Holding out for Winter [Hisana, Erika]
Mon Oct 21, 2024 12:05 pm
It didn't take long to find the former Commander. Some part of her wondered if there was someone else she might approach in regards to this. But no... what she wanted as Murasaki's opinion. And as it were, the person who would know that the best, was the Former Acting Captain Commander. She'd already been collecting information, keeping her head down. But now she needed to take action as well. And something else was on the edge of her mind. The world of the living.
Turning the corner, she looked around and paused when she spotted the woman she was looking for. Promptly increasing her pace to catch up, she spoke up so that Erika would be made aware of her presence before she reached her. "Miss Masamune. If I could please have a moment of your time." She called out.

Erika Masamune
The walk to the Koizumi estate was not a short one from the First Division barracks. Her mind wasn't empty but it was clear while she reflected on the events. Damning the Gotei United and the Soul Society was a selfish move, of that there was no question, but at the same time the ones that actually had faith in Murasaki's vision would hopefully understand that this was the better alternative. For the people that did not? She wouldn't have wanted them in the first place, and they should never have been in the Gotei United - instead opting to work for some snobby noble family.
"What is it, Hisana?"
Regardless of what had happened, Erika still kept formality but it wasn't like this woman had a family name either. Her presence here was a bit confusing. She would've thought that Hisana was busy in the living world at the moment.

Hisana nodded softly as the woman came to a stop, or well, at the very least allowed her to keep pace as she went. "I wished to ask you something. With the recent developments, a tremendous number of Field Agents from the Seventh and Fifth Divisions, as well as a few scattered other operatives from other divisions still remain largely unaware of the situation on earth. They're stranded, and holding out for contact and assistance. As such, I've taken it upon myself to collect records of deployed operatives from the Seventh Records and First Division. I still plan on reaching out to the Onmitsukido to offer if they wish their operatives to be informed as well." She explained calmly. After all, as one of the few individuals capable of traveling between the realms, she had an obligation to utilize that.
"However... as for what I wanted from you. I ..... have also been thinking about the world of the living. Many places have relied on Gotei assistance, many people on earth feel safe, even relative, knowing that shinigami will show up if anything of concern where to happen. It wont' be long before those that are normally kept in check by Soul Reapers will realize that they no longer can. I think... it qould be prudent to inform the world of the living of what's transpired as well. They cannot afford to wait for our assistance, they need to know they'll have to fend for themselves in the meantime." She paused for a moment, before furrowing her brows.
"But I'm... not sure. It would help some, but potentially speed up the escalation of those malignant groups. I was... hoping. You might know what Murasaki would have done."

All things that should probably be dealt with but there was something confusing about her being here as well. She was among the scant few individuals that could traverse the garganta in the current situation. That could be brought up after addressing these immediate things though.
"You are welcome to inform Kishimoto on Earth of the circumstances that have occurred, and I imagine she can arrange for that to be passed onto the other former members of the seventh division. More specifically, you are not bound to anything right now. You asking me for permission to do all this but I don't have any authority to give you one way or another."
That did lead her to the next part of this though. What Hisana was.
"I would recommend you take care of yourself though. You are an arrancar and the Gotei United opposed the archaic ideals of the Soul Society. There is nothing to prevent that from returning to being the status quo. I would ask what you're even doing here right now though, shouldn't you be on Earth?"

Hisana paused for a moment at that and blinked, her brows raising in surprise as she stared at Erika for a moment. Ah.... well she supposed that made sense. It wasn't as if the woman probably knew much at all about her situation, and from the outside, indeed. Erika would have that kind of perception now wouldn't she?
"I never was. When I was offered sanctuary by Commander Murasaki, there were no conditions associated with it. My tenure as a professor at the Academy was entirely voluntary, and my transition from a professor to a member of the Seventh Division similarly was of my own choosing, and simply authorized by Murasaki. I'm well aware that a number of soul reeapers were bound by the structures that stood around them. The only thing I've ever been bound by was my gratitude to Lady Murasaki, and that is still very much in place." she stated calmly and without hesitation.
Of course, she gave a rueful little smile in regards to her being an arrancar. "True. I suppose a number of powers that be probably would like me dead, or enslaved for the purposes of transit to the Human World. But for the time being, I'm confident that I can handle myself, at least for now. I'm very good at staying safe." She stated calmly, though at that last question she tilted her head. She had been about to say something, but the tone was... different. She didn't seem concerned, she seemed confused and so Hisana turned to look at the woman fully.
"Is ... there somewhere else I should be?"

She shook her head at the over-confidence she would need to view a hostile environment on this scale as being surmountable. Even in her own resistance, Erika wasn't stupid enough to form some kind of net in place. Whether Shishiyuki was going to adhere to the bold move was another thing entirely.
"I would've thought you should be on Earth to ferry Hisakawa but it seems that's not the case. I suppose it is Central 46 and Kuchiki's problem now though."
Regardless of why or how he had left it this long was beyond her. It just turned a snide comment into valid criticism in hindsight. Maybe she ought to have given it to Shishiyuki then but at the end of the day, it didn't matter because the Gotei United had dissolved and whatever the aristocracy decided to do about it was up to them.

Hisana furrowed her brows for a moment as Erika passively seemed to dismiss whatever it was that had apparently been put on Yuuto's shoulders. She didn't know the man very well, she only knew that he was once a Shino academy teacher for the most part before he went and joined the Gotei as a Captain. "If there is some task that was supposed to take place, I would like to know what it was, especially if I'm to expect Hisakawa to approach me at some point about it." she noted with a slightly furrowed brow. For whatever reason, the man hadn't shown up, and she couldn't help but feel a tinge of concern if perhaps something had happened to the man. Or if he had something else come up.
Surely a man in his position would only hold off if something else important had come up. If there was a task that needed doing in the world of the living, she very much wanted to know about it.

"If Hisakawa has not approached you by now, he has neglected it, and he does not have my authority to do so. Nor is it my obligation to carry it out, that would be Kuchiki's responsibility now. At the very least the Gotei United's dissolution spares it this disgrace."
She answered. If she hadn't resigned to the situation for what it was, she might have gone to condemn him and his integrity as a shinigami. However, she had pledged herself to Murasaki and in her absence the best case Erika could hope for is Shishiyuki's support towards her niece's ideals.
If she was to act it, she was going to take advantage of this terrible government in every way possible. If they wished to strip Murasaki's dream of its place and its authority she would find her retribution by using the system against them.

Hisana watched the woman for several long moments. She ultimately had no idea what was going on in the woman's mind. So it was Lord Kuchiki's problem at this point. She was quiet for several long moments as she furrowed her brows. There were a number of emotions and concerns that came up in her mind. But as it were, she also very firmly remembered the conversation she had had with the man. Several, in fact.
The man that had once married her, was no longer there. For any intention or good will that might exist in the man's heart, that wasn't what he was. For all intents and purposes, he was simply a vessel for the interests of his family. And now, apparently, Central 46. She was, ultimately, entirely unaware of the soul society's history. She had learned some of it during her time in the academy, but even still, the manner in which the Central 46 had once been regarded as even in common chatter. She wondered if perhaps Erika had a point in her earlier concerns.
But even so... she hesitated. She did not want to leave these people stranded while the Senkaimon was destroyed. But who would she seek out? Even her temporary living space was gone. And these days, Rukia seemed more and more stressed.
That stress was only to mount. And she wondered if her presence was truly a positive one in her life.
"I see. In that case, I shall ...have to see what happens from here. But as for your concern, I appreciate it. And I'll.. have to take it into consideration." She noted quietly, a very gentle smile forming on her features as she sighed. "If we don't see one another again. I wish you well, Masamune." She then turned and promptly vanished in a burst of black smoke, her spiritual pressure vanishing entirely as she slipped into the garganta in an instant.
She had considered another stop before she headed to earth, but at this point, she supposed that might no longer be wise.
