It was beginning to get to the real difficulty of this battle, for Daigoro Ito. Attack after attack was lashed off at the shield in his right arm, and as he continued onwards, he felt each attack slowly shattering the shield as it went. If time went on like this, he'd only have a physical attack to use as a damn counter! He needed Kaiedo to pull out something powerful, something that might appear to him as if Daigoro had done something unimaginable. The man stepped backwards, the barrage of attacks now over, then feeling another attack come in and hit the self-same shield. He gritted his teeth as the shield reduced in size, shaking his head out of annoyance, more than anything.
Physical Attack; 30 units; x 10; Shield B
Energy Wave; 100 units; Shield B.
The man's calmness was strange to Daigoro. He was in the heat of battle, and he wasn't worried. He wasn't annoyed by anything, he was just letting it flow past him. Daigoro... found himself respecting Kaiedo for that, to be honest. To be able to see past the destructive nature of the battle and simply lose yourself in the midst of it amazed Dai, and he felt like... being that calm would be something that he could strive towards. Despite his own calmness, he always wore his emotions all over his face, and this was no exception. He was showing the strain of this fight already, and he wasn't enjoying the battling that they were having going on. He moved his arms out to the sides and then in front of him, letting the battered shields stay out before him. He could have gone into Assimilated Form here and now, but he didn't like the idea of it, to be honest. Instead, he would stay in Bankai, and hope that he could defend sufficiently against Kaiedo for the time being...
”I assume that whatever you are storing the energy for, it has to do with when your shields finally fall. Then, let us see it.” Hm...? The man drew in his own Reiatsu, for a second. Daigoro watched him through curious eyes, as the mask over his face vanished and a wind began to whip around him. Interesting, he was removing his mask? Not only that... but he had an interest in the Wolf of Finality. That interested Daigoro himself, wondering exactly what would happen in the midst of this battle. He chuckled to himself and prepared the shields for whatever would come next, almost anticipating and predicting the next word that would come out of Kaiedo's mouth, wordlessly mimicking the shape of his lips as he did so.
”Bankai.” That was the moment that the world around Daigoro stopped. He stepped back slightly, preparing himself... steadying his stance, waiting for it all to occur in front of him. The ball was in Kaiedo's court now, he was sure of it. A second later, and a deafening roar came out from the man as his power was released. Daigoro had to dig himself into the ground in order to keep himself stable, narrowing his eyes as he watched Kaiedo's power increase right before his eyes. The new appearance startled the white centurion, and yet... it suited him. A confident smirk crossed the face of the dug-in wolf-Shinigami, and he waited for the next attack to come from Kaiedo, who seemed to waste no time in creating a trio of Garganta. The man pulled a handgun out and fired, ten shots in all. Dai, who was dug in to the ground, had no time to react as the bullets rang out against his left shield, each shot reducing the size with single and loud rings. As they decreased in size, the shields decreased in strength, and he saw it happen before his very eyes. That shield... that was over half remaining... just shattered into nothing.
"Fuck..." The next attack rang out as well, and Dai only just had enough time to raise the shield in defense. Maybe it was from the sheer force of the Cero and it's strength... but the other shield cracked and shattered from the strain. There was no doubt about it, the very force and strength of that Cero... Dai found himself knocked back, shield-less and weaponless, sliding backwards across the ground with a loud shout of annoyance and pain. Nobody had ever... stopped his shields before. Nobody had ever managed to shatter them since Ulquiorra. The wolf glowed, and faded, the bright light disappearing around the laying body of the redheaded Shinigami on the ground. He groaned slightly, and sat up, rubbing his head, feigning anything from this having happened, trying to act as if... he had just lost the battle. He slowly got to his feet and gave a soft smile, looking at Kaiedo through a pair of kind eyes, tilting his head to the side with a small laugh and a stretch, before letting his right arm glow. He bit his lip slightly, and looked up at Kaiedo as the glow from the arm lit up even his face under the brightness of the sun with an eerie glow.
"It appears that you won, Kaiedo... Now I advise that you step aside. I don't want to kill you with this..." He chuckled, and raised his hand up slowly, the kind smile still on his face as his fingers pointed forwards. His left hand reached down to the zanpakuto at his side, slowly drawing it and sliding the blade along his index finger, offering the sacrifice of blood needed. His voice rang out next, monotone among the silence of the wind, and the stillness of the dust that was only now just falling, "Mem...ory taken. Understanding gained." Those four words designated the very action that he had just performed, the final art of Runa Ookami, and the very reason he could stand to take so many attacks from Kaiedo. He chuckled softly, speaking clearly so that Kaiedo would understand the truth that he was trying to garner with all of this, "Runa Ookami, Final Art. Wolf of Finality." That's when his arm began to glow brighter, with a bright white-and-red glow, every last iota of energy, the kicks, the attacks, the Ceros, everything. Every. Last. Piece. All of this energy was gathering in his hand, and one could tell just how much power was going in there as the very air around the orb of light began to distort. He smiled softly, and chanted three words one would never expect a Shinigami to speak, let alone use.
"Gran Rey Cero." Silence fell for but a lone second, the man smiling wildly as the energy was released. Now, Daigoro was kind. He wasn't going to go along and kill the man, no. He had no reason to, and he didn't want any enemies within the Monsuta. In fact, if he could see Kaiedo as a "friend", then maybe it'd help prove that peace would come out all along? But Dai needed a release for this energy, and he needed to show Kaiedo just how much strength he'd put into Dai. For the Wolf of Finality didn't just show that Dai could counter with everything they'd given him, it was also a counter of other sorts. One that showed the truth, the final truth of the world to them, just how much they'd put into fighting him, you know? And, well... as the Cero ripped a scar in the land in front of Daigoro, the sheer force of the combined energy now manipulating the very image of the light rays and distorting visuals around the Cero... and after a second's attacking, Daigoro was done, and the Shinigami fell forwards and onto his knees, breathing heavily.
"G...guh..." He'd never had to use that ability... it was taxing. He closed his eyes and slowly got to his feet shakily, walking towards Kaiedo with a small and benevolent smile on his face, nodding softly towards the general direction of the Vizard and chuckling softly, "That was an impressive show, Monsuta, I must admit. I..." He stretched again and laughed heartily, all previous shows of battle-wish gone from his mind, "I haven't worked so hard in an age. I must thank you, for showing me. There is not any need to fight just due to orders. Sometimes..." He placed his hands into his pockets and smiled as he stared into the sky, "I could enjoy just sparring with someone... who I could maybe... call a 'friend'?" He proffered another smile, not showing any animosity to this man, despite knowing that there was a day that they may be mortal enemies in all of this. Even if they turned out to be enemies in the end, at least he'd be able to show this unemotional man a kindness that... he wasn't even sure he'd experienced before...
