we find
ourselves in now. And it'd be nice if it at least weren't a mystery as
to what this "mistake" was. One moment we were two thousand people sun
bathing, swimming, and getting drunk; the next moment there was a
horridly loud thud, and then alarms were blaring and people were
screaming from fright. Hours later, we were only a few hundred people on
an island. One complete walk around the island clarified the truth that
was hanging over all our heads: we're lost on an uninhabited island and
completely surrounded by the blue of the ocean. We are stranded in
blue.
