America, Ya [Aina/Verdada]

How long had it been?

When she had reached out to Aina, she frankly didn't know what to expect. It wasn't as if she had a terribly large ammount of information about what the girl had been up to. Last they'd interacted, they hadn't parted on pleasant terms. Frankly, she almost wondered if the girl would wind up dead. But here she was, all ... excited and shit to see her.

She'd had ..... quite the week. Studying the ... interesting subject that had been provided to her. Not usually the type of study she did. But she'd already done extensive work, and if it hadn't been for her remarkable regeneration, she'd probably still be scarred from the encounters themselves. Taking apart her flesh, cutting in and inspecting every bit of information she could get about the ... thing. But thankfully, there was not even a faint scar to hide on her frame.

And when she walked into view, she offered a tired smile and waved toward Aina as she approached.

"Long time no see, hon. Look at you... all fancy. Makes me wonder just what you've been up to since we last left off." She noted softly, keeping up the smile. Even as ... something ticked her Pesquisa just a little. She did her best to ignore it. This wasn't the time to get distracted.

Verdada smiled softly as she walked up to Aina, a sigh escaping her as her eyes drifted gently to a close, and the girl seemed to fixate on the whole shopping date she had planned for the both of them. After so much work, it might be nice to actually relax. Working on her Song. Dealing with Catherine. And now inspecting the rogue element that had been thrown into the whole picture, the notion of just turning off her brain and relaxing for a moment.

Only to stop in her tracks as her pesquisa itched for a moment.

Spiritual pressure?

She looked up at Aina for several long seconds.


"You've been training..." She murmured softly, and her eyes briefly hardened as she remembered the last idea that Aina had floated by her. No, she doubted the woman attempted to throw in with the shinigami. She paused, mind briefly shifting to the promise of a relaxing evening. But she supposed that perhaps was just something that had sounded a bit too good to be true. She was far too nosy. She slowly unclenched her hands, her palms closing back up just as quickly as her nails were removed from her flesh.

"You were serious about wanting to get stronger huh?" She asked quietly, locking eyes with the young woman. HEr shoulders slacked ever so slightly, and a tired smile crossed her lips. "Bit more than I expected, from the feel of it. You found some training buddies?"

Verdada closed her eyes and folded her arms across her chest at that. She was silent as she considered what Aina was saying, yea she figured that was eventually going to happen. Not like there was any avoiding it. But yea, that was ... the point right? She had time to ... develop, instead of being all. Hm.

"Different?" She blinked a few times in surprise, before looking over to her shoulder and smirking a bit. "Well the world's a dangerous place. You don't think I fussed over you for nothing? An Arrancar found me. Real nasty one. And decided to leave me a little love bite. With some of her reiryoku inside me. So you're probably sensing that. I've spend the last week or so studying it. I've had... a couple research projects actually." She noted as she lightly touched the bottom of her chin, before refocusing on Aina.

"It's been a while now... since Ajora vanished. It's got me .... nervous."
