Mind Over Mayhem [Kalama/Natsumi]

While she was improving her Shunko all the time, it would be a stone cold lie for her to say that she had it anywhere close to being mastered. The flames weren’t under her complete control and while she was able to continue to attack the woman’s barrier, the strength of her fire wouldn’t remain constant, fluctuating from time to time. The heat was intense for her and she could feel the tips of her fingers start to burn. She couldn’t keep the barrage up for long.

The assassin heard the hysterical screams of the woman and Kalama briefly pondered over the incident with Stella. As far as she was concerned, the redhead had deserved everything she’d gotten and was lucky to have survived at all. For the centuries ol Shinigami, the treatment she’d delivered was almost merciful, compared to what most Quincy received.

Compared to the brunette’s tone, Kalama’s was far more cold and business-like. “She’s alive, isn’t she? I could’ve easily left her to rot in that forest like the idiots she was with. You should be thanking me for sparing her life. More than what fucking Quincy deserve. They should all be buried in the ground.”

Her energy was draining as well and with the damage she’d taken already, Kalama knew that she couldn’t have a drawn out battle with this like pain in the ass. She needed to deal with this soon. With that in mind, she’d cut off her plume of fire, before attempting to Shunpo behind the woman, launching a powerful punch that contained the full force of her Shunko behind it.

Time was of the essence.

If Kalama didn’t have her mask on, she’d have spat on the ground in response to the woman’s bleating. It was precisely the same kind of shit that Stella had kept going on about during their fight and had zero effect on the assassin. It was so painfully naive, fuckingly naive. It drove her fucking mental and the purpled eyed woman couldn’t help but want to string this bitch up just as had with the redhead. Yet, she knew that even though she wanted to, it would only make things more difficult for her. The world was shrinking with every attack she made, her places to hide decreasing. She had to pick and choose with more care, even if the idea made her feel violently sick.

The attack was fierce this time but Kalama was rather more prepared, having seen the woman’s abilities multiple times now. Using her Shunko, she would burn the objects that came towards her, hitting them with powerful strikes that would melt or pulverise the items thrown. It wasn’t a perfect solution and she couldn’t deflect them all but it saved her. The energy it took to keep her Shunko up though was immense and she was tiring, her body language not as imposing as before.

“She’s a naive little slut and you’re no different.” Kalama replied callously, uttering her thoughts aloud. “Are you honestly defending her because she’s good or is it because you’re just upset because you won’t be sharing her bed for a while?”

Her mind, however, would divert from killing the woman to getting out at this point, knowing that it was the priority now. She could put this woman through hell another day, when the situation was more in her favour. Her wounds were adding up fast and escape was her only real option.

Placing her palms on the ground, she’d utter. “Bakudō #21. Sekienton”

The spell would cover the area around her in red smoke, which would hopefully give her enough time to Shunpo a fair distance away, where she could at least begin her retreat.

As much as she’d have loved to turn around and smash the woman’s face in, there just wasn’t the time for it. She could hear the sirens as well and after the previous crap she’d gotten involved in, Kalama didn’t need any more of it. Again, the green haired assassin was going to have to change locations and return to mainland Europe although the question of which country was a good one. France and Germany were out so she was going to have to bypass and maybe go further south. It was becoming more difficult and she reckoned that sooner or later, she might just have to jump continents for a while.

If the brunette desired to chase her then there wasn’t much she could do about it and knowing that, she decided to taunt the telekinetic before leaving the woman to make her play, shouting at her with a voice that was filled with woman. “You can try and fail to catch me if you want but know this. I’m going to find Stella again one day and next time I won’t be so fucking gentle. I’ll turn her into my bitch, then do exactly the same to you and every other useless shit she knows.”

Flipping the woman off, she’d turn and Shunpo off, the ball in the brunette’s court.
