Captain's Spar

A crowd of shinigami began to gather around the academy, a scheduled fight soon to begin. It was a fight between captains, a show of strength to the others, and a source of inspiration for the upcoming war against the hollow. Overhead, the sun shined down brightly. The ground basked in it's heat as they awaited the beginning of the fight. Chatter and other conversations slowly began to die down as the announcer walked into the center of the arena. He looked at both sides of the arena and signaled the two to come forward. Everyone went silent, their eye's glued ahead of them. Sonomori got up from his seating, walking towards the center as signaled by the ref. The reiatsu pressure was strong, pounding down on the weaker shinigami like a heavy weight. It was even advised that the weaker ones stay away from the area, for the pressure of two captains fighting is immense indeed.

Sonomori's footsteps stopped a few feet away from the ref, his gazed shifted over to his opponent which had not been signaled to rise yet. His head wondered off for a bit, gazing upwards into the sky, being slightly blinded by the glares of the sun. The ref then signaled his opponent over to him with a common hand gesture. He began to explain the rules of the fight, however Sonomori was not listening. His ear's tuned in a little bit at the ref's words, "Remember, there are by standards do not go all ou-" Piecing and fragments of what the man was saying were barely even heard by the crowed. The atmosphere was tense, dense with reiatsu, so much so that it was like a hazy cloud of mist over the entire area. Finnaly the announcer walked out of the center and back down into one of the many tent-like structures set up around the arena. A loud bang of copper soon echoed loudly out from the shaded area, signaling the fight between the two.

Heero sat there on the ground meditating in his inner world conversing with his zanpaktou about this fight. He shortly after heard the ref call his name he stood up and removed his haori and shihakshou. He got whistles from some of the female shingami although they didn't phase him. He didn't do that for the attention he did it because some serious shit was about to go down and he would rather not wait for a new haori. He looked at his opponent then to the ref, the ref began to talk but he fully had zoned him out and only heard the part where he said begin.

Heero disappeared at the moment the ref said go drawing his zanpaktou and throwing the sheath to the ground. He was on the move and did not plan to stop and he wasn't about to waste any time at all and with that he said "BANKAI". Any shinigami in the area that were not used to such reiatsu would have fainted. Dust flew up into the air and Heero's reiatsu tripled if not more so. Heero was no playing around he almost never went bankai straight off the bat unless he planned on killing someone. However that was not the case here he just was not holding back. He had taken the gloves off and didn't care if he or his opponent got hurt. He came flying from the left with his first attack and came with in point blank range of his opponent and yelled "ZENSHOU" Which sent a reiatsu blast similar to Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou at his opponent point blank it would be impossible to block he followed that up with a level 90 hado kurohitsugi which he cast point blank on the captain.

Sonomori's eyes gazed at his opponent, reading him like an open book. The word "bakai" came as to no surprise to him, nor did the massive reaitsu. His body quickly shifted forward at his opponent, his sword not even drawn. "Sho, Sheki, Enkosen!!!!!!" These kidou unleased so fast from his body that his opponent's reiatsu had not even reached him before each kidou completed. He was using quite the rare ability, the merging of kidou. His body began to take on the effects of all three kidou, Sho, Sheki, Enkosen. A red light began to merge with a golden glow around his body, engulfing his figure as the masses of reiatsu classed. The kidou's effect had taken hold of his body, and been applified by each other. Enkosen engulfed his body, Sheki repelled the reiatsu back, and Sho blasted a hole in the reiatsu mass in front of him. Using this combination, all of the reiatsu that was thrown at him was negated offwards and his body moved through the hole that the Sho had made.

The grip of his sword quickly came into play within the clashing lights. "Effectuate ,Kurogaidoku!!!!" His body quickly began surrounded in a black substance, a matter that was so vile it seemed to rot the atmosphere around it. Not to mention, his opponent had just used a massive amount of reiatsu. Surely he was vulnerable for an attack. Knowing this, his body began to pulsate, what seemed like black dots began to flow off his body and into the air. Other flowing reiatsu began to be sucked into these black dots, like microscopic leaches. These leaches began to swarm outwards from the hole, seeming like a swarm of insects as they moved. They traveled quickly at his opponent, opening up to cover a larger range. Each particle began to be absorbed, these leaching creatures taking away the light that surrounded us in these very few moments. The gap in between movements seemed little to none, thus it would have appeared to the audience that the light had flashed white for only an instant, then turning black. However, these black dots were not just leaches. Each dot was a mini time bomb, absorbing reiatsu and timed to release it again in a massive explotion, attaching to the ground, to the air, and everything around us. They were in the air, on the ground, on his body, a black plague of impending doom.
