LUCIFER'S THEORY OF MAGICK
I apologize if this thread is in the wrong place, wasn't sure where to put it and was in a hurry. In creating this I did not intend to offend any particular group or person (Which I probably didn't offend anyway but just in case).
Magick is often defined as the change of reality or things within reality in accordance with one's will, often when there are no logical or possible means. This does leave a large area for interperetation, as science and other categories could easily be described as 'Magick' by this definition. The reason I put a 'k' on the end of it is because its what many wiccans and pagans do, to alienate the term from illusions and tricks. In short it means I am referring to real Magick, more or less.
The purpose of this thread is to better define the term of Magick, how it works and what it is, to explain certain other factors, and then describe the practice of Magick.
Before I can explain Magick itself, I must first explain other factors. First off, all reality is information, and therefore an aspect of mentality. When you look at something, your brain tells you that you're looking at it. But that is just information, a signal that goes from your eyes to your brain. In no way is it a guarantee that anything is there. Reality, more so, is a collective of information based on a system of duality and balance, rather than a constant and unchanging series of concrete objects and situations. Even if there were actually something there to look at, it would make no difference to you, because you live in the information. Basically, substance is information. They are one and the same.
Now that I have explained the nature and constitution of reality I can explain what sustains it. You cannot have a perfect system that is truly natural - meaning that it happens without intelligent intervention or force of some kind. As complicated as our world is, there are a few concepts that have no explanation. Positive and negative, for example. We do not know exactly why protons attract electrons. They just do. If it were gravity, the electrons would all be attached to the protons, not spinning around it. Neither would electricity behave as it does. Right there, on the sub-atomic level, is the foundation of all matter - and it is something you cannot explain. It just works. That is supernatural force, meaning it have no explanation within the rules and systems of reality and seems to defy natural logic. And in many more places than one, this supernatural force sustains all things natural. Therefore, supernatural force exists, and it can break the laws of reality.
So here is the big question. What could possibly control reality? What could possibly control information, matter, substance? You are doing it right now. Reading and understanding information, controlling a body (which is just a machine used for connection with this world), and many other things are performed by all people constantly. You can think up wild new ideas, all on a whim. That is control over information. Magick is imposing that control over information upon reality, and bending it to one's will. It is often done more instinctually than logically and emotions are very important in the performance of Magick. Magick is often powered by energy, strong force similar to emotions or feelings, which is often generated by entities in the process of making a change or when responding to a change.
That being said, it is often best to do Magick when you are free from feelings of limitation. After all, the only things that are truly impossible for you to do are only the things that you believe are impossible. Ritual was devised for this purpose. It is comparable to meditation, by removing one's mind from mundane thoughts and feelings and separating oneself from the idea of 'normal' existence because normal existence often tells you that you cannot do things or must do them a certain way with certain objects. This enables one's 'energy' to be much more potent, and therefore provoke a much stronger result.
A critical aspect of Magick is willpower. You can't do anything that you don't want to do with Magick. Its not like something worldly when you can just force yourself to do something. It is for this reason that it is important to be attuned with and fully aware of your true feelings and true self. If you cannot accept yourself, you probably should not perform Magick because your subconscious feelings will manifest in unpleasant ways.
The information I have given is just the basics and a tiny fragment of my theory, but I hope it has been helpful or at least interesting. Feel free to post thoughts/questions/comments.
