The Demon Fox (Kurama and Selena)

It was strange, that he felt such a strong connection to Selena Mino. He was normally more cautious around people he just met, but she was different. He wasn't quite sure why, but he felt safe when he was around her. He felt less alone than he had been before. Knowing he wasn't the only non bloodthirsty demon in existence was nice to know. It was also nice to know that there was a haven were Demons and Angel's co-existed. He would have never thought such a place to really exist if he hadn't seen it for himself. She had been one of the few people he'd ever met to see his true form and learn his true identity, but she was the first who had learned both as quickly as she did.

He had learned the landscape to Iramasha Island fairly quickly, but he still hadn't socialized with much of the locals. It would be good to get to know them, but he hadn't felt the desire too lately. Despite the fact that he was still looking for his purpose in life, he was fairly satisfied with how things were going. They were going better than they'd gone on earth, and much better than they'd been in Demon World.

Heh. It almost wanted to make him laugh. He wasn't so sure why he felt such a strong desire to find some form of a purpose in life. Maybe as a means to separate himself from the other demons? He was far more intelligent than most demons, and maybe it was an internal desire for people to recognize that? He honestly found it sorta pathetic that he felt that strong of a desire to find himself a place, but nonetheless he felt the desire. Who knows, though. Perhaps he'd find what he was seeking here, and his search could end. He hoped so, at least.

He walked down the halls of the Iramasha base, eager to visit Selena. He thought about the last time he'd seen her, when he walked through the strange portal. He remembered the skeleton that spoke to her that she soon disposed of. He still wondered what it had done to aggravate her. He didn't have much thinking time left, as he approached Selena's room. He knocked on the door, and waited for her to answer.

Kurama waited a few seconds, and the door to Selena's room opened. His face turned a slight shade of red, seeing what little clothing she was wearing. "I'm sorry if I caught you at a bad time... I just wanted someone to talk to." Kurama's face was still facing her, but as not to disrespect Selena, his eyes were looking downward, although he had to say she looked very good.

Kurama hadn't had very many female friends, and so he didn't know what would insult a female or not. He'd heard from many people that they were very complicated, and every time he heard that, he almost took it as a challenge to understand women. He was sure they weren't as complicated as people made them seem, after all, most men were just idiots. They'd get what they wanted, and then treat the woman like shit. He figured a lot of human girls liked it though, because from what he'd seen, they tended to get with guys that would treat them bad. They'd complain, and eventually leave the guy, only to fall back into the arms of another asshole. It was a vicious cycle, one that confused him.

He wondered if it was just human girl, or all females that fell into this? He knew demon women weren't like this. Once a man would start to treat her bad, which would inevitably happen, she would snap back at him. Maybe human women were just more fragile. It would make sense that they were more emotionally fragile, as it was a fact that they were more physically fragile.
