Return Silence, the Discovery

[-PROLOGUE-Return-]
Everything went wrong. The battle for London was a great opening for failure and sadly, the Espada fell down that opening. Even though London was completely destroyed as planned and the area was ready to be turned into a base for the dark forces of life to start gathering, one event during this caused a downfall in the Espada. The appearance of the Cero Espada: Ashlei Clixx was the foretelling of a defeat as the infamous Claire Clixx was also on scene. Neither having seen each other for months due to Ashlei’s leaving her side; Claire’s insanity grew as Ashlei become more and more lonely. However she also became possessed. The Dark man ‘Tetsuka Kiryu’ of unknown race and origin became a part of the girl and kept her in check like a dog on a leash. The battle between Ashlei and Claire that followed gave both sides huge casualties.
During the peak of battle, Tetsuka triggered his true power and stole every bit of strength Ashlei had from her body and made a run for it. He successfully fled the area and took Ashlei’s powers with him leaving the girl lying on the ground. After the great battle subsided, Ashlei was recovered by her Espada Guard: Miku Midknight of whom brought her to the medical chambers and they worked for hours trying to get the girl to wake up.
Their efforts brought Ashlei back into the world, but feeling weaker than a normal man. Barely able to walk, Ashlei found it hard to do anything. Even eating proved a challenge as she couldn’t move her arms very well. A whole week of this ensued as the Cero Espada was reduced to a mere ghost of her former self. Her hair grew grey and her skin started to darken to a coal colour. She was indeed dying in this world as the Reitsu around them was so harsh on her body that she used to love being within. After a week though, Ashlei managed to bring some of her bodily strength back. She could move her body but still found it hard to walk as she would often fall down in mid step. The events that occurred in London crippled the girl’s body and heart.... to a point where she couldn’t be brought back to the way she was.
[-DISCOVERY-Silence-]
The room was dark as Ashlei Clixx sat on a stone chair with a large stone table. All around her were bookshelves filled with hundreds of books that Ashlei had read. The Espada library was built as a vision to allow Arrancar around the building to gain some knowledge of the living world and the others worlds around them. However, When Ashlei was slowly picking a selection of books from the shelves to read for the hundredth time, she came across a book she did not recognise. “What’s this?” the book was purple and had a broken spine. The pages were all stained brown and must have been written hundreds of years ago. The cover was dark purple and covered in sand but the title was still readable as: The Other World. Ashlei looked the book’s cover over and saw the back had no words to read. Out of curiosity, Ashlei slowly walked over to the table again but as she put down the book, she fell to her knees but still holding the table.
Her body was still recuperating from the loss of power and felt heavier than ever. Moving herself was impossible without help but she needed to bring confidence to her mind once more. She grabbed with her other arm and pulled herself across the table edge and to her stone chair. Pulling herself up, Ashlei sat down and slumped forwards on the table to take a breather. “This... is so... hard...” After a few minutes of hard breathing, the girl looked up and reached for the book she picked up. Now in a decent reading position, Ashlei flicked the book open so it lay on the first page on the table. It was dusty and the contents page was torn in half so she couldn’t make out a single word. However the next few pages looked promising as each one was cleaner the further into the book she went. What she read though interested her to a point where she could hardly believe what she was reading. The page was written like a journal or diary from a man called Tekiyu Seyuka:
Page 13 – The world around the World
Today has been my fourth day of walking through the precipice world and to be honest, it doesn’t look like I’m going to find anything like the void here. Everything is just jet black and the further from the worlds I go, the more eerie it feels. Maybe I should go back after I walk as far as I can today.
The page had little text but the picture the man had drawn at the bottom of the page was what caught Ashlei’s attention the most. The man described what he drew as well.
Page 13 – The world around the World
My theory is this. We have the Living world where humans live. To this side we have the Soul Society where spirits go when they die. Some could call that heaven. However on the other side we have Hueco Mundo where everything’s bad and evil and is where Hollows exist. Now below those we have hell where the demons come from that we have been seeing recently and a few more worlds around the place like that. The Precipice world holds all of this in one single bubble. Everything is within the Precipice world like this but what I’m theorising is a world beyond that. Would that even be possible? As a researcher I need to find out and so I started this expedition to the edge of the precipice world. I think that pretty much summarises what I’m doing to anyone who reads this book.
Ashlei stared at the page and read the words along with the diagram badly sketched onto the dirty paper. It was of a giant oval shape with several ovals within with each labelled as the different worlds. Ashlei read them out to herself. “Living world... Hueco Mundo... Hell... Soul Society.... what’s his?” the drawing had a ring around the ovals to show the Precipice world but another ring was drawn around this. Words were written here too. “The Void? What.... is that?” Ashlei flicked the page over but slightly hard without realising that the pages were weak. About five pages she held tore apart and fell across the table. “SHIT!” The girl leant forwards to grab them but couldn’t reach as she couldn’t pull herself far enough. However the page that was now open in the book stopped her from moving. It was the middle pages where one was written on and the other was completely blank of words. Ashlei slumped back down into her seat and read the last page.
Page 26 – The world around the World
I’ve now been here for what feels like about four days now which should mean I’ve been on this expedition for I guess 12 days and by god have I found out so much while staying here. Everything in the void is amazing. It feels like I could walk on the air and everything looks so powerful. Seriously, if anyone came here seeking to use the power of the void to do evil the rest of the world would really need to keep them in check. I mean, ever since I arrived here in the void I’ve felt amazing. Every time I try to do something, I do it faster and seem to do it with more strength. I wouldn’t have imagined anything like this in the labs back at home. I got to get some of this soil here back to the labs so I can extract some of the Reitsu here. However I am unsure if I should bring back a large amount as every time I touch the stones around me it burns my hands. It’s not hot though. It’s just full of Reitsu like a gold mine. There is one thing I’m very worried about and that is the creatures here. Upon arriving I have seen many looming shadows and giant monsters capable of destroying cities. Their huge and must be eating the Reitsu infused plants around too. This is truly fascinating and can improve the living world evolution if we could test this source of Reitsu on animals or even people. First, I need to get some samples from the nest over in the ridge I explored yesterday. If I can maybe get a good reading from it, I may be able to create one of these creatures in the Labs on earth. I just hope the mother doesn’t return to nest any time soon.
Ashlei finished reading the page and quickly turned over to see if anything else was written. However the rest of the pages were either crumpled or torn as if something had grabbed the book and torn the last pages. No ink was written on these pages either. “That’s odd... did he die out there?” Ashlei closed the book and stared at the cover once more. “A world beyond the world eh? Where on earth did this book even come from?” that was when Ashlei decided on something but before she could do anything, she had to go see the Espada to sooth their minds on her situation. “Maybe this book can help me...”
