Shikai Description:
Spoiler:
Byakko’s Zanpakutō changes into a khakkhara when the pharse Kurayami mochidasu nasai, Hisakatanaito! is said. The khakkhara is a straight, Buddhist ringed staff that is thirty point seventy inches in length. A metal finial holds six metal rings that can be used to blind an opponent. The very tip of the metal finial is a sharp point which can be used to attack weak points of the body. The bottom end of the khakkhara has a metal butt, that ends in a sharp arrowhead like point, which can be used to thrust and hit an opponent. Set on the staff, where the metal finial is attached, is a green jewel that seems to glow and has a white moon set within the jewel that shines with an inner light. The khakkhara is black-lacquered that has high quality brown leather Tsuka-ito wrapped around it that is trimmed in gold.

Shikai Abilities:
Engetsu (Heavenly Moon Sickle, lit. Crescent Moon): Engetsu (Heavenly Moon Sickle) is an attack when Hisakatanaito is swung, a ray of white is released and travels through the air at a target. The 'ray of light' is in the shape of a crescent moon.

Mangetsu (Heavenly Lights, lit. Full Moon): A second ability of Hisakatanaito is called Mangetsu (Heavenly Lights), this ability causes the metal finial that holds the six metal rings of Hisakatanaito to glow as bright as a full moon visible on a cloudless sky. When the staff is spun, a ray of moonlight to released to blind opponents for up to one pose. This allows Kenichi to either escape, or to attack. It however, when this is done, it requries a cool down period of three poses before it can be used again.

Mikadzuki (Shadow Merge, lit. New Moon): A third ability of Hisakatanaito is known as Mikadzuki (Shadow Merge). This allows the Kenichi to fade into shadows and move between shadows. However, when light is shown into the shadows, the user will appear as a shadow. This allows the Kenichi with the ability to travel short distances within the shadows (a quarter mile range). Additionally, this allows Kenichi to hide from those following him or as another means of escape.

However, he can do the opposite, and increase the gravity over an area or on a single person or group of people by 100 times (1000 pounds or pressure). With this control of gravity, Byakko can also cause an object or a person to be moved and thrown, or change the direction that either an object or a person is moving.

Bankai Name: Shugosha no Tsukiyomi Hisakatanaito (Guardian of the Moon Goddess Lunar Knight)
Call Out Phrase: Bankai, Shugosha no Tsukiyomi Hisakatanaito

Bankai Description:
The khakkhara changes color completely, going form black to white, while the green jewel changes into a blue jewel with an image of a black moon set within a whirlpool of white shines from within. Additionally, Byakko’s cloths change form the normal Shinigami Uniform to a more Monk themed Shinigami Uniform. Forearm guards and gauntlets appear and protect his hands and arms form attack, while shin guards appear and protect his legs from attack. Additionally, five moons appear behind him in the different phases, waxing crescent, new moon, waining gibbous, full moon and half moon.

Each of the five spheres or moons, waxing crescent, new moon, waining gibbous, full moon and half moon, are ten feet in diameter, making them taller than people. Due to this, no matter how you look at them, they appear to be five of the moon’s phases no matter what angle they are viewed from. The white areas of the spheres appears to be made of some sort of crystal but appears a milky white like quartz, while the black areas look like smoky dark or black crystals and both blend perfectly together.

Bankai Abilities:
Each of the spheres or moons are highly durable and are difficult to break but have been cracked or chipped before but they still function as long as 70 percent of the sphere is still intact, and as long as there is one unbroken sphere, the Bankai will still function. However, each attack they preside over is lost. Once all five of the moons have been destroyed, the Bankai is released and Byakko can still use his Shikai abilities. Moreover, the only Shikai ability that Byakko can use is Engetsu (Heavenly Moon Sickle) while in Bankai.

Additionally, each of these spheres or moons can be used as either an attack against opponents, a barrier against attacks from opponents or as a way to move between places. Each of these spheres weight can be changed, either making them lighter or heavier or he can control them like satellites or objects used by telekinesis. Moreover, each sphere weights up to one ton, or 2000 pounds and can be stacked on top of each other, providing up to five tons of pressure, or 10,000 pounds of weight.

Hando Tsuki no Megami (Hand of the Moon Goddess): Hando Tsuki no Megami (Hand of the Moon Goddess) is a powerful shield that is created around Byakko or others. The five moons that float behind him circle, with the waining gibbous moon over him, while the other four moons take up positions around him, creating a shield of white as they spin. This ability can last for up to seven posts..

Rei Muum no Megami (Ray of the Moon Goddess): Rei Muum no Megami (Ray of the Moon Goddess) is an attack where a beam of light shines from the waxing crescent moon, as the other four moons rotate around it, drawing energy from the moon and releasing it at an opponent or opponents. When it is fully charged it will release an attack that can do damage over a large area, 200 yards or as small as an area of 15 yards. This attack takes one post to fully charge and three posts to recharge.

Tsuki no Megami no Kisu (Kiss of the Moon Goddess): Tsuki no Megami no Kisu (Kiss of the Moon Goddess) is an ability that allows Byakko to heal those who are injured. The half moon hovers over those who are injured, while the other four moons begin to circle them. As this occurs, they are completely healed of all wounds and injuries, leaving no scars. However, this ability takes at least four to ten posts for the healing to be completed, depending on the type of injury and three posts to become fully powered. Although this ability will not cause lost appendages to regenerate, unless the lost of said appendage is less than one and a quarter hours old. If it is longer than that, than it will only to heal wounds.

Tsuki no Megami no Taizu (Tides of the Moon Goddess): Tsuki no Megami no Taizu (Tides of the Moon Goddess) is an attack where the opponent or opponents are trapped within the five moons that takes up a position creating an equilateral pentagon over an area. If they are trapped, the moons movement will cause gravity in that area to be pushed and pulled, cause damage to everything within the moons. Moreover, all of the moons need to glow before the attack is fully completed, so there is time for opponents to escape. However, once they are glowing, after five posts, opponents cannot escape and will feel their bodies being ripped apart by gravity.

This ability affects everything trapped within the circling moons, from the ground to the night sky above. Moreover, there are three drawbacks to this single ability. The first drawback is that it will take a total of five posts for this attack to be at full power, as each of the moons take a single post to charge, as each of the moons glow brighter, giving a hint of a countdown. A second drawback, is that Byakko could be trapped within this gravity well and could be hurt severely and even killed if he is not alert. A third drawback to this attack, is that after Tsuki no Megami no Taizu has been released, the five moons will shatter and Byakko’s Bankai will end. Due to this, Byakko does not use this ability, unless it is needed and then it is meant to be a One Shot, One Kill attack.

Daakusaidomuun (Dark Side of the Moon): Daakusaidomuun (Dark Side of the Moon) is an attack that is created when all of the moons head for a single target or groups of targets. As the other moons move and begin to circle the opponent or opponents, confusing them. As this occurs, the new moon charges and one fully charged, moves to touch the opponent or opponents, creating a portal that uses shadow illusions and nightmares to scare opponents. Drawing upon their own inner fears, making them think they have been transported to a different dimension, the dark side of the moon or daakusaidomuun.

Additionally, this freezes the opponents within a matter of minutes while they are trapped within this nightmarish world. This attacks takes three posts to become completely powered and last for as long as five posts after it has become fully powered.

Kurayami Kabe Gihen (Darkness Wall Deception): Kurayami Kabe Gihen (Darkness Wall Deception) creates a wall of white and black that appears and envelops the opponent(s) that is within three meters of Byakko, and captures them within a cage. However, it can be held for up to one hour and take up to a maximum of four attacks from an attack that is of a lesser level than Byakko. If they are of the same level, it can take up to a maximum of two attacks. However, if the attacker is of a greater level than Byakko, it will take up one hit maximum before being destroyed.

History/Background:
Born in the 15th District of North Rukongai, Soul Society, Byakko was raised with his brother and little sister by his father, after his mother died during child birth. Byakko, being the oldest of the children did a lot of work to help his father and even took care of his siblings when their father was working. Byakko and his siblings attended the local school, which was not much of a school, but enough to teach them the basics. While living in Soul Society, people would come and people would leave, especially when they went into the wrong part of Rukongai. Some joined the various street gangs and simply disappeared for no reason.

While in Soul Society, he saw many things and helps protect those who were unable to protect themselves from the various gangs that moved throughout Rukongai. Byakko has lived in both the 15th District of North Rukongai, in addition to Inuzuri, the South Alley of Flowing Spirits. While in Inuzuri, he was walking and ran into one of the numerous gangs that roam Rukongai and saw they were hurting a elderly lady and those with her. Being a gentleman, he stepped up and asked them to stop, which turned into a fight with Byakko receiving the scar he has on his left cheek. After the fight, with Byakko receiving the defeat and injury, he was treated by the elderly lady and once he was well enough, offered to help her and stayed with her for a few years.

After his time in Inuzuri, Byakko went to the Shinōreijutsuin, to take the test to become a Shinigami. However, his first five times he took the test, he failed, and before he thought of giving up, he took it a sixth time. On his sixth try, he was accepted into the Shinōreijutsuin. During his time at the Shinōreijutsuin, he would help those who needed help, and he got into a number of fights with the bullies of the Academy, and he was corrected for these fights and did extra work, but he still kept at what he did while he was alive, gaining a number of scars due to these fights.

At the Training Grounds, Learning Kidō
Before Byakko traveled to his Inner World, Byakko spent many hours learning different Kidō, and this was something that he practiced greatly. He would spend a total of two weeks for each Kidō that he was trying to learn. First he started off with Way of Binding Kidō, or Bakudō, followed by Way of Destruction, or Hadō. His first Kidō was Geki (Strike), followed by Sai (Restrain) with Hadō 33, Sōkatsui being his third Kidō. Additionally, Byakko was getting help from a senior Shinigami at the Academy, who went by the name Mizuryu.

Bakudō 1, Sai
By the time Byakko had finished practicing Geki, it was mid-afternoon, and he had forgotten to bring something to eat, and was starting to get hungry, but this was important, and he could go without food. He moved to a tree and sat down under it, resting as he spent a good amount of hours practicing and relaxed for about thirty to forty-five minutes. After resting in the shade, and getting a second wind, he looked at the book he had checked out, which was the best he could do that had the three Kidō,'s he wanted to learn in. Although, reading the book was hard as some of the print has smeared.

Although, hopefully this Kidō, was easier to learn than the other, granted it was a low level Kidō, like Geki, but that does not mean anything. After reading the book for about two or three hours, due to the way the text in the book is, for Bakudō 1, Sai, Byakko stood and read the pages a few more times as he looked at the dummies. "Alright, time to give this a try," he says to himself and Mizuryu as he moved out from behind the book and looked at the dummy and though as he began to speak.

"Bakudō 1, Sai," he says as he looks at the dummy and he prays this will not backfire and get him instead. However, it doe backfire, and his arms are pulled behind him all of the sudden and held in a painful way, "Ahh, that hurts," he says as he tries to break free and walks around, getting strange looks from the students that are at the training ground. Mizuryu continues to laugh as he goes through and finally falls to the ground, breathing and bent over, "Not funny Mizuryu," he thinks to his Zanpakutō. "I beg to differ," he says. "I find it hilarious," and the laughing continues as Byakko works to free his arms. "The only bad thing, is that it takes a lot of effort to break them," and he grunts and stops Which I do not have," he adds as he sits and waits.

After a few hours, he is finally able to free his arms and grunts in the process as he is free at last. "Ok, time to try this again. Wish I had read the book more" he comments on as he stretches his arms and looks at the target again and closes his eyes. "Bakudō 1, Sai," he says as he looks at the target and watches as one of its arms are bound behind its back, and than after a few minutes, it is released and Byakko looks. "Ok, lets try this again," he states as he repeats the process, getting the other arm behind the dummy and after a few minutes, it falls back to its side.

He thinks as he smiles "Almost have it," and he takes a breath to rest as he is getting a bit winded and getting caught in his own bind is not any good, especially if you struggle to get free. Looking at the dummy and smiles as he looks at the sun and sees that it is close to sunset and close to supper time, but that is the least of his worries as he looks at the dummy again, speaking. "Bakudō 1, Sai," he states simply.

Watching the dummy, Byakko waits and than starts to see something happen. The dummy's left arm starts to move and is pulled back behind its back, and held there. Next, the right arm follows what the left arm just did and it is pulled and held into place, than the arms are pulled closer together as the Kidō, works and he smiles, "Good," he states simply to himself as he moves to the tree and the book that is resting against his Zanpakutō and looks up the next Kidō,.

Hadō 33, Sōkatsui
Looking at the dummy, Byakko thought as he read the pages on the next Kidō, he wants to learn, Sōkatsui. As he reads, he thinks and looks at the light or what little remains and thinks are the sun is getting closer to setting, as the sky starts to turn into an orange, from the normal blue. "Sōkatsui, Hadō 33 is a Kidō, with a long range, and fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to Shakkahō, but over a wider area and with more power," he reads as he looks. "This will be a good Kidō, to know, although it is going to hurt if it backfires and it will," he adds as he reads on.

"To use Sōkatsui, you need to say the incantation correctly," he looks as he thinks and he reads on "You must point at the target and say the following incantation, which is 'Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!'" and as he speaks, there is a blue light at the tip of his finger, which is not pointing at the dummy, but it pointing at the ground, specifically his own feet.

As he finishes saying the incantation, the blast flies form his finger and hits him in the foot, causing him to jump high into the air and land on his butt … hard. Additionally, his pants are on fire and as he tries to put the fire on, it starts to spread form the wind, and he blinks, " Suijin, Ruler of Water! The moon shines down on you, giving her blessings! Cast your wrath upon our foe! Hadō 22, Suimyaku." and as he says this, he points to himself and the wave(s) hit him soaking him fully yet putting the fire out and he sits there, like a wet dog. Wiping his eyes, with his soaked sleeve, he sighs, "Note to self, point at the target, not the ground," he says as he sits there, looking at his pants and rises to his feet to go over to the book.

Looking at it as he steps off to the side and away from the book as he gestures towards the target this time, and speaks, "Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!" he says as the spiritual energy forms at his hand and as he finishes talking, he looks at the target and nothing happens, as his hand just has a blue flame. He blinks as he looks at this and closes his hand, thinking away the energy in his hand as he thinks and looks to the sky, and the sun that has now set and the starts are starting to appear.

Closing his eyes, he ignores the wetness, the empty stomach and the pain in his limbs form the backfires of the day as he opens his eyes, pointing at the target and speaking. "Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!" he states as he looks and his hand glows than the blue spiritual energy flies form his hand, and at the target, hitting it and causing it to burn and the area around the dummy is damaged form the blast, but as this is the Training Area, so things like this happen … a lot.

Once the fun and all has ended, Byakko takes the dummy, or what is left of it and places it in the proper place to be fixed, and than returns, taking the book and his Zanpakutō and turning to look at the area one last time. He smiles internally and heads back to the library to return the book. After that, he heads back to his quarters to get changed, get something to eat and to sleep.

After he learned these two Kidō, Byakko began to work on other Kidō. These include Hainawa (Crawling Rope), Kyokko (Curving Light), Tsuzuri Raiden (Bound Lightning), Shakkahō (Shot of Red Fire), Seki (Repulse), Enkosen (Arc Shield), Sajo Sabaku (Locking Bondage Stripes), Shō (Thrust) and Kyōmon (Mirror Door). By learning these Kidō, he would be able to defend himself or others both in the Human World or in Soul Society.

Byakko's Inner World
Once he had finished his time at the Training Grounds, practicing and learning Kid&#333, he would take breaks and travel into the forests around Seireitei to practice and relax. While in the forests around Seireitei, and he would practice alone, when he came upon a large lake and decided to sit by it and meditate. As he meditated, the day turned to night and he stopped to eat and to rest, and begin anew the next day. Byakko had trouble sleeping, seeing many images and once he was able to get to sleep, he was in a different place than he would normally be. He looked around, and saw nothing but a dark grey forest with grey mountains rising off in the distance, and a full white moon hovering in the darken sky.

While in this unknown forest, this unknown world, he went and explored, to figure out how he got here, and how he would get back to Seireitei. As he traveled the forest, he noticed that the moon did not move and it always stayed in the same position, even when clouds came in. He traveled, stopping to rest as he climbed one of the trees to get some food. Once he was at the top of the tree, he looked and saw that he was surrounded by trees of all shape and sizes, while not too far off, he saw the Mountains that were rising from the forest. He went to use hohō, however when he tried, he was unable to and fell to the ground below the tree. He laid there as he looked up at the sky and became unconscious.

When he awoke, he felt the dew upon him, and saw that it was now a little more darker than it was when he arrived. He stood slowly, and looked around, hurting form the fall and began to travel the forest, listening and using what light came from the moon to see. As he walked, he felt cold, and saw that a fog was rolling in and pushing through the forest, and the sound of rain falling, as it hit the leaves of the trees. He continued and came upon the Mountains, and looked around. He saw nothing, but the mountains, the moon and the trees of the forest.

Meeting Hisakatanaito
While here, Byakko heard a noise through the forest, and he drew his Zanpakutō and turned, just in time to block an attack form a figure in all black, wearing what looks like armor. The helmet was black as a moonless night, with a pair of all white, pupil less eyes staring out form the Helmet. A cloak hanged over the figure's right side, wrapping around his back, and reaching to the ground, leaving his left arm and upper body uncovered. The left side of his body had the same armor as the helmet covering it, with jagged spikes rising from his shoulder and forearm. A strong black gauntlet covers his hands, and in it was a copy of Kinchie's Zanpakutō. Nothing else could be seen of this figure as he attacked Byakko.

He defended himself, and also attacked back at the armored figure, for many hours. The two combatants kept at it, each giving and receiving injuries, until both stopped and looked at each other. Byakko thought as he had not asked this unknown figure a question. "Who are you?" he asked the figure between breaths who stood and looked at him. This figure in black made no movements, until he raised his sword, and spoke to him.

"Tengoku Tsukikama (Heavenly Moon Sickle)" he says to Byakko as three rays of white are released through the air when the figure wings the matching Katana. Reacting as best as he could, "Bakudō 8, Repulse" he says as he raises his hand at the three rays of light. A shield appears and takes the brunt of the three attacks, and send them back at the figure, who moves out of the way. "This person is strong, I wonder who he is," Byakko thinks as he looks, "Again, who are you?" he asks as he thinks on his next plan of action.

"You know who I am," the figure says. "We are ones who know each other, although you," and the figure points the sword at Byakko. "You do not listen when I talk, and because of that, we must fight," and the figure moves towards Byakko.

Smiling, Byakko looked, "Then let us fight," he says in response as he moves forward, " Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Hadō 33, Blue Fire, Crash Down" he says as he raises his hand and a burst of blue spiritual energy at the figure as he moves to attack him with his own Zanpakutō.

The figure laughs as he jumps out of the way of the Kidō, only to block the incoming strike from Byakko. "You will not win a fight if you do not listen," the figure says as he grabs Byakko and hurls him to the ground, which leaves a small impact crater, about a foot deep and lands next to him. "You will listen now," the figure adds as Byakko lays there hurting.

"I am Hisakatanaito. I am your Zanpakutō and if you want to live and win, you will listen. If not, then I will not help you in your battles," he says to him as he points the sword at him. Looking up at him, Byakko thinks as he is hurt and winces, "I will listen," he says in response as his is lifted up. "Good, than let us get to know each other," Hisakatanaito says as they spend many hours fighting and fighting and learning about each other.

Graduation from Shinōreijutsuin and Squad Assignment
When Byakko finally woke up, he was in pain form the battle in his Inner World and he walked slowly to get help at the Yonbantai, 4th Division to get healed. After this, Byakko spent hours working with his Zanpakutō spirit and learning more about him. Listening to him and speaking to him as he approached the day he would be graduating from the Shinōreijutsuin (Spiritual Arts Academy)

After two more years at Shinōreijutsuin, Byakko graduated, than traveled to the same forest and location where he had his dream so many years ago, and holding his Zanpakutō he looked at it as he closed his eyes and then begun to speak. "Kurayami mochidasu nasai Hisakatanaito (Bring forth the darkness Hisakatanaito)." When Byakko said this, he felt his Zanpakutō and opened his eyes to see it transform into what he saw in his dream.

Upon graduating from the Academy, Byakko joined the Sanbantai (3rd Division) of the Gotei 13, and practices with his sword day in and day out, even meditating with it, spending at least two hours meditating and two hours are practicing with his Zanpakuto, Hisakatanaito. Moreover, he spends at least two and a half to three hours a day practicing Kidō, so that he can become more proficient with the use of it. However, Byakko is not all work and does have fun when he takes the time to.

He spent many years in the Human World, both on assignment and the times when he could visit and not be needed. It was during these times, that he had a chance to learn some of their fighting styles. He spent his free time reading the various books he had gotten on Earth, and in the Human World being taught how to fight. Here he learned the martial art fighting style known as Fu Jow Pai or Tiger Claw Style. Byakko learned this style for the next twenty or so years and spent time practicing what he was taught and reading what he could about it.

Progression through the ranks and Bankai
Over the next one hundred and fifty years, he spent time working his way through the different seats from his time as an unseated Officer within the Sanbantai and he slowly moved from tenth seat to third seat over the next twenty years, and did a number of missions in the Human World, Seireitei and Rukongai. As he worked and grew in both knowledge and skill, he also began to enjoy the time he spent in the Human World and all that he saw. He had met a number of people who were special and able to see Shinigami and Hollows. He even had a chance to meet a few Quincy and even though they did not trust him, they still got along with him when it came to battling Hollows.

By the time he reached the third seat within Sanbantai, he had spent almost three quarters of a century learning and progressing through the ranks. Additionally, this was about the time where he learned Bankai and thought about trying for a fukutaichō and so put his application in. What was open was the fukutaichō of the Yonbantai, the Medical and Supply Division and spent thirty or so years with the Division. It was here that he had the chance to help others more and to learn all of the necessary healing abilities that the Yonbantai know.

Moreover, it was while he was part of the Yonbantai that he started working on learning his Bankai and he spent at least one hundred years in this endeavor. As he worked, he became more familiar with his Zanpakutō’s spirit and they came to better understand and accept each other’s merits and flaws. Additionally, this was the time where he was able to learn Bankai and this was a step closer to him becoming a taichō, however that is if one did open up and from the look of things, it was gonna be a long time. So this was not a problem, as he had to get better control over his Bankai and to progress more in other areas.

Sanbantai Taichō
After the fifty years with the Medical and Supply Division, and some two hundred and fifty years after his graduation from Shinōreijutsuin, a position for the Taichō of the Sanbantai came open and he applied for the position and went through all of the needed questions and interview.

He enjoys Go and drinking either Sake or Japanese Shinshū Wine. He normally has a small flask with him filled with either Sake or Shinshū Wine. Additionally, he enjoys spending time with other squads when there is down time and even the occasional drinking contest, but this is not done too often. Moreover, he has created two new Kidō, Shioai (The Tidal Hour) which is a protection or capture Kidō. The second Kidō is Seiiki no Yokuchi (Oasis of Sanctuary) which is a new type of Healing Kidō.

Arriving at the Seireitei Academy
It was early morning as Byakko walked into the training area of the Seireitei Academy. The reason for the visit is so that Byakko can learn some new Kidou's that he feels will help him when he is assigned on a mission to the Real World. He walks around, nodding to people he knows and those he does not know as he moves to the proper location that students are learning Kidou's.

As he walks, he thinks to the time he first attended the Academy and all that he went through to learn what was needed. 'The hardest part was learning Kidou,' he thinks to himself as he remembers his first time trying to learn Hyōsekkai. "You got pretty beat up when you tried to learn Hyōsekkai," says Mizuryu as he talks to Byakko. Nodding, Byakko walks on and smiles 'Yes I did,' he states in response to Mizuryu's comment as he rubs his head where he got hit on that day. 'I was hit so hard, that I was knocked out for a good four hours,' he adds.

"What are you going to try to learn?" Mizuryu asks him as he thinks and closes his eyes for a few seconds. 'I want to learn Sai, Sōkatsui and Geki on top of what I already know,' he thinks as he enters the room to read on the three Kidou's he wants to learn.

Once he has found an empty table, he looks around at who is here and finds the proper book and begins to flip through the pages to the section that he needs. Once there he reads up on the three Kidou's that he wants to learn and thinks as he rereads the passages for the next couple of hours. After an what seemed like a day, when it was only a good three or four hours, and about six books that covered the Kidou's he wanted to learn, Byakko rises and heads outside to the training grounds to practice the Kidou's. However, it was more like five or six hours, instead of three or four. Mainly due to having to find and read a number of different books on the different Kidou's, since the primary one was checked out.

At the Training Grounds - Bakudō 9, Geki
He exits the building, moving off to the side and finds a spot that is free of people, who will not get hurt, and sets up some dummies to practice on. Byakko looks at the targets and thinks as he faces the first one and he raises his hands and begins the hand symbols and starts the incantation. His first attempt at Geki, is difficult as he messes up the hand movements to properly fire the blast, and when he is able to, it does not always go the right way, nor the proper outcome is received.

"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with honor and then claw out your own throat! Bakudō 9, Geki," he says as there is nothing at first and he blinks, lowering his hands and looks at his hands, "Did I do the incantation correctly?" he says to himself and to Mizuryu as there is a red light that appears in his hand and blinking, Byakko looks, "Ut oh" he says as he is hit by the Geki and glows red, which disappears after a few moments and he becomes paralyzed...

Chuckling, Mizuryu can be heard inside of Byakko's head, "That will teach you not to look at your hand when doing Kidou," Mizuryu says to him as he grins. "I think I will let you stay like this for a time," he adds as he thinks back, 'Thanks. You could have at least told me not to do that.' Mizuryu just laughs more "Then you would not learn the proper way," he states simply.

After an hour of being paralyzed, Byakko was able to move and shakes his head as he looks. "I must not let that stop me," he says to himself as he raises his hands again, and repeats the process again. "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudō 9, Geki," he states as he aims at the first target and waits and nothing. 'Did I do that right?' he asks himself as he wishes he would have had the book out to double check and he nods heading back inside to get the book that talks about Geki and returns pouring over it as he looks up at the target. He than stands and looks at the book again, placing it at an angle to be able to see it, using his Zanpakutō as the stand and reads out load the incantation.

"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudō 9, Geki," he states as he repeats it, as he than pours over the hand movements and ponders for a moment on what to do. He practices the hand movements as he speaks, "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudō 9, Geki," and there is a glow of read as the book glows and he blinks, "I do not think I was to paralyze the book," he says as he reaches for it to look closer, touching it and getting stuck again.

Mizuryu is laughing at this point as Byakko works to get the first of a number of Kidou's learned and practiced. As Byakko is paralyzed again, only instead of his entire body, it is his legs and he looks and sighs, "You have got to be kidding me," he says as he hears Mizuryu laughing, and he looks at the Zanpakutō "Keep laughing," he states to him as he is now stuck in this position for a bit. "At least I get a chance to read more on the proper way to do Geki," he states to himself as he reads the book and the Bakudō again.

After he was able to move his legs again, he thought and read the book again, memorizing the instructions on how to do Geki. He finally felt that he could do it right, after three hours of getting paralyzed. Turning o the target, he looked at it as he raised his hand and began to speak. "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudō 9, Geki," he states as there is nothing at first than his hand glows red, and nothing happens as there is a puff and some smoke lifts off of his hand. Lowering his hand, he thinks as he closes his eyes, and rubs his face as he looks at the book and reads, "What am I doing wrong," he says as he looks, "Ok, time to try this again, and to get it right" he says as he looks at the target and closes his eyes, calming himself as he takes a few deep breaths.

Concentrating on getting this right and where the target is, he slows his breathing, blocking everything out, except for the target and him, and than he slowly opens his eyes as he looks at the target, raising his hand as he speaks, "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudō 9, Geki," he states as he waits. Red engulfs his hand and than it is sent out towards the target. The target then glows as Geki hits it and not Byakko. Smiling, he looks as the light fades from the target and Byakko looks, and repeats the process over and over for the next two to three hours. After a few moments, Byakko lowers his hand and looks at the target at the light fades. He thinks and believes he has done it, but looks at the others. "I need to practice more," he states to Mizuryu as he goes through the motions again, for another hour before stopping and resting after the various attempts of learning Geki.
