Quinn felt his blade meet Hono's as he deflected her counter and launched his thrust. However, he watched her dodge, Well, shit. He grunted with her shoulder charge knocking him down. Quinn rolled along with the force up to his feet, he kept his kneeling stance taking a moment to think.

He then activated a kido, "Hadō #4. Byakurai!" As soon as he shot off the blast at the woman, Quinn used Shunpo to close in the on Hono and slashed at her side. He didn't know how good she was with speed, so he hoped his kido had caught her attention.

Hono was glad that she managed to knock him down. As she went on strike, she was struck with the kido blast, purely surprised by the sudden incantation. It stopped her initial slash. She used her speed to avoid his slash at the side. Honestly, she was impressed that he even used Kido. A lot of the Shinigami she fought with just went all in with swordsmanship.

With an exhale, Hono would go for a thrust now, aiming directly at Quinn’s chest, wondering how the man would follow up. As much as she wanted to, she knew she couldn’t use her Shikai to end this fight quickly.
