In The Eye Of Envy [Veralia/Alvah]

Veralia rubbed her hand under her chin, taking a moment to reflect on what Alvah spoke of broadening his reach on Earth. That was a pastime she indulged in as well. The living realm had far more color in it than the black-and-white hell of Hueco Mundo, so one could get a sense of life, experience, and the broadening of their knowledge and strength from it.

With an understanding nod, she signaled her alignment with Alvah's perspective. The living realm wasn't just a backdrop for their encounters; it was a canvas rich with opportunities. When her gaze locked with Alvah's once more, her voice carried a blend of curiosity and a straightforward edge.

"We both have a thing for that rock, huh? Well, tell me, how are you plannin' on using earth to scratch that itch yours, eh? "

As she tilted her head, a chuckle escaped her, signaling her growing amusement with the conversation.

"Cause earth is a feast alright. The way they build their cities and communities function makes it a hotbed for our type to want to come out of the shadows and feed. "Envy, depression, isolation, greed, anger, lust; the whole cocktail's there. The way they've rigged their societies, it just cranks all that up to eleven, doesn't it?"

Her comment was wrapped in casual crudeness and underscored a shared understanding of the potential that Earth held for beings like them. It was not just a place of beauty, but a source of power and fulfillment in the right hands.

"Who knows?" He answered with a chuckle. "We do not explore knowing what we will find. We explore in hope of finding something to know."

His explanation's a little weird, but it's mostly to say that he's simply going to see if anything does interest him. For all he know, Earth may prove boring, but he doubts that. Veralia has already given him reason to believe he will find something to satisfy his urges. The culture must be something else entirely than Hueco Mundo for beings to live so close knit. Hollow are but a creation of a human's sin, so he expects to taste all sort of delicacy while visiting.

Well, that was interesting.

Veralia took a long, curious gaze at the male before determining there was no ground to further disagree with him. And given they both had an interest in Earth, a more intrigued expression came across her face as the woman began to rub her chin and contemplate something for a moment. After coming to a concussion, she gave him a knowing stare before patting the man on his right shoulder.

"I guess we both are heading to Earth then, huh?"

Her remark came off with a hint of camaraderie in her tone. As her head tilted to the right, a playful smirk danced across her lips as she awaited his response.

Hmm? We both?

For a second, his eyes stared, a window to the perplexity that had tied his neurons into knots. Though, as a second ticked, his mind opened up to the words she shared, and his body could not help but revel in such directness. With a sudden laugh, his head flung back, his stomach truly tickled by his acquaintance's whims.

"Now you speak like an artist. There is no rhyme nor reason to why and how. We are but tools in this world, toys that entertain till we break. Let us sow a charade together lest we grow worn and thrown wayside."

He spoke in riddles, his words a scheme on the intricates of life and bonds. There is no reason to deny Veralia the comradery she suggests. In fact, with another, he is sure to experience things he'd lack alone. Be their time together short or long, let time do favor an experience well spent.

"Let us not dally for long. Places to see, beings to bother, and stories to write; as they say."

Artist, huh? She never considered herself one, but a bit of intrigue entered her mind after hearing Alvah's comment.

With her blood gaze turned to the front of the pair, she moved her right hand in front of her, and soon an emerald inferno ripped the fabric of space around them. It expanded to allow two people to fit through, as the fiery wormhole reflected a glistening beach on the other side of it. Being one to enjoy warmer weather, Veralia set their path for Miami Flordia as its balmy atmosphere flowed out of the vortex.

Now turning her attention back to Alvah, she would pat his back and chuckle before stepping toward her fiery Garganta.

"You're a weird one, but I like that. No dilly-dallying, then. Come on, my Garganta won't fry you—I promise that to my friends."

Her words were imbued with a relaxed confidence, a reassurance of safety to those she deemed friends. With a final smirk, Veralia stepped through the fiery gateway; leading the way with the ease of one accustomed to walking between worlds and stepping into the summer-like atmosphere of Miami as if it were just another day's journey.
