Meeting of the Old and the New (Fay)

Volgana's fingers flew over the key board as he finished his report on his first week as a captain. The stacks of paperwork matched the number of emails he had recieved. A cup of tea steamed on his desk, the aromas of orange and vanilla drifted from the cup and crept to Volgana's nose reminding him that it was still there. He grabbed the cup and took a sip, the warm contents trickling down his throat. A sigh escaped his lips as he leaned back in his chair. "Fun times in the 3rd division" he said with a laugh. He eased himself back down and began his assault upon his keyboard once more.

He had sent a letter to the current vice captain since he had been unable to meet him when he was first raised to this position. The mans file had been read over a dozen times, and Volgana was excited to meet him. He sipped from his cup once more and glanced at his watch. It was almost time for him to arrive so Volgana finished his report and sent it off to be reviewed. He placed another pot of water on the small burner in his kitchen and let it boil. He reached over to the counter and grabbed a apple sitting in a basket. A loud crunch filled the room as Volgana sunk his teeth into the apple. The sweet taste filled his mouth and refreshed his senses.
