Sparring Over Sake [Yuuto/Mirai]

Mirai was smiling behind the book, watching him tap his fingers up the spine. She could feel herself getting a little giddy... excited even. He leaned in and Mirai pushed herself deeper into the couch, as if she was trying to get away.

“Maaaaybe… It’s not my fault you drink it so quickly,” Mirai said, trying her best to hold the book up, but it was pushed out of her hands. With her blush revealed, Mirai sucked her lips in, trying to hod back a smile. Giggling, she looked to the coffee table where her drink was. “Fine, fine…” she said and then reached out to grab the glass. She took another sip… and then another. “There. Two more. Is that enough?”

Well, when he was in good company and had good drink, how could he not be tempted to pick up the pace? As Mirai went to find her glass and take another sip, Yuuto leaned back, resting an arm on his leg and his cheek against an enclosed fist as he watched her take two more sips. When she asked if it was enough, Yuuto tilted his head back upright, his thumb slipped under his chin and his index curled horizontally in front of it.

"Mmm, is...is still just sips, though...but, a'ight, 'at's good fff-for now."

Despite this, Yuuto slowly lifted a hand, reaching out to gently tuck a few stray locks of her hair behind her ear, his hand gently grazing her warm, rose-colored cheek as the sly smile shifted to one more relaxed, casual, yet still holding its own kind of whimsy to it.

"Soo...was that the last volume? How wuz the...the endin'?"

There was an element of self-control that Mirai had to practice here. The problem was… she was drunk and those last sips were going to hit her very soon. Mirai pressed her cheek into Yuuto’s hand as he caressed her. “Be careful, Yuuto…” she said, a sly warning toward his drunken state. He often got more affectionate and touchy when he was intoxicated. She didn’t mind it, but normally she made sure to stay… less drunk than he got. It allowed her to stay on her guard, but that guard was down now. A single move in a certain direction from either of them, and they may regret not remembering this night when they woke up the next morning.

"The book... is... fine..." she said, a low whimper following. Before he could take his hand away, she found it, and laced her fingers with his. "You... are druuunk again."

Yuuto's other hand went to his mouth, suppressing the light giggling at her warning, before it eventually dropped, and he chuckled a bit louder. While his head was hazy, he was honestly more happy that he was spending time with her, and they were enjoying one another's company. But, with both of their guards down...it was entirely possible that this could go further than either of them intended.

His eyes darted to his hand as he felt their fingers interlace, causing the Captain's relaxed and casual smile to turn to one of wistfulness, and, in response, his hand gripped ever so slightly tighter around Mirai's, his other raising to cup the other side. As his lips parted to respond, Yuuto suddenly laid down against Mirai's chest, bringing their intertwined hands to his lips.

"Don't...don't wanna be careful tonight..."

Mirai wiggled her fingers around his and as he leaned in to lay down, Mirai adjusted the way she was lying. She saw what was coming, as it had come once or twice before. She maneuvered her legs to be on either side of him, letting him lay on top of her, his head on her chest. She ran her hand over his hair and down his back to rest there. ‘Another night and we’re safe… I have to be careful with this…’

“Just go to sleep…” she whispered to Yuuto and then leaned down a bit to kiss his forehead. He wouldn't remember. Mirai began humming a low tune, knowing that she would be here for the next eight hours, if not more. That was fine, since she was tired too. Once he was finally asleep, Mirai let herself fall asleep too.
