It is official. My mother does have cancer. She just got home now at 12 30 AM, explaining to me that she does have "Tumors" in her body. I kept on asking her how bad it was, but she didn't explain the exact severity of the cancer, nor did she say she was given The Date by her doctor. What she did tell me however is that as of tomorrow, she will begin Chemotherapy in order to get rid of the tumors. She tells me that "She can die," and that me and my brother will have to take responsibility for when she endures chemo for the next several months. I can guess that if she must undergo chemotherapy, her case of cancer is serious.

Right now, I am uncertain of what to do to prepare for this, or if I can handle something as serious as this. I do know how much chemotherapy can screw up one's health, so I am not going to like what is to happen when she begins. I feel so shocked that I can feel nothing. I did have a light hunch that her biopsy a month ago wasn't just a mere condition for her lymph nodes, but I never suspected something of THIS much severity. Mother has been doing most of the dirty work, cleaning dishes, preparing meals, cleaning the house, and doing work. Odds are that whence she goes through something as hellish as Chemo, she's going to be a total wreck...

Odds are I will be much busier for the time being, since she won't be able to do any of the chores anymore. I will try my best to stay active on this site, but with all the things I have to do for her, it will not be easy. Forgive me if I am away for too long, or if I don't respond often when I'm on Xat.

This is 110% understandable Raen. My father passed a year and a half ago from cancer and he managed to take 6 months of life expectancy and turn it into 3 years of fighting. Don't lose faith and know that if you EVER need someone to talk to, or any kind of advice, I'll be here...
