THE FULLBRINGER APPLICATION

I. Basic Information

» Name: Abdirahman Mohamad Muhumed Xildiid Kooshin Cigaal Libaan Ali Mahamed Ahmed Haaruun Mahadaar Isaaq Mahamed Subeer Siciid Baahale Miyirwalaal Ogaden Absame Kuumade Kablalax Daarood-Ismailjabarti
» Alias: Abdi
» Age: Dunno, most people in these ends don't know their birthdays.
» Gender: Male

» Association: Burcad Badeed - The Association Of Somali Seafarers Off The Coast Of Africa's Horn

» Appearance Written: Tall and malnourished, his fairly fragile form betrays the viewer – despite looking like a poster boy for world hunger organizations, Abdi’s never been held back by his skewered diet and addiction to khat. His skin tightens across his form, making his yellowy eyes bulge out and giving him a terrifying gaze. His hair is wrinkled and balding up front, mostly due to most of the keratin going into the absolute dome that is his skull-crushing forehead. His right eye is pale and blinded by food poisoning, and his teeth are permanently colored by fluorine in the water he drinks.

His thin frame reveals plenty of his skeletal structure, especially across his arms and legs. However, being a good boy who drinks his milk every day until he became lactose-intolerant has granted him a solid bone density, making him much heavier than his appearance portrays.

I. Personality

» Personality: One can say that Abdi’s a patriot. Every act he takes in the far waters off the coast is for the sake of his beloved country – even if the rest of the population don’t agree with him. The danger of being a seaf- pirate, the dangers of being a pirate has made him stern, cold and calculated, always watching his own back and keeping himself armed and ready, for the raging waves, stank of rotten rice and chicken sauce, and the never-ending chewing and gnashing never guarantee rest for a ni-

Sorry… shouldn’t go that far.

But his crew are currently the only ones who can bring out the human in him. Make him laugh, smile, and embrace the brotherhood that he’s made. They know how passionate Abdi can be with his vision of a united country – they’ve all seen him bark, howl and draw his saber at every politician who tried to reason with him over desires to make an ‘independent’ Somaliland or an ‘independent’ Jubbaland or an ‘independent’ Puntland or an ‘independent’ NFD.

His deep, deep love for the Somali people, and the Somali country – its dry climate, lack of wildlife, the wounds on every single cattle who enjoys the benefits of absolutely zero animal rights – means Abdi will drag himself through thorns, ice and fire to make a land- nay, a world where a Somali man can sip his cup of tea, gnash on his khat, work on his mini-taxi and live the life of a millionaire. And he’ll kill as many narrow-eyes, lightskins and bantos as he can ever get the chance to in order to realize his dreams.

» Likes: Tea, Khat, Rice, Rotten Goat Milk, True Somalis (none of that "I'm half-Somali half-Yemenese" bullshit)

» Dislikes: Narrow-eyes, Icemen, Lightskins, Bantos, Any Somali Who's Not From His Clan, Chiliheads, Eskimos, Indians, Pakistanis (aren't they just Indian with less spice?), Kurdis (they keep seducing our Somali brothers)

I. History

» History: Abdi was born in a hut that his great-grandmother built with her own hands, reinforced by his parents to shelter from the cruel wind and storms that often terrorized Africa’s Horn. It was an especially windy day when he was born, and the roof almost blew off completely from the bashing currents – safe to say, nobody kept track of dates back then, so he has no clue when his true birthday is. Just like all other Somali men of his age, he chose the 1st of January as his birthday – easy to remember for more reasons than one.

Abdi was born not a city boy in the residents of Banaadir, but outside of it as a member of a migrating clan of nomads under the name Isaaq. Day to day life included leading cattle to nearby watering holes, fleeing from creatures of the night, and keeping everyone’s bellies half-full, half-empty. If some bastard hoodlum tried to steal a goat from the family, they were beaten to death on the spot, since food and resources are scarce in the eastern regions. Abdi participated in one of these getbacks, capable of holding his ground in spite of his young age due to his innate, unnaturally robust skeletal structure that prevented him from breaking any of his visibly thin, lanky bones. One of these attacks put blood on his hands at the age of 8 – a young boy capable of boxing with adults was a rare sight, but not an unwelcome one.

All of this violence and power was pivotal to their family… but also inherent. You see, Abdi’s mother never picked up a weapon herself, but she hailed from an entire family line of Fullbringers, and she possessed ample amounts of Hollow energy within her. She’d had so from birth, and so did Abdi. The inherited prowess from his mother took root in his bone structure, but he wouldn’t realize its potential beyond stronger bones before years had passed…

But he made well with what he had for now, even as a mere child. Due to his displayed combat skills, he aspired to join the military when he grew up, but his parents wouldn’t have it. Somebody had to lead the herds when their time inevitably came, and with his strength and vigor, Abdi could make sure that their cattle and belongings would never be stolen by some filth trying to smear shame and dishonor on their family.

The problem was… Abdi wasn’t exactly an obedient kid.

As a matter of fact, he’d punched his own father a handful times in heated arguments, and while his mother initially believed that she could discipline and teach him what was right and wrong, time morphed her worry for her only child into genuine fear. Abdi became more and more uncontrollable over time, but he saw no reason to leave his family yet… not until his father passed away.

With his mother becoming a widow, Abdi’s grandmother sternly decided that she was to marry her late husband’s younger brother… the problem being that said brother was currently 13. The mother-in-law simply planned to wait for him to become of age, but every soul in the neighborhood had a problem with the entire ordeal, especially since Abdi’s mother was desired by many bachelors as a wife and spouse. Enter his uncle – a wealthy bank director from the capital who arrived to settle the conflict that arose, but upon a single glance at Abdi’s mother, his uncle fell in love and wanted her for himself.

Now… where does all of this tie into Abdi’s escape?

You see, Abdi’s grandmother was stubbornly against any other proposal due to stupid cultural bullshit, but his uncle knew better. To prove his undying, newborn love for Abdi’s mother, his uncle… married his grandmother first. Tricked her into thinking that she was the reason he came here. Held a wedding, shared a night together, and then gave her a huge sum of money to spend in the city far away from here. And while the grandmother was away… he quickly proposed to Abdi’s mother, gave her a night to consider his proposal, then married her while the grandmother was too far away to add any input to the matter.

There it was! The time where his uncle took his mother away to hide from the returning, enraged grandmother. His mum didn’t want to take Abdi with her just yet out of fear of what he’d turn into under the house of her new husband, so she simply told him to stay at his grandmother’s place until she returns. Did he listen? Hell no, the moment no eyes were on him, Abdi made his escape – took the next bus to Hargeysa that he could find and said goodbye to the rest of his family. Thank goodness that he didn’t have, like, 10 siblings like everyone else, or his escape would’ve been impossible…

Even though he fled at the age of 14 (or somewhere around that age), Abdi had grown into a tall man with a small moustache, and he could easily fool other Somalis into thinking that he was an adult – especially with his battle scars from all those brawls he’d participated in. However, he wasn’t allowed to enter the military due to a lack of proper, institutional education, which led him to seek validation in the form of hands-on experience dealing with the local enemies of Somalia – their pirates.

At the age of 16, Abdi began developing his Spiritual Prowess. He began seeing the spiritual energy that floated everywhere, as if particles or colors were flooding in like sandstorms to his face. Pushing at these auras with a hand affected objects in his vicinity, and while he had no teacher to show him the ins and outs of being a Fullbringer, he improvised his way to the ability to grab and move objects just by manipulating the energy around them.

He used this ability to steal a machete and a revolver from a soldier near the town of Bosaso, and with the help of a small boat belonging to a fisherman with a nasty mouth, Abdi sailed into the Red Sea without a compass and without directions – only with a purpose. And his purpose led him to a ship previously belonging to a Yemenese captain, now hijacked and conquered by a group of pirates. Abdi snuck into the ship at night, murdered the few crew members in their sleep, and put a bullet through the captain’s skull.

But the riches that this one pirate crew had gathered on this ship… changed Abdi, somewhat. Spoiled by food and drinks, kilos of khat, and not a soul to tell him what to do, Abdi spent a week at seas deciding what to do next. Conquering this one ship had proven too easy… so why not try his luck? The man who wanted to become a militant instead became a threat himself – it went to show that he didn’t want to serve in the end… only to conquer.

And boy, did he conquer many ships. Burned them down, gathered weapons, and even organized a tight crew of his own. He was destined to live a short but fulfilling, pillaging life… until a giant hole appeared in the continent, spreading Hollows far and wide.

One such encounter with a monstrous Hollow nearly destroyed his entire crew, but it also awoke the dormant Hollow energy within his bones as well as the blood of some of his members who, too, possessed Fullbringer lineages. In his own case, it caused his bone structure to protrude, mold and change shapes in vicious fashion as a form of self-defense. When the Hollow tried to claw at him, its hands were torn apart by sharp bone spikes, and when it tried to just eat him whole, it choked on his overflowing bone marrow. A punch to the mask forced the Hollow to flee back into the sea again, while Abdi licked his wounds and mourned most of his crew members who had been killed that day. However, this newfound power intrigued him vastly.

He'd caught up on the news – a giant, deep hole in Africa was launching these Hollows all across the lands. Probably those stupid Bantos on their bullshit again, but a mere one encounter with a Hollow had already made Abdi's body awaken to its dormant, inherited power, and Abdi wanted more. This bloodlust drove him to abandon the sea and travel into the continent, taking his crew with him to become land bandits instead.

Abdi has yet to reach the giant hole, but he noticed that Hollows increased in size and strength as they got closer. During his travels, he fought, chased off and even destroyed many minor Hollows, allowing his men to gather experience fighting these black beasts and allowing his own blood to respond louder. His Hollow energy expanded as a result, and it allowed him to control all of his bones and their contents in multiple ways, which he mostly used to stab and shoot Hollows in grimy fashion.

This slow increase in power intoxicated him. He wasn’t really a pirate anymore – more like a Hollow exterminator whose help nobody asked for. He simply knew that continuing on this path of black blood would allow his own, red blood to fully awaken one day, granting him all of the powers of his lineage and whatever his mother kept hidden from him. The reason she was willing to leave him back then… was likely because she saw was he was about to become.

I. Natural Abilities

» Natural Abilities:
Street Fighter - Fighting in hand-to-hand brawls from a young age has molded Abdi into a ferocious brawler, in spite of having no refined education in martial arts.

I. Racial Abilities

» Racial Abilities:
Spirit Manipulation - Like all other Fullbringers, Abdi can also manipulate the spiritual energy that lurks all around them in order to manipulate objects. For now, it mostly benefits him as a generic telekinetic prowess that allows him to move objects by controlling the spiritual energy around them. At most, he can rock a house until its walls crack, but he can't lift anything of that size just yet. That is limited to smaller objects like tools, small rocks, or furniture.

Bone Manipulation - His Spirit Manipulation peaks with his ability to control his own bone structure, capable of outgrowing his flesh and change shapes to serve as makeshift swords, spears or bullets. With this ability, he can even pull out his entire skeleton and regrow a new one, manipulating the extra skeleton like a puppet. This doesn't translate to regenerative prowess on his flesh or other tissue, since his access to primal Hollow powers is still limited.

Power Sharing - Some of his crew members turned out to be Fullbringers themselves. They taught Abdi how to share some of his power with them and vice versa, but they also taught him about the so-called Blood Code - whatever power he shared, he was to expect it returned within a span of 3 days max. If not, the sharer had the right to murder the one they shared their power with, despite it leading to the loss of that fraction of power entirely.

I. Fullbring Affinity

» Affinity Name: Raggio

» Affinity Appearance: It's a bundle of grass that he's seen chewing on all the time, but it never breaks nor disappears into his gullet until he has to activate his powers. Abdi has chewed this grass for years, and it directly influences his spiritual powers.

When activated, the bundle of grass is swallowed, and the grasses begin to grow and protrude from his skin.

» Affinity Abilities: The grasses wrap around and fuse with all of his bones, empowering his spiritual manipulation. He mainly uses it to reinforce his Bone Manipulation, coating his bones in extra sturdy films of Reishi and making them so much harder to break or crack when used in offense or defense.

I. Equipment

» Equipment:
Revolver - He keeps it strapped under his belt at all times. Not nearly as strong a connection to it as he has to the grass, but it's served well.

Machete - For the same reason he keeps his revolver, his machete has aided him in coming this far.
