Meeting

Captain Hitsugaya walked into the meeting chamber of the tenth squads head quarters carrying a small book before sitting at the head of a large wooden table dressed in the typical captains garb. It was late in the evening after the hot summer day had cooled off and all traces of the suns light were gone as he opened his book. It was a book of poetry from the human world that he began to read as he waited for the other captains to arrive. That he knew of it was to be the 9th captain April and 5th captain Sonormori. His teal eyes focused drifting slowly over the pages as he took in the words trying to understand the meaning behind them as his brows flexed in thought. “Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company...."He read to himself, he had never liked tea very much because of how it warmed him and made him feel like it was summer even if it was cold out.

He yawned and stretched out a bit as he waited before turning the page in his book. scanning the pages for a haiku he enjoyed his posture stiff in his seat and his mind quickly interrupting what he read. Turning the page again he sighed softly hoping that the others would arrive soon before he got to into his book. His legs now crossing on his seat to get comfortable. "I wonder how long April and Sonormori will be..." He said to himself drifting off further into his book.

A wonderful night for meeting of three, things lately has been rather wild. It must be that warm weather. Matter in fact as that warm breeze played with her long red-pinkish hair, the 9th division captain set off towards the 10th division. Her outfit was not similar towards other shinigami, it was a sleeveless black dress with a white sash that went across her narrow waist. April was rather smart that she was she wore shorts under it just for reason men who liked to flip skirts with a captain's haori fitted for slim and tender figure so it would not look gigantic like the Captain's before her. Swaying those hips back and forth, make the passing members look towards her but that smile and those massive bumbums that bounce caught their attention. "Hello!!" That sweet voice spoke to each person she walked by. This one guy ended up walking into the wall by accident, because of the distraction of April's beauty but overall she held that wonderful smile. Her teeth bite her lower lip before looking down at the basket with the melon for a second. "I hope they like this... I don't know what I will do with it!" April could not help but sigh heavily, she was nothing but a sweetheart and wanted people to be happy. She didn't know if the two captains liked melon but it was to be okay. Everything was going to be alright! Behind her ear was a rather beautiful lily.. Lily were hope or that was what she believed.

The night time breeze was simply amazing no less, less people were out at night wondering. Parties were going on without distract at lakes and waterfalls, why she was not invited, she didn't care. She would entire the night with two other captains. Slapping her forehead just realizing something simply amazing and laughed softly. "I don't wanna be late now! I do? The walk to 10th division was simply a five minute walk, that she didn't have to worry about being late at all. With that bright smile that showed might warmth to the finest people that would accept it the most. April Redwood knocked on the 10th division's door before entering the Captain's office. "Taicho-Hitsugaya! Hiya!" She bowed her head to him before approaching the tiny captain. He looked so young but she heard so many stories about how he was genius no less. She believed that he was a genius without a doubt. April placed the basket with the watermelon onto the desk softly. "I brought a watermelon. What a perfect night for melon don't you think? April just gave that smile that always wore, there was not a thing that could get that smile off her face. She could not help but notice that book on his desk. A book of poems... She just looked away and chuckled a bit to herself..

A few moments after the yawn escaped his mouth, a small echo of footsteps began to come from a corridor that lay a few meters back. They were calm with a simple rhythm, giving a relaxing atmosphere that could put the young to sleep. The time begin to pass, the footsteps still thudding off in the distance. Could the man be perhaps lost? No, he should have easily been able to since Toshiro's reiatsu. Or perhaps he was caught up with some "other" matter. It was at least 10 minutes for the door slowly began to crack, a loud squeal of some creature entering the room as a fur ball jumped off of a rather distressed man's head. The furry creature landed straight unto toshiro's face, clinging to it with glee.

Sonomori let out a deep sigh, his shoulders hanging down. "Sorry about that Toshiro-san, that damned thing has been following me since I entered the division house. As to what it is, I honestly have no idea." He walked over, grabbing himself a drink from the counter before moving over to the simple arrangement of seating, and falling promptly into the chair. He glanced calmly around the room, seeing that April was already here. "Ahh!" His fist was brought down upon his hand like a common Japanese gesture of realizing something. "That thing would make a perfect pet for you April!" His words were rather friendly, disregarding the fact that he had almost completely ignored her since he had entered the room. It was a rather awkward position, however he did not pay any mind, and quickly went back to sipping on his drink.

He looked at the Captain before smiling out of politeness. "Hello April..." He said looking over the Captain before looking at the watermelon smiling a little more now. "It is a very nice evening indeed to have watermelon... Granted every night probably would be." Noticing her gaze and laugh at his book he closed the book of haiku's before tucking it into his garb before rubbing his head his head looking apologetic. "I'm sorry I am usually early and i was not sure how long every one would be..." As the random creature jumped onto his face he glared behind it before grabbing it and throwing it at Sonomori "Damn it Sonormori! If your going to bring pets in here put them on a leash or something." He wasnt so mad about the pet it was more about not being called by his title, it was one of the few things he hadn't grown out of over the years.

He sighed and rubbed his face a little making sure nothing had gotten on it before looking at Sonomori. "Now then are we here to discuss any business or is this a a meeting to discuss anything?" He asked looking to April now. His eyes focusing on her before looking down to the watermelon. "I want to guess this will be one of those meeting with no real topic and excuse to drink?" He tilted his head slightly in a questioning manor. Looking back to Sonoromi now to see what happened to the animal that was around earlier. His teal eyes narrowing slightly at the small thing almost expecting it to jump at him again. "How is the fur ball?" He asked before looking to April again.

April could not help but have that smile grow even warmer just when Toshiro spoke of how every night was perfect for watermelon. He was absolutely right at that, summer was the season for watermelon! If there was not a watermelon then it was not a party. April looked away from him for just second just to hear Sonomori's footsteps coming from the other way, but when that door open, A fuzzy creature of some sort just jumped onto Toshiro's face! This was clearly unexpected but April could not help but laughed at the reaction of Toshiro. "Captain Toshiro you and him look almost the same!" April joked then turned to the 5th division Captain. He spoke about it being perfect for her. April could not help but wave her left at Sonomori, "No No! Hinawa-chan would destroy it for being cute and near me." Hinawa lately has been rather clinging to April, it was a bit weird. It was like Hinawa just wanting to be around her 24-7, and just protect her. Just at the thought of this, April just gave a deep sigh. April just stood there for a split second in a complete daze; but she woke from it quickly.

When Toshiro asked the question, those blue orbs looked away from his eyes and remained silent. April just didn't want to expect from the two captains and why they were here basically. April's right hand swept the pink hair out of her face to behind her ear, and spoke smoothly "To tell the truth I came to escape my serious vice-Captain, he has been an attachment to my hip all month long and scaring poor men away from the division. So much paper work..." A sigh escaped those lips as she closed those blue orbs shut and continued to speak, "So don't be surprise if she comes looking for me, might have to knock her out next time I leave." April just pondered a bit before opening her orbs to look at Sonomori then at Toshiro with her right hand on her rosy red cheeks and left hand holding her elbow. "So About you Sonomori-san?" Those pink lips smiled, but it was weird. She had admitted that she was wavy of her own vice-captain.

Sonomori simply winced as the ball of rather loud fur smacked into the side of his face. He moved up his hand, pulling the creature off and setting it on the chair handle beside him. "Well to be honest I dont have a reason for coming out to the meeting. I got nothing better to do than sit around and get drunk." He propped his feet up on the round table infront of him, his fingers petting the ears of the animal to keep it quiet. His head leaned back as he looked at the ceiling, taking a more serious tone. "Though, we probably do need to discuss that hollow incident in karakura. It seems that the city was badly damaged. More importantly, they infiltrated to easily. It's really been bothering me for quite some time now."

He quickly jumped back up, his hand pressing down gently on the head of the creature. "BUT!" His words cut short in the middle of his statement, picking up his drink and gulping the entire thing down in one go. "I need someone to take care of his damn thing. It just wont stop FOLLOWING ME!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!" He seemed almost aggravated in his words, picking up the animal and grinding his head in between his hands.

Toshiro looked to Sonomori a little irritated at the lack of respect for the furniture. "I have no problem drinking and i have no problem discussing that incident due to the importance of it... but i would ask you to show this building with more respect then to put your feet all over the table..." His eyes narrowing slightly before looking to April with a less serious look to him. Now pouring her and him sake into masu cups his eyes focusing on the fur ball, "Why not give it to a woman your interested in instead of pawning it off on one of us, maybe saying you saw how cute it was and it reminded you of them?"

Toshiro now looking back at April handed her the small wooden box like cup of sake before lifting his slowly to his lips sipping slowly before putting the cup back down on the table. His cold eyes focusing in a little more onto April's. "Would you prefer to be in this division where there is practically no one or have some one look out for you and help you with your paper work?" He laughed a little before lifting his sake to his lips again sipping more.

A knocking noise abruptly interupted the conversation as the door opened and Hisagi stepped inside. He looked tired to be honest, after all he had been up all night working on the paper work that Captain Redwood had left on his desk this morning with a note to meet her here at the 10th division office. It had been a while since Hisagi had been here and looking around he noted not much had changed, Hitsugaya was still the captain! He nodded his head at Hitsugaya and then got formal, taking a bow of sort to the two captains and the other man that must have been a captain as well. After all the note had said it was a captain's meeting. "Sorry I'm late, Captain Redwood.", Hisagi said before standing up straight and smiling lightly, he held a few papers in his hands, important documents filled with information for April to evaluate.

"I hope I'm not interupting anything...but Captain Redwood has some important documents to evaluate and prepare. I can't do everything after all.", he said, he was tired, and he looked a mess, but he tried to keep a positive attitude as to not bring down what seemed to be a jovial conversation. "If you don't need me captain...I can always wait outside?", he querried as he tried to fix his hair which was jumbled about as if he had just gotten out of bed. Maybe I shouldn't have come?, he thought to himself, This can wait, surely she doesn't want me here.. He gave a quaint bow again and began to head for the door, not sure if he was going or staying.
