Artifact in China: Hanako's Mission

Hinashi had been in the middle of mixing her new batch of nectar, carefully blending the ingredients. A mortar was close by with the flowers she was extracting the liquid from. Finally a milky white turned a brilliant pearl. Hinashi dipped her finger in the liquid and placed a drop in her mouth. The numbing sensation filled her body and quickly passed. Satisfied with the final outcome Hinashi bottled the contents of the bowl into four small flasks. Her work had been done for the day.

Reaching into her kimono she pulled out her pipe and stuffed the bowl full of a purplish substance. She pulled a match from a small pocket sewn on the inside of her kimono and struck it across her bracelet. A bright flame erupted from the tip and was placed against the purple leaves. Purple smoke hung in the air, the smell of plum hanging among the stacks of books, bottles and clothes. A letter found its way under her door, giving Hinashi a reason to stand and stretch her legs. She grabbed the letter and tore the top off. She shook the contents out of the envelope and opened the folded paper. It told her of a mission she would be doing in the human world, china to be exact and who she would be helping. The reward was a decent chunk of change and the added bonus was.......POCKY. Hinashi smiled as she threw the letter on her desk and grabbed her bag. Enough clothes for the trip, enough tobacco to supply her needs, a few bottles of liquor and her favorite flasks. She slipped her kimono from her shoulders and slipped on her harness. Her nano tech chains blinked a light blue before snaking down to the charged kunai on her lower back. Her needles were placed at her waist, her shoulders, and her staff disk was locked at her waist. Her charged knuckle busters were locked into there spot on her waist and her zanpakuto was placed on her back. She slipped the four small bottles into their pockets and locked them into place. Ker kimono was slipped back on, she grabbed her bag and left.

When she arrived in China it was light out. Her sunglasses provided her with shade from the bright sun and kept track of the surrounding spiritual pressure. The built in g.p.s. told her the direction she needed to go and with the money she had been given, she rented a bronco from a dealer and drove out of the city. Her glasses gave her enough direction to where she needed to go, and when she arrived, zoomed in on the area. She could see other vehicles around causing her to become a bit worried. She saw another vehicle and zoomed in on the driver. A slight beep in her air alerted her to glance at the side of her glasses. The person before her was the once she was suppose to assist. "Hanako" Hinashi said before getting back in her vehicle. She drove up until she was a few yards from the others vehicle and exited it slowly. "Hanako Shikijou." Hinashi said to the other person, keeping her voice as quiet as she could allow.

Hinashi waited to be acknowledged by the other before her while she placed her pipe in her mouth. Soon the smell of plum filled the area, and a purple haze clouded Hinashi's face.

Nickcca arieevired a little late due to paper workign he force t odo at the last minute he mubled that hate apper owkr he hard to writhe thing down look that dam book and give all the spellings. wlaked towards thsi concat he sispoired to meet curry his sorwds with him as he keep wlakign thinkign why Jenna sent on this misson maybe it was thwe last misson impressed her. Nickcca arrived a little late due to paper work. He force to do at it at the last minute. He mumbled that how hated that he worked so hard to write things down. Nickcca would look that a damn book and give all the spellings errors. He walked towards this contact he supposed to meet as he carried his swords onto his side. He kept walking and he could not help but think why Jenna sent on this mission, maybe it was the last mission just happened impressed her. He muttered to himself then thought [i]‘ What if it was worst situation or that she is not impressed at all. Why am I going to do?! I know I just gotta work harder’ As he keep walking towards the mysterious contact who appeared to be a girl, simply coughing before introducing himself.

" Hello! Sorry I am late! I am Nickcca Mira Von Vamp, Member of the Ninth Division! I sent to help with something! You said you give the info on this since we will be working together." He said only to stand and wait for this female to answer. Nickcca just hoped to find the info for mission and to complete it. He gets to read dude instead of being force to do paper work since he does sometimes get treat like a kid.

"Yes, I am Hinashi Oro'nyaba, Vice Captain of the 1st Division. Jenna-Taicho asked me to assist you with your mission." Hinashi's eyes flicked to the left and noticed that another person was within the range of her scanner. The spiritual pressure reading was that of another shinigami but one can never be too careful. She eased a needle from its resting place on her side and concealed it inside the sleeve of her kimono. She turned to look at the person walking up and noticed his badge and clothing. It was just another shinigami, but why was he here. After he introduced himself they started walking toward the ruin. She took a quick glance over at the newest addition to the team. She had seen him before around the compound but never had a chance to talk to him. "But why did Jenna-Taicho send another." She pondered this for a few seconds before shaking it from her and taking another puff from her pipe.



She quickened her pace until she was walking side by side with Hanako. "I was never fully briefed since the request came suddenly. What exactly are we looking for and what can i expect from the enemy." Hinashi said in a low whisper. She spoke the truth since the file with details on the mission were entrusted to a shinigami who had decided to take a nap before delivering them and lost the file. "If we encounter anyone, what are the rules of engagement. she said before reaching down and grabbing the coin at her waist. She rubbed the edge on it with her thumb before flipping it into the air. She caught it in her hand and rubbed the edge once more. The heat of the day was soon disrupted by the cool air coming from the ruins.

Nickcca look at gun and wonderer what type of gun it nothing like he ever seen before in his life to honest Nickcca like other people from the 21st century loved new tec all the time. As soon his lowed her gun and nodded and did a little flash step to catch up with them and walking behind them since he might as well until Hinashi asks the question of rules of engagement. He sighs think she treating him like a kid like everyone else and she does not know who he even is he stake his head and answered as had a frowned look on his face. “Look I not a kid i like third seat for squad nine if an enemy attacks or if hollows you toy find it weakness and fight back simple as not need to go thought the long version."

He then noticed she said she was the vice captain of squad one he blinked why does no one telling him anything anymore he grew up with soul reaper for god stake and sighed he miss the old day when he knew everyone now it like being nine over again he felt alone. He as to someone who did not know talking to this higher rank soul reaper like there family to other that would seem strange and all but to him soul reaper are normal to him since he was raised by them since childhood " Hold when did become vice captain man no one tells anything anymore it like being six years old all over again." He blink a soon find out that no been telling him the details again the getting strange same as the last time he got to have a word with Jenna after this.

Hanako Shikijou's Story
"First Room"

"If it is big and ugly, do what you do. No human gets hurt unless they chose to retaliate with lethal force. Now cut the chatters and be prepare. Depth-Com is not like the research team from the Seireitei, they branched to three fields; Entertainment, Chemistry and Military. They would possibly have armed soldiers helping."
Hanako was nowhere off the target when it comes to her father's company. Though she did not tell anyone that Depth-Com was her father's and she would possibly inherit the company once her father retired. All Hanako wanted them to focus was to get the artifact and get out. Hopefully, her father's friend, a captain of T.A.R.N. and head of security for Depth-Com would not be in there. Into the darkness and wits about, Hanako is leading the two shinigami into the ruins. Deeper and deeper, the corridor became darker as the only signs of life were the glow sticks recently used by T.A.R.N. to allow the research team to see where they are going. Hanako picked up one of the glow sticks and held it close to the wall to examine both walls of the corridor. The walls appeared to be disturbed and dragged ahead into the tunnel. "They were hugging the walls...why is that?" Hanako murmured to herself while she pondered. Usually, the soldiers would be going down the middle to have the advantage of fitting at least four people in a row rather than two at a time. It did not add up unless there is something on the floor that they do not want to trigger. "Hold it. One theory." Hanako warned before she tosses the glow stick ahead of her. It bounced on the floor once before it bounced against the curved wall and disappeared to the left while going down.
"There is a stairway ahead. Let's #@&&&&&&&&&&%!"
Hanako went ahead when she told them about the stairs, but something creaked beneath Hinashi's foot before the floor collapsed beneath Hanako, causing Hanako to fall into a pit. Hanako definitely does not have time to catch herself and pull herself out of the pit, so that will hurt. However, Hanako caught herself this time by rolling onto her feet after landing, reducing the fall damage substantially. "I'm alright! I'll look for a way to the stairway and meet you guys there!" Hanako shouted up the pit, knowing that Hinashi will be worried about what happened. Commanding Captain Jenna Water have time to inform Hinashi and Nickcca about Hanako being tougher than she appeared, so they would know that Hanako will definitely pull through and meet them at the end of the stairway ahead of them. Hanako looked around for the path to the stairway and found it just close by. "That...was quick." Hanako commented about her luck of being there when they go down a less painful path down. "Stop right there, raider!" A man barked, causing Hanako to spun around with her hands up. Before her was a suited T.A.R.N. soldier with the equipment with inclusion of a stun baton for each soldier.

"I'm not a raider! I'm Hanako Shikijou! These two are with me!" Hanako argued to the soldier as the two shinigami would appear at the moment she said it or a few seconds later. "What is the password! If you are Hanako and not some fan or impersonator, the administrator would have told you that!" The soldier demanded, not believing until given proof. But what is the password? Her father did not send her any messages for a week now. Hanako pulled out her cellphone to check if he did on the last minute, but the interface is scrambled. "Communication is jammed and you guys are involved. Looks shady to me." Hanako spoke as she stashed her cellphone away. "Our administrator wanted something done and it has to be done. Any interference will be dealt with by law investing this operation. Now come along quietly so we can escort you three out of this ruin." The soldier responded. Since the intent was not lethal, Hinashi and Nickcca will have no choice but to stand down unless Hanako told them to retaliate.

Nickcca flash step qickly see that the convo was cut short bu tby the time he got there it seems that it all sorted out he blink and looked around and sgihed and stake his head as he looked at Hinsahi. " It lucky I am here you rushed into a fight without even look a the sitateion at hand if olny sis soi fong was here right now she would kick my ass for letting this happen." He said and agian loo kat what just happen this could tigger a siries of events knowing his exprince and keep his hands rest on both his sorwd reday for any action that now may come. " look we need be carefull wacth for anymore and incules for nasty anythign a traget to fight now since we commit a unessery hostaile act but let us curry on" Nickcca made small in front of them he look around just to make sure the area before moveing on and looked behind him and noded.

" Right look his any danger at the mo but keep our graud up follew me i stay in front and guiys stay behind just incase." Agian the flash back came if he was infront then at least if trun crazzy they got the chance to run away before thing got ulgy and when he does they wont the frsit he will see and face in battle. "oh by the way if i act stangely run I not even jokeing look i gonna trun on way just run I got the spilt personatily right now i said that and it out of the way which way we going i lead." he said that he took a few step foward still griping the handle of his blades makeing sure that man he about past goes get any idea if still awake form that somehow.
