Untamed (Combat - Closed - R - Tag: Volgana)

Oliver sighed, swatting away the incessant horde of mosquitoes amassing in the warm night air. Night had fallen nearly an hour ago, and despite the sun having been set for some time, the heat just barely relented. With no clouds in the sky to mask the heat and bring more cool air, this night was all but comfortable. Despite being about 100 yards from the Masaru Clan Estate, where Oliver could retreat and bathe in the amazing invention called Air Conditioning - he had his duties as a Clan Master to attend to, which he preferred to do alone to ensure it was done right and with minimal distractions. He had to watch the area surrounding the Masaru Clan Estate and ensue no hollows got too close to the clans headquarters. Not only did he keep an eye out for his estate, but he also kept an eye out for any hollows nearby, and if one was stopped, it would quickly be taken care of from a distance. Thankfully, there was none that decided to show it's disgusting masked face this night, which was a blessing for the Masaru Family, who worked together with the Shinigami, protecting the World of the Living from any hollow threat it could. However, the peace and quiet was regretfully short lived, as the tell-tale, lonely cry of a hollow was heard in the distance, somewhere behind Oliver.
He turned and began to proceed in the direction he heard it come from, but stopped as he realized all before him was clear, and no hollow could be seen. An irritated grunt escaped the confides of Oliver's throat as he simply put it off, thinking simply, Must be my mind playin' tricks on me.... This had quite frankly happened often, and was a petty annoyance when it occurred while Oliver was watching over his family estate. He turned on the ball of his heels and proceeded towards the tree in front of him, once again swatting at the mosquitoes that were amassing around his neck, cheeks, and chin. God damn, what is the importance of these little damn things? What the hell do they do for the environment but be a pest to anything alive?! the Quincy wondered angrily, his face contorting with a mixture of confusion and anger. He walked but ten seconds, continuously swatting, ineffectively scattering the irritating, blood-sucking insects. He swore that if he ever found a way to eradicate the little pests, he would do so before his heart could beat again. To Oliver, they were almost as annoying as the damned hollows... but of course, the hollows had them by a considerable lead.
Now, at the tree, Oliver slumped against it, slowly sliding down to meet with the cool grass. Oh how lucky the green little plants were to be cool on such a uncomfortably warm day, how lucky indeed! How devious of the male Quincy to relax upon it and steal their chill, replacing it with nearly unbearable warmth. However, Oliver would be fine for this moment, and the following moments until the grass lost it's cool touch and he would be forced to shift his position to another section of grass. However, now that he was somewhat comfortable, it allowed his mind to inadvertently shift from the thought of the horrid climate to that of distant, yet pleasing memories. It was as though they came to life once more, and he was living again at the age of fourteen, when he was but a beginner Quincy, just grasping the idea of wielding a bow, of the word "reishi" and "shinigami". His father had been personally training him, and Oliver had a hard time at first - as summoning the bow and firing arrows was at first a very difficult and tiring task for he young male. He remembered it clearly - and even began to feel the numbing sensation in his left and right arm as the memory of energy loss came back to him. As it came back, he smiled and blinked, coming back to reality; smiling for the simple fact that back then was the time when everything was simply dandy and simple...
Oliver's eyes squinted as he felt a strange feeling in his stomach. Was he hungry? No, this was a little more strange, and wasn't felt by only his stomach - he felt it in his hands, and legs, and even his head as well. The feeling was familiar, and it wasn't anything human. It must be somebody spiritually aware nearby... I can't tell... Oliver thought, as he wasn't exactly sure if that was it, seeing as the ability to feel and grasp another's energy pressure had eluded him most of his life. It was very difficult for him to properly feel and gauge ones power by their reiatsu, as he was never really able to feel it just right, and often mistook the feeling for that of hunger or strength-loss; primarily due to the fact that his skill in it was weak, and recognition with him was at a much lower level than most others. Olver was, however, sure that this was the reiatsu of another being, but what that being was, and how powerful they were, Oliver was inable to tell. Hell, he didn't even know how far away it might be. The first thought that came to him was that it could be that of a hollow - and a powerful one, because hollows were normally so weak, Oliver's low-reiatsu recognition skills usually didn't pick up on it - and if he were feeling it now, and it was in fact a hollows, Oliver might just have a fun time tonight...
With that thought in mind, Oliver rose to his feet stealthily, and summoned his Quincy bow - collecting blue reishi to the cross of his bracelet, allowing it to congregate at the red crystalline center of the cross, and morph into the shape of a dark, blood red bow held in his left hand. With stealth not on his mind, Oliver crept slowly from the tree and out into an opening. Regardless of if he looked like a fool or not, or if he looked vulnerable or not - not even knowing if the being was close or far, he spoke loud enough for anyone within the general area could hear him, Show yourself, now. Be you hollow or shinigami, come out of your deceptive hiding this instant! he shouted, not even knowing if the thing was hiding. For all he knew, the thing could be behind him, and he would simply look like a big, stupid ass-face. Although it didn't mean much to him, he wa doing his duty to the best of his ability, and if he was wrong, then he played the "Better safe than sorry" card. However, before leaving himself completely open, he hopped into the cover of a nearby tree, jumping high into the air and landing with a silent plop onto a branch perched high above the surrounding forest.

Volgana sighed as he walked along the forests of Karakura, unsure of where he was and where he was going. He had sensed the presence of another earlier in the day and had been tracking its movement. The massive amount of spiritual pressure in the forest was already throwing off his senses and making his task difficult. What ever he was tracking was a bit smaller than what he was use too and that worried him a bit. If his target was the size of a man, it would be not only difficult to locate, but also difficult to land a finishing blow.
Volgana broke through the cover of the forest and found himself in a clearing overlooking a estate of decent size. Volgana was unsure of who owned the estate and wasn't entirely sure of why the estate would be here on the outskirts of the forest. It was truly a mystery and he pondered his finding. Making a quick note of what he found he turned to reenter the forest when a burst of spiritual pressure caught his attention. He turned slowly to watch the figure. In the darkness all he could see was a figure that had the structure of a man, Volgana was still unsure of what was ahead of him.
As the figure turned toward him, Volgana saw a shape extend out from the figures arm. Volgana's eyes widened as he realized that he had been spotted. A amateurs mistake costed him the element of suprise. "Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who
bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall
of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!" Volgana could feel the power of the kido climb inside him when he heard the figure speak. He could barley make out the words but he knew that the figure had no idea where he was, it just knew that he was in the general area. The element of surprise was still his. "From the skys above, cleanising light that envelops all in its embrace. Give final release in your strike. Be as swift as the headsman axe." In his left arm the crackle of electricity filled the night air and in his right blue flame flicked.
He watched the figure jump into a tree and this was when Volgana decided he would attack. A circle of light appeared in the air and a pillar of lighting erupted from its middle. The pillar struck the tree engulfing it in yellow light. Right when the first kido erupted, the second one busted from his right arm. A ball of blue light ripped from his hand and engulfed the area around the tree in a massive explosion. Volgana drew his zanpakuto and darted back into the trees circling around until he was in direct sight of the area he had just decimated. He was unsure of his targets condition, but he was sure that if anything had been struck by such a assault it would be badly injured.
