Wolves at the Wharf [Arturo, Lilynette] Empty Wolves at the Wharf [Arturo, Lilynette]

Across the silent whispering dunes of the white desert that was Hueco Mundo, a distant rhythmic knocking could be heard. The only thing disrupting the oppressive quiet that blanketed this dead landscape. Tap tap tap tap tap. Soon, it was accompanied by a gravelly humming as a particular man toiled away high above the sands, hammer rapping against nails. Tap tap tap. Resting haphazardly atop one of the bleach white plateaus that dotted Hueco Mundo, was something out of place. Somehow, a sailing ship had found its home here, and by the looks of it, it had travelled hundreds of miles and centuries of time to get here.

The swollen withering wood crumbled to the touch, seaweed draped across its mast and barnacles coating its hull. This ship had seen better days. But the man dangling over the edge of the deck was doing his best to patch up what he could. It was his old ship, after all.

Spare nails held between his teeth, the man continued to hum his working tune, grumbling lowly to himself. "Don't worry, lass. Have ya good as new real soon..."

Arturo Galavantes, an Arrancar keeping to himself out in the desert, had decided it was time to make some changes. But first things first, he needed a ship. And he had known just the one. Unlucky for him, the particular ship he had in mind would have been at the bottom of the Pacific for... say, the past 400 odd years, along with the rest of his crew, or whatever was left of them after getting picked clean by the lamprey and sea worms. That being said, finding the ship was an undertaking to say the least. It took him... who knows how long.. to find the damn thing, combing the sea bed of the human world for what seemed like eternity. But what was a captain without his ship, and when he laid eyes on her it was all worth it. One quick garganta later, and he had her back in his arms, secured away safely back in Hueco Mundo.

Sure she was a bit worse for wear, but he'd have her patched up and sailing these sands in no time. THEN.. maybe he could assemble himself a proper crew...

There were a lot of things that Lilynette had seen in her years being around this shitty dump. But a whole ass boat was something that drew even her attention. At first, it would just be a couple of her wolves, silently watching the arrancar from the distance. Likely first one, that had been drawn by the sight. Then a couple more came in and investigated. And eventually, one of those shimmering Blue wolves would approach the arrancar, stopping a short distance away as he hammered at the wood, only to chime up with a feminine voice.

"Whatcha workin on?" It ventured.

Arturo knew he wasn't alone out here in this desert, no matter how vast and empty it may seem, it was plagued with an endless supply of hollow and the like, and he was not usually in the market to make friends with the strangers and passerby's that were unlucky enough to enter his territory. That being said, the first visitor to linger nearby was enough to get his attention, but after it slowly became a party, the seafarer felt himself growing more and more on edge. The thing he couldn't seem to shake was that he seemed to recognize this feeling, something in the back of his brain that he couldn't put his finger on. Lucky for him, the form that this visitor decided to take was enough of a give away that his bell was officially rung. What in Davy Jone's name was the primera doing all the way out here? What could that old dog possible want with him. As far as Arturo knew, Starkk had vanished along with the rest of Las Noches around the same time he himself high-tailed it out into the desert. Knowing a team-up seemed unlikely, the other possibilities ran a chill down his spine, gripping his hammer alittle more tightly as he continued to work.

Then, they called out to him. Before he knew it, he was calling back. "Patching up an old fr-..." But as the cogs turned in his brain, his sentence was cut short. He dropped the hammer down onto the deck and rose to his feet, turning to face this wolf with the feminine voice. That wasn't Coyote Starkk.... so then who in the hell was it...? Resting his hand down on his belt, his thumb looped around the hilt of his blade beneath his heavy duster seemingly sodden with sea water even out here on this endless expanse. "Who the hell's askin'...?"
