Hanako Shikijou's Story
"Dreaming about a Dog"

"Koichi..."
Selena maybe the only person who knew how she felt about her hunting partner, Koichi Iramasha. Although he is the son of a twisted demon Iramasha named, Ketsu, Hanako has a strong liking for him. Normally, she loves dogs and Koichi is like a dog as well. Since Selena was the tension between her and Koichi, Hanako gets the impression that Koichi and Selena were together before and whenever they argued in her pub, Hanako simply stood there and watch. However, a few times, she has to yell at them, her two friends to leave her pub. Hanako's mind and heart felt heavier and her throat felt pinched whenever she thought of them leaving her. She did not tell Koichi yet about her great affection towards him as Selena was the only one she confessed to about Hanako's affection for both her and Koichi. Just affections towards them as friends. These thoughts are as reoccurring as her mild regrets of not telling Koichi. She kept a strong front towards him because who would want a partner who would break down by feelings? Probably like Ketsu would have told her, "The moment you break before me is when I shall exploit you, Girl." She has to keep things with Koichi professional, but it is just humane to feel like this. She wanted to hang on to these feelings so one day, she can tell Koichi when he comes for her.
"Selena..."
She looked at the intricate mark on her left hand last night, a mark given by Selena so she can contact her at anytime. However, it was dimmed and warm when it supposed to be cool and bright; that is why she hid it under her fingerless gloves, so that mark will not set off a clue that she could have powers when she does not. It is frustrating to know that does not have any useful powers other than being able to get close to Koichi whenever his spiritual aura spiked from anger. The best she could do was to punch, kick, fly (figuratively) and fire a pistol one-handed at an mobile empty soda can more than fifty feet away. When it comes to hunting down humans with powers, she occasionally get caught in an ambush and has to be rescued by Koichi or Selena. Other times, she was capable of taking them down with Koichi's help; few she does it on her own. Sadly, in her situation, Koichi was at Moscow at the time and Halo does not want her to interrupt his work when the bounty on 48 came up. She has no choice but to take the job on her own. It would be a big risk for her to take, but Shadin Yuudeshi, the Beast of Karakura was there, so he can help her capture 48. That ended with 48's death and Shadin paid her far more than her reward would have been. She would have taken the money and take off, leaving Yako to be taken in, but she has to choose staying by Yako's side to take him to Halo. That is where all the trouble began; she ended up in captivity because of a twist of fate that Hanako cannot explain all so easily.
Softly as she sleeps, she giggled...
Hanako turned in her sleep as she dreamed about being in a fair with Koichi and Selena. She knew it was a dream because there is no way that Koichi would be holding her hand and be happy with Selena being close by. But it is a human's eden to Hanako, a silly little world when something that never would happen...happened. Koichi and Selena are good friends, Koichi loves Hanako and Hanako is a kick ass woman of wonder with the powers to shake the earth, shoot fireballs and bend wind. The fair was gorgeous in the Iramasha Island. Although Tina Tal'Vohla was responsible for Koichi finding Hanako in the first place, Hanako can see her over a dunking tank for being mean to her when they met. Hanako does not understand why Tina does not like her; could not be Koichi because Tina does not like dogs at all. So many rides to go to for the night's fair; so many to choose. If by cliche, it would be the ferris wheel that many romantic confessions are made on top of it...where it is private and closer to the goddess of love could hear and give her blessing. But Hanako is not much of a worshiper or someone who believed in a fictitious character who ruled over a virtue like love. No doubt Koichi would believe in any deity who governed humans other than the Shinigami, or "Death Gods." As a little girl, she dreamed of many things like any other would, being strong and loved by many, even having a moment when she is needed the most. But that was shattered by reality as Koichi can handle himself and the only good she is to be a mere sidekick with a fancy title because she cannot be as quick as Koichi or was a busty babe like Selena. After all the accomplishments she made for a weak human being, she is in the end...
"Just someone who was there for the hero...nothing more..."
Before the morning sun peeked over the horizon, a subtle, yet noticeable rise in spiritual aura's power emitted from the sleeping girl, only to vanish the moment that the sun did peek over the horizon. It was not long before the sun's welcoming light revived Hanako from her slumber. She was in her long flowing gown given by Zane a day after she arrived in Kokuryuteishi's world. It has already been a week since her arrival and she mainly resided in her room or somewhere around the second floor. No one came for her and she was truly trapped in this huge mansion with Zane bringing food and drink up to her instead of her coming down to eat. It was questionable because she used to just go down and do not come back up until bedtime. That was until a foolish Shinigami managed to enter the Kokuryuteishi's world and stupidly confessed that he was after Hanako Shikijou. With that shinigami's death in Hanako's mind, she did not leave the second floor at all. No doubt that her freedom is still the same, but it was never the same since that shinigami's execution.
"Selena and Koichi would not come for me...they are smart enough not to get themselves killed trying to bust down Kin's door to save me..."
Hanako's mind repeated that line with her voice silenced. Her throat is pinched most of the time while a blissful dream kept her from feeling hopelessness. Hanako walked to the vanity in her nightgown to apply a quick and light amount of makeup to add a little glow to her natural beauty, unlike those who wore heavy makeup to look younger. However, she noticed two streams of morning tears, one from each eye. She wished she did not see that execution at all when she accidentally did when she has to come with Zane and Yako to attend. She wiped the tear lines from her face with a handkerchief on her vanity before she tried to imagine the fun memories with Selena and Koichi. This helped her at least smile so she can put on the makeup easier. After the makeup was put on, she definitely glowed in virgin beauty. She began looking into the closet for an outfit that would please Zane or Yako, so at least she could see a smile to brighten her dark days. There was a long skirt lolita that Zane and Yako complimented her for wearing, even though it is probably their fetish as well. At least she was not forced to have sex with either of them. She pulled out the lolita gown and put it on, giving an appearance of a noble mistress or a princess to them.

Zane's day started extremely early compared to when Hanako's begins. But this really didn't make a difference in him. He's been assisting Yako in watching over her for about a week now if he was counting correctly. Time has been slowing down recently, he thinks because it's eithier he's paying more attention to it or paying more attention to the things around him as he is doing activities. It seems that time is not flying by like it use to, which had posistives and negitives to it but that was something he wasn't paying attention to at the time.

Currently he would be seen in the personal gym in his house sparring with Yako. Between the two of them they were somewhat equal in skill. But due to Zane specializeing in defense and durability he could take alot more hits that Yako. Currently no one was keeping track of who was winning or who had more hits or points. It was just practice to them. He was pretty sure though that he's BH1s were tryin to. but at how they were fighting it was unsure when someone made a hit or blocked actully did anything. They showed no sign of getting hit and had very quick reaction times to each other.

After about a hour or two of just fighting hand to hand they started to use there abilities. Yako's scythe was by his side in his hands and 20 of Zane's sheilds were out. Quickly Zane's chi could be felt. It wasn't like it was spiritual pressure but it made the energy be known it was there. So after this happened in a flash the shields and Yako's scythe were meeting and colliding with each other. Some times Yako would get lucky and break a shield or Zane would get a opening to make a hit.

There was one main tactic to defeating zqane and that was to make him use up all his power which would take a long time for some people but Yako could recharge himself and fight again and again with Zane to power him out. There were fewpeople that knew exactly what his limit is and how to make it drop completely and Yako was one of the few. The battle was firce for awhile but then one mistake was made by Zane he let Yako get cornered and in the corners of this room was no light fo him and as he walked into it he knew he had lost this round. It would take a ton of power to make sure all spots were covered in corners but the he heard a creak on the cealing told him the end. Yako fell from in between the lights that hanged from the cealing and landed next to Zane. His scythe right around his neck showing that it would be near impossible for him to escape without death.

This meant the end of practice for now and Yako pulled the scythe away from his neck. Yako turned around and walked to another corner and was about to leave and when he was halfway in the shadows he said farewell to Zane and he said it back. A few moments ago he felt like something he had saw recently. Even through the shinigami wasn't excuted that way he felt like he was in the same posistion and yako must of know it as well. If Yako hadn't been brought back to k-world he most likerly would of been the one excuted not the shinigami. The feeling stayed inside of him through for awhile as he stared into space but then he sensed that Hanako had awakened and it was now a good time to go check on her.

He walked to the door that led to the mqain room of the second floor that connected them all together. He simply walked out of the gym and waited for her to come out of her room.

"Time better starting picking up it's pace or I'll have to find a way to fix it myself." he said in his mind.

"Caged Crow"

"You can come in."
Hanako heard someone at the side of her door and she knew that Zane would not enter while she was dressing. Knowing that she will stay indoors, Hanako was dressed in the long black lolita with the long nightgown underneath it for silk-like comfort and was barefooted. She walked from the closet to the window, observing the landscape. Ever since the execution of the lone shinigami, Zane and Yako were just as bothered as Hanako was mortified by the sight of her ally being killed without any honorable contest. Normally, she and Koichi would have spared their captives and take them into justice rather than killing them on the spot while they could be enjoying lunch or their wife's cooking. Zane could understand why she broke down into silence after that shinigami breathed his last breath of stale air. Even if it was three days since then, it still bothered her. Yako could have known how that felt. One moment, Hanako was just doing a regular bounty hunt, but because of that phenomenon, she is dragged into all this while it seemed they are trying to break her down so she would join them, just to make the pain go away. Since Zane was there to bring her food instead of having her come down, Hanako allowed Zane to approach her without her raising her guard. To any warrior, it would be wrong to attack a broken warrior, or try to take advantage of a damsel in turmoil.
"Do you and Yako think it is wrong of them to kill that soul reaper like that? Without any chance of fighting back?"
Hanako kept looking out the window with her right hand over her left as they are both suspended over her pelvis. The light projected some unnatural glow to her as if she was a fairy tale princess of darkness entering twilight. Her voice was smooth, yet softened from that emotional scar. With the faint eyeshadow over her eyes instead of underneath and the light blush adding to the glow, it is shown no sign of tears like a melancholy without tears. From the words spoken through her polished lips, she turned her head towards Zane, but he can only see the right side of her face hidden in darkness. Usually the summer morning sun would remind her of the good times as a child; waking up in the sunlight like a blessed child and greeted by her nanny, Kimiko with loving embrace and a soft peck on the head. But at the same time, it is the morning that the fiend, Vohlis attacked her and her father, slaughter their butlers and maids, kidnapping her and forced her to be a bargaining chip for the "Besevonnei." She raised her right hand over her left eye, the eye that Vohlis covered before speaking something quickly during the moment he kidnapped her. It felt cooler than her right eye and when she pulled her hand away, she noticed that nothing from her left eye; no tear water and no blood. She returned her right hand back over her left hand in front of her pelvis. Hanako awaits for Zane's answer.

Zane walked across the room and opened the door that had the word Guest on it. He only did this because Hanako said he could enter. Right away he could tell she was still hung on to the shinigami's death by what she was wearing. It was a completely black dress which represented morining someone who has died. It seemed like this wasn't going to end soon. He watched her as she faced him from the window. What he was seeing from his point of view was very impressive to him because of how the light reflected off of her. During this time through she asked him a question.

This one just sureified everything he guessed because it was indeed about the dead shinigami. Her question was about if it was wrong to kill him while he was defenseless. and with no chance of fighting back. It was a tricky question to answer for him but he thought he could handle it. After think about it for a little bit he came up with his answer to this difficult question.

"I think between all the options that were left killing him painlessly was best option and would you rather fight to the death. A much more painful death." he said.

"We can't just send him on his way back to the soul society and say have a nice day." he added.

"An Energetic Response"

"Maybe the best option..."
Hanako tightened her hands into fists, which tensed her arms. Her frown became tighter as she looked out the window. Hanako was angry, but she used the light to hide that. Zane told her what she deemed to be against her. Killing a defenseless warrior is no different than killing a civilian, thus killing a civilian is the same thing as murder. The Kokuryuteishi are nothing more than what they are perceived by others, a radical group who kills people, even if they are unarmed...like in London. Hanako remembered watching the news about the destruction of London with her patrons in her pub. It was devastating and because of it, no drinks are bought as both Hanako and her three patrons are playing pool to pass the time and recover from a loss like that. Hanako lost her mother because she remembered that her mother was at London at the time for a military meeting. The other three of her patrons have friends in London. All the Yuudeshi Network revealed was the fact that the Kokuryuteishi was responsible since Kin Iramasha, their leader appeared in London. Hanako looked down at her hands and noticed an unusual glow around her body, but from a distance, it is seemed that the sun was making the glow. Flickers and sparks appeared around Hanako as her spiritual aura is growing once more.
_"Wha...the?"
Looking pass her hands as she whispered to herself that question, she can see the sparks gathering into a circle around her feet. She relaxed her hands by opening while instinctively think of a ball. Cupping her hands together, she saw a marble-sized spark maintaining itself in her hands. Could it be power? If it is...Zane would be detecting it already. She needed to defend herself, because she is already on the line between being executed and being their enslaved ally. She will not be a murderer like Zane or Yako. From that resolution, she tried to calm down, make it look like that she is just angry. The sparkling stopped as Hanako turned around with a glare. Zane spoke the words like it is necessary, but Hanako knew how that felt to be the one under the ax without any way to defend oneself; it is sadism all the same, feeding on the fear of the defeated and forced the defeated to wallow in their last moments to seek forgiveness. The wait for a death is more tormenting than just feeling death coming through the pain. With the power out and Hanako showing her offended anger, she spouted out in defense of the executed shinigami. While shouting, she walked to Zane; normally, men would have been scared of women approaching them with an anger. Zane knew that she is a martial artist of level seven and hell would know what would happen to him.
"You are wrong! You are nothing, but a sadist for saying that! Have you been under an ax or have a pistol shoved in your mouth as your executioner waits? Yako probably felt the same because it could have been him if that offshoot phenomenon did not happen! GET OUT!"

The moment that Zane got called Sadist was the moment that he changed from nice to pissed off....

Zane continued to watch Hanako by the window as she mumbled about what he said to answer her question. But then a glow started to appear around her and he could sense for a few moments that she was a bit more stronger than usual. But then she turned around to face him and she just lit the fuzz to a bomb she didn't want to see. As she walked towards him and said that he was wrong and sadist was the key things that did it. If there were two words that Zane didn't like being called it would be sadist and heartless because those were two words that describe his father not him.

As she finished and was still coming closer he took a step forward. The expression on his face was not a happy one and it had no fear at all in it. Nothing but hate was in his expression and in his words.

"You dare call me sadist. That is a word to describe my father and I'm nothing like him. You know what Hanako I'm going to tell you more about my past. You see when I was a kid I ran away from my parents because they didn't give a dam about me. They sent bounty hunters like you to find me and none were nice at all. I would of died many years ago if it wasn't for the crosses and my powers." he said with anger in his voice.

He made a single shield appear between them.

"Does this shield look like a weapon to hurt other? I use my powers to protect this world not to hurt people. And I'll protect my cross with my own life because they saved me when I was helpless. And I'll do anything in my power to save them in return." he added with a little bit more calmness.

Hanako Shikijou's Story
"Justified?"

"How can you justify the crosses when they blew up my mother back in London? How can you only protect when these people killed thousands or millions who are unable to fight back? Tell me dammit!"
Hanako's rage was still intact and it is felt that her anger was only justified because it is true in her view. Hanako believed that she only has a father now and they have not talked since she moved out of the apartment to live in a house above her own pub. With the shield in the way, there is no way for Hanako to strike at him. The best she could do is to slam both her fists against it with an agonized look on her face. She looked at Zane with both rage and pain like his answer was not enough; just the memory of seeing the destruction of London left her with a common urge for vengeance against whoever killed her mother. The memory alone agonized her more than enough to not consider it as painless as the execution. First Vohlis tore her childhood to sunders and the Kokuryuteishi killed her mother when Hanako missed her since she was fifteen. She began pounding on the shield in futile fit of frustration.
"You left your parents...yet I was left without any... Damn you, Kokuryuteishi!"
Unlike most women who would have collapsed at the sign of futility, Hanako kept a strong stance as stepped back before making a solid kick against the shield. Because of her practice in martial arts, it is unlikely that she will wear herself out at any moment. She continued kicking at mid-height against the shield. Since the shield is not made of glass, it cannot cut her foot when she finally breaks through it. After the fifth kick, she stopped and stood there, glaring at Zane. Hanako's knuckled are bruised red and her right foot seemed to be suspended as Hanako was leaning a bit to the left. She breathes heavily from her assault as she limped back to her bed. She was hungry because she did not have any breakfast, thus why she cannot fight as well as she was before. She sat on the bed, recollecting her childhood with her mother. It was out in the park when Hanako was five years old. Her mother, also named Hanako was watching over her while her husband, Naoki was getting snacks from a nearby convenience store. Lil'Hanako was running around and collect the image of the world she is in. She looked down and noticed a twig that was small and broken, but it shaped like a Y. She picked it up and ran to her mother. "Ready for duty, Mama!" Hanako saluted to her mother with her left hand and the stick held like a pistol. "How about a little hand-to-hand combat? Grr!" Hanako Sr. replied before grabbing her daughter for a hug and teasing. Hanako Jr. squirmed and giggled at the attention she has for the last five years. "No! Stop!" Hanako Jr. cried out laughing as Hanako Sr. was tickling her. "Gahhh!" Both laughed together as Hanako Jr. lay on her mother's lap like a fake dead person.
"Ya beat me, Mama... Zane. Leave me...we should be having breakfast now..."
Hanako whispered to herself for a moment before looking at Zane, reminding him that it is still morning and neither of them had breakfast.

Zane watched as Hanako became even more angry with him. But his little out burst calmed him a little but anger was still in his mind. But he listened to what she had to say. He now knew why she was not alright with joining this realm or even being friendly to him right now. The crosses did kill people but that wasn't his cross at all. She asked why he protected all the crosses yet right now he was only protecting his own.

"I'm not justifing all of the crosses only my own. The Stone cross, the cross that protects this world and only that." he said.

"Yako's Cross only heals and nothing more. Neithier of us kill thousand,millions, not even a low number like 4." he added.

He watched as she punched and kicked the shield be tween them multiple times. Even if She did destroy it she would be able to hit him or strike him. Without another there just in time to block. But after she broke it, she stopped suddenly and went back to her bed and mentioned breakfast. She was right neithier of them had have it and zane was low on strenght from training he actully start to feel like his head was spinning from not having enough energy.

"I'll go fix something for Breakfast now then." he told her and turned around to leave.

He was right next to the door when he said a few things to Hanako remembering that Hanako's mother suposedly died in london.

"I hope your day becomes better than it is right now and as for your parents if they were kind enough that you miss them then I hope that your mother wasn't killed but maybe captured. Unless of course you've found something to prove otherwise."

Then he opened the door to leave.

Hanako Shikijou's Story
"Discovery in the Rain"

"My mother is the kind one... I don't give a damn about my father or his jealousy."
Hanako despised her father because he neglected her and left her under the care of Kimiko, the nanny who truly cared about her when the other servants only cared because her mother was with her when she was only a cute little princess. Why would a father be jealous of his own child? Because his wife chose the child over him? Hanako thought that her father was only worried because his wife went missing, not his child. He could never give a damn about his own child. He even tried to take the Shinto's Blade away from her when she is the one who is fighting for her life when he would only give the shotgun to the demon. After Zane was out of earshot, Hanako wanted to mourn over these poor memories, but that is not what her mother would want. She has to escape somehow.
"But how..."
Hanako pondered that, but what could be her key was something that happened earlier: Fire. Maybe if she could find a way to make the wind move like fire did when she summoned it by accident, she could jump out of the window after breaking it and used it to soften her landing. That would help a lot, but she has to be outside to test her theory. But that would mean that Zane will be there with her, so she cannot test her powers. If she is to escape, she has to use her powers on a sink or swim game where she has one chance and only one chance. She has to trust in her abilities and her wits to make it successful, but how? Hanako laid down on the bed with her legs bent along with its ledge. Knowing Zane, he would be bringing her breakfast up to her. He wanted her to be healthy so when it comes, she would be fit enough to join the Kokuryuteishi, which is very unlikely to her.
"Some people learned their powers by accident...maybe if it was in accident, I could use it to do something about this rather than waiting for Koichi to come for me like some damsel in distress."
Hanako whispered quietly so Zane could not hear it. She stared at the blank ceiling high above her head and tried to visualized the Osakan sky that she always saw in her childhood. Yet, the white ceiling loomed over her as the turmoil seeped into her heart. She truly misses Koichi and if he managed to find her, she would apologized about going on her own to handle a bounty. But it was not much to apologize for because business was bad at her pub with the repeated hollow attacks happening around her area. Maybe if she stayed, Koichi can find her easily, but if she escaped, it would be less resistances blocking Koichi's path. She is not around to hear Koichi's grand plan, but there must be something that she could do to help him.

After Zane went out he was in the center room that led to the first floor and created a shield platform to go down. After doing so he just stayed on the platform until he reached the kitchen. The kitchen was set up so you could make one meal in a certain saection instead of having to go running around this massive room. He could make comman breakfasts like pancakes and waffles or he could do much more special things but it wasn't one of days where he was going to. He was just going to make choclate chip pancakes since they were nice and easy to make. For extras he would do bacon and some fruit which would probably be strawberries since they went rather well with pancakes. One thing was different from these pamncakes and normal ones through, since he was out of regular choclate chips he had to use dark choclate ones. He hoped that she wouldn't mind this at all.

While everything was being cooked, Zane thoughtof the past that he would like to forget. But it seems the longer that Hanako stays here the longer it keeps creeping up on him to surprise and scare him. He still remember the day before he left/ran away. It was not a normal one, at all for his parents were on a vacation some where else in this realm. But most messed up things is they left him in hands of servants while he was left behind. But during the vacation it was also servants vacation so they all left and he was alone. He got a note from his parents telling him to take care of himself while he was alone. If this didn't happen he probably wouldn't of left and he would be the star child of two of richiest people in k-world.

If you asked him to say one thing to describe his parents he would of said they are heartless when things involve money and bussiness. So through the breakfast was ready and Zane had to stop going down memmory lane. He took out two of the many plates in this house. It made him think also that he was even doing great without his parents. He had his own home and is a cross commander. But of course they were doing better since their company was only growing better and spreading they always wanted to go to other worlds so they can have bussiness their as well.

Zane now had both his and Hanako's plate set up. Her plate had two choclate chip pancakes,3 stripes of bacon, and some strawberries. While his plate had 3 choclate chip pancakes, 3 strips of bacon, and some slices of banana and strawberry. Last but not least he got orange juice for both himself and Hanako. He re created his plat from and made a second plat form for the food and set it on the shield. It seemed strange that you would use a shield for a tray or table but it was possible for him to do so and he did so.

Eventully he was back on the second floor and off his platform with the second one following. He opened the door and walked in with the food behind. The shield holding it all moved closer to her so she could get it herself.

" I hope you enjoy it I did have to change it a little but I still hope you do." he said.
