Isane is generally quiet, shy, and observant. Her sense of loyalty is strong for those that she feel she's grown close to. However, she appears to have developed a film between herself and others to keep anyone from getting too close. For now, she believes her loyalty should remain with the people around her who she has sworn to protect as a Doctor should. This, sometimes forms into an impatience of sorts, an inability to keep herself from rushing first into a danger in hopes of helping another. Even when faced with strong opposition, Isane has always been an action first ask questions later type of gal.

She also seems to lack any real girly qualities outside of her body, entranced more with dirty work than anything else. Her appearance plays a big role in her shy exterior, making her feel awkward to speak out, which explains why she always acts first. Though, when it comes to saving a life, her voice becomes incredously booming and purposeful.

This opens the gate to, what some would describe, a split personality. Maybe after years of being around a certain someone, Isane had picked up the knack of giving off a bloodcurling aura when her nerves are ticked. That shy motherly vibe of hers evolves into a vengeful woman that will take barely a hint of opposition. Her eyes lose their color and ooze a look that only a trained serial killer could wear, eyes that denote the multiple ways Isane knows how to kill a person and make it look purposeful.

However, even when she's like this, her kindness shines through, giving the people around her a chance to evade any harm by simply appeasing her, and once that is done, Isane reverts back to her normal shy self as if nothing had changed about her. There's a secret that she keeps inside of herself, one that she hopes will never need to rear its ugly head. A longing distance to her gaze that only the most perspective would notice.

Fun Fact: Isane, even now, still has the weirdest frequent and recurring nightmares. The kamaboko (a fishcake made of pureed surimi) still hunts her to this day.

Zanpakuto Appearance
In its sealed form, Itegumo takes the form of a katana with a deep blue handle and a pointed round guard, somewhat similar to a snowflake. It is kept sheathed on the left side of Isane's waist.

Sealed Ability
Evolution forced by the growing powers of the world, Itegumo gained a sealed ability through Isane's experimentation with it.

A weak ability at surface value, Itegumo's influence directly affects Isane's body by slowing the flow of any blood outside her body. This means that any open wound Isane has bleeds at a slower rate than a normal Shinigami's, and blood that is anywhere away from her carries potent traces of her Reiryoku as it takes longer to dry or flow against any surface.


Shikai Appearance
Its Shikai command is "Run" (奔れ, hashire). When its Shikai is activated, two smaller blades protrude from Itegumo's hilt at 45° angles.

Running Cold
Itegumo has two functions once Shikai is activated: affliction and solace. Affliction is Itegumo's main ability while Solace is secondary.

Affliction: This ability of Itegumo is only applicable through the middle main blade and only activates after Isane has stabbed whatever opposition she's facing. It is best described as a parasitic injection of her Reiryoku that's main goal is to infect an individual's body in totality, with said infection starting at the inflicted wound. The telltale sign of affliction is the loss of warmth where one was injured as the skin around the wound begins turning blue and black, veins of similar color spreading from it. Since it is Kido based, someone of greater strength and ability may use their Reiryoku to either mitigate or nullify Itegumo.

Similar to her Sealed Ability, blood does not flow easily from the wound Isane inflicts with Itegumo when she is using Affliction, and as Itegumo infects more of her opponent, that individual's body begins to turn cold, imitating the effects of hyperthermia. The first wound usually numbs after a post has passed, and the afflicted limb begins to slow as time passes, varying based on Isane's opponent. As the effect spreads, increasing in speed if Isane applies Affliction with more cuts, a person will begin to feel nausea, trouble thinking, an increased heart rate, and trouble moving their body.

Solace: Itegumo's secondary ability, activated by speaking, releases a powder that resembles snow in appearance and feel from the two smaller blades that protrude from Itegumo's hilt. This powder is extremely light, floating from Itegumo like fog, quickly filling the environment around Isane with a light pale film. Solace takes effect once a person has breathed it in or allowed any wound to be touched by the powder floating around.

Anyone within Solace's range cannot hide from Isane because Itegumo now tracks a person's heartbeat. Due to Affliction, a person's heartbeat would begin to beat irregularly at some point. This irregularity isn't particularly dangerous because of Itegumo but because of Isane's knowledge about the human body. She is capable of discerning individual people based on heart rate alone. The only way to hide from Isane is to resist Itegumo's influence and restore one's normal heart rate or stop it all together.

Solace, Comforting End: Solace has one extra power which is only useable once a person's limb has been afflicted for more than five posts. This is the use of Itegumo's powder to remove Affliction from a person's body, reversing the hypothermia effect by rapidly warming the body. This, however, has an immediate negative effect on a person's body as the sudden rise in body temperature causing that person's blood to clot and explode veins and arteries.
