Savagery?
Beauty?
Death and Dismay?
Pitter patter the feet of innocents who lives were but an afterthought. Dragons roared into the sky, the things of legend. The words to describe raw destructions are lost, for what else could capture this moment than to witness it? Consume it? Have it be engrained into the ground they stand? The Vasto Lorde thought this something different than the sophisticated showings it had participated in.
It feels like a challenge.
Its blade sunk down into the ground, its head alofted upward towards the falling beasts of energy. It looked like stone before its frame became enraptured by a sickly aura. If the world could feel the Shinigami's attack, it could feel its raw desire cracking its own armor. Its knees bent, cracking, as a hand was placed into the shadows of its face. Bulging, its arm swelled until the metal around it groaned.
With a silent roar, it jumped, its body soaring in seconds, the ground beneath it nothing more than rubble. In a world where nothing existed that truly questioned its power, these moments felt like the sweetest of candies. Maybe Kido does have some uses outside of nuanced setbacks. It'd know soon enough as its blade came up and clashed with the dragons that came for it.
The explosion was one that rocked the Rukongai and shook the Sereitei.

UNOHANA YACHIRU | BLOODLETTER
One by one, Yachiru could feel the Hollow and Arrancar Reiatsu signatures vanishing. It was usually prefaced by a large burst of Shinigami or Shinigami-adjacent Reiatsu as well. This would not be a victory today. Far too much had been destroyed for it to be considered as such. It was too bloody of a day—even without the pitter-patter of Minazuki's fluids as the liquid that had been sent skyward fell down in a grisly drizzling rain.
But it wasn't just Hollows that were disappearing. Strong sources of Reiatsu were fading, and one familiar source was all-but-undetectable. She couldn't even be sure it wasn't the echo of a dead songbird. Countless weaker signatures were snuffed out—gone and likely forgotten for months to come. She wasn't going to be able to enjoy this as much as she would want to.
"What you need to focus on right now isn't healing."
She was certain that's what a certain man would say to her. She knew it to be true. She knew it more than anyone. She should be out there, adding to the body-count. If not for duty, then for revenge or even atonement. And yet...
"If not me, then who?"
The cloud of dust and debris was mixing with haze caused by the existing liquid being vaporized by her Kidō and new liquid forming. She landed with a predatory grace atop a charred wooden pillar. She called out to the Hollow, wherever he may be within the debris field. "Hollow. Your masters or allies, whatever they may be, are dead or routed. If I were you, I would consider joining the latter before joining the ranks of the former." She could not tell whether the Hollow was still alive. But she bet on the fact it was. And for once, she hoped it was. She needed to conserve what strength she had to proving that insufferable man wrong.
Hope is a Disease

It fell, like a rock. Body hitting the ground, a satisfying crunch as smoke or steam or whatever cloudy wisp ordained itself possible to leave its burning carcass. Parts of its armor had fled, melted off by the high energies that had licked its body. However, it seemed all too energetic for a beast that had taken an attack as powerful as that head on. Its arched back straightened as its entire form popped and snapped, twisted bones, limbs, and skin slowly reknitting back to its gruesome visage.
However, its face would turn to the woman who addressed it. It lived, but it had suffered its fate. Continuing the battle is possible, but it had also sensed the disappearing signatures of those that had joined the battle with it. It wondered if this day is a victory or a defeat? Either way, it had done its job. The Rukongai, wherever it had deemed visitable, would be in disarray. Hollow would continue feasting until satisfied or slain, the numbers of causalities and the world of souls crumbling as the Gotei would scramble to restore their precious balance.
It would begin to refer to its opponent before a large mass of black feathers and muscle landed beside it, a humanoid figured with wings jutting from its forearms and back, its head crow shaped with a white and black mask decorating its visage. Its croaking voice came out as its beak moved.
"Cawk- Kurosaki has secured his goal. Cawk- Orders to return immediately. Cawk."
It seems it's fun would have to wait another day. It had wanted to test to see which would keel over first, it or her. Whatever. It turned from her without a word, its blade carving the ground beneath it as a gargantua opened up to welcome it home. It gave but a passing glance behind itself to the woman, wondering if they'd ever clash again. It'd be fun.
